Yacht Club trying very hard to deflect the blatant elephant in the room. I kinda love them for that. Classic misdirection ploy. Guess what? It's not working.

...I never even considered that... ARRRRGH! Even more chance of disappointment! But what if!? WHAT IF!? Alternate secondary weapons! Mario amiibo gives you traditional bouncing fireballs! Link amiibo gives you Boomerangs! Yoshi amiibo lets you ride a Yoshi so you can jump off him right before you fall down a hole, because you're a jerk! Greninja amiibo will do... absolutely nothing because it's the Greninja amiibo!

Secret Shovel Pong mode confirmed! Still though, co-op, that's quite the exclusive! Plastic Knight costume! Turns him into a 3D model and unlocks exciting, plasticy features!

Also, while unlikely, that box art could be a placeholder. Long shot, but you never know... Normally, I'd agree. But that tweet got deleted pretty damn quickly. And whenever that happens, it almost always means it's legit. EDIT: The only way this news could get any better is if it somehow let you play as Shovel Knight in Hyrule Warriors. Shovel is an item from the Zelda series that never showed up in that game. ... Why do I do this to myself? Now I'm only gonna be disappointed...

What about the Mario series Mario amiibo? Can't that be used in Smash, along with Peach, Bowser, etc? Who says it needs to be part of the Smash series? Utterly deserved though. Shovel Knight is one of the finest indie titles I've ever played. Right up there with Cave Story! This excites me for 3 different reasons. 1. It's a Shovel Knight amiibo and it looks good enough to be my 4th. 2. It definitely adds weight to the Shovel Knight in Smash rumour. 3. The probability of a Yooka-Laylee amiibo has just skyrocketed (Playtonic have said they wold love to make one) and any chameleon amiibo is an automatic insta-buy for me. (Guess why)

DCubed is right on the money. Also, the sheer number of Pokemon make for a insane amount of team combinations. But kiddy? The series makes the mainline Pokemon games look a joke when it comes to difficulty. Especially if you go for the optional Level 1 dungeons. Which are pretty much what you like actually. You get put in at Level 1 with very little items (Sometimes none) and you've gotta go through an absolute juggernaut of a dungeon. So there's definitely some challenge there if you go for it. Kiddy might be going a little bit too far. Especially if you look at the story. Explorers of Sky has suicidal thoughts (Albeit implied, gotta keep that PEGI 3 rating after all!) and flat-out bodily posession! Generally, the whole series has been getting steadily darker (Ignoring the Japan-only WiiWare version) as it goes along and I love it! Most of the villains in Gates to Infinity skirt dangerously close to being a suicide cult. To be honest, TV Tropes "Darker and Edgier" page sums it up very nicely. But there are spoilers galore there, so I'll leave it.

Only if it's that version.

I'd take Shovel Knight over Bomberman any day of the week. Who cares about a character revolving around explosives when there are about 10 items that will no doubt do a better job anyway?
-
You two are prattling on about lighting and such. Meanwhile, I'm wondering who's the numpty using the Chicken Walker mode in outer space. My money's on Peppy, he's too old to get his head around new-fangled controls!
-
That Yoshi one is disgustingly good! Thankfully, I have an XL, so I don't have to worry about losing more money.
-
I feel like this video should be included on Mario Maker and be mandatory to watch. Because I've been planning to incorporate this kind of design in most of my levels for some time now.
-
Yet he loves it in Fire Emblem! Yeah, but I have to agree. If there was anything like Shinren's "back to Level 1" thing, I would have not wanted it. Definitely will give it a try in that case, it'd be rude not to given I adore the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series.

Speak for yourself... It absolutely shoots dead some of my more wacky ideas... And all because people can't be sensible...

New Style Boutique 2: Fashion Forward (3DS) 20th November
Glen-i replied to Dcubed's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Awwww yeah! Sequel of the forever right there! Suffice to say, I will be buying this, and I don't even need no shop assistant to help me with that decision! Real men play Style Boutique! They play it HARD! -
I need the blue one! Why is it so hard to find a blue one!?
-
Tell that to Shulk... So basically the most overpowered Final Smash in the history of all Final Smashes? Ain't nobody solving those nightmares in 5 seconds!
-
Yep, me too. No idea who the hell Jibanyan was. Goes to show really. Pretty sure the majority of Ninty users would say Prof. Layton was the first Level 5 character they can think of. If he's like Wii Fit Trainer and constantly gives you pointers of how to be a true Gentleman, than that's more than enough reason to go for it. Also obligatory "Puzzle solved" Final Smash. But I'm not gonna get too excited for this until something more concrete shows up.
-
Aw yeah, that's way cooler than Autobots vs Decepticons! Not even joking, BTW. Don't like Transformers at all. This is a far more general voting thing. Having a product based one is actually quite bad if you think about it. What about the poor players who don't even like Transformers?
-
Do it every day. Zero difficulties. Why do I get the feeling you play with your right hand resting on the right stick? EDIT: Ignore me. Phone didn't load the picture. Thought you were talking about the actual Gamepad.
-
Am I the only one thinking that Hawlucha got totally gipped here? "We need a Lucha Libre Pokemon to really round out our roster. Are there any Pokemon that would fit that style of fighting?" "I know! Let's get another Pikachu and dress it up!"
-
Middle of London, of course. Place is jam packed with hotspots. It's why I take my 3DS everywhere.
-
Awww, that's cute. Me and my 1,700 or so Mii's will be waiting. Joking of course, congratulations!

That's my only issue with the levels that come with the game, they seem hard just for the sake of being hard. See, I've been thinking of levels I'd like to make. Once I learned about the custom sound effects, an idea popped straight into my head to make a relatively simple level, except that while you're playing, there's some tosspot (AKA, me) making sarcastic and derogatory comments whenever you do something. For example, hitting a block with a mushroom would result in this guy saying something along the lines of "I suppose you would need help to finish this level..." (In a sarcastic tone of voice of course) Basically, heavily inspired by this. Of course, this depends on how much freedom you're given with the sound effects, it hinges on whether I can have more than one on a level. But if all goes well, you can look forward to "Super Sarcasm Bros." EDIT: Turns out that custom sound effects get replaced by some kind of parrot sound when put online, so the best I can do is record it and show it on Youtube. Expected it, otherwise you'll hear naughty words on every level.
-
But then they couldn't use Kuriboh's Shoe. SMB is sorely lacking in powerups, so SMB 3 was probably the right decision. Also, Pokemon costumes have no special sound effects?
-
Well, you're never playing it then. I know you, you couldn't bear to let a demo run out of uses!
