You haven't been to Miiverse very often, have you? There are Mario players out there who struggle to grasp the concept of holding a button to run. I can totally see why they're doing it, could have been handled better, but I'm OK with it. In fact, thinking about it, it's perfect for me. I plan on making a whole bunch of levels. Starting with an entire game's content worth of them, and I want it to progress smoothly in difficulty, not having the more complex features straight away will stop me accidently putting a more difficult enemy in an early level. It will also show who the truly creative users are in those first 9 days. Lack of tools can really show who has the most inspired creations. Flipnote Studio taught me that. EDIT: Also, it's 9 days! With at least 5 minutes a day spent creating stuff! Are you really telling me you'd get bored of this after 45 minutes? Because if so, I don't think this game is for you.

Absolutely. You know, as long as you have an internet connection, you'll have countless levels to play. PROTIP: The best levels are going to be the ones in the style of NSMB. Spin hovering, Wall jumping and Ground Pounding open up more possibilities than the other styles.

Focus on the smaller enemies and try to build up your Chain Attack meter. If you manage to nail a bonus effect, (Using Back Slash from behind, etc) the meter goes up faster. Make sure your party members are focusing their attacks on one enemy. Once you have the chain attack ready, use it to break and topple Xord. Then hit him hard!

You joke, but...

50 hours in? Yeah, go for it! You're getting to the best bit soon.

Agreed! Funnily enough, @Dcubed and I played Double Dash recently. Yeah, that game has kinda aged a bit. The drift boost makes almost no difference to speed and don't even get me started on how much of a blatant padding All-Cup Tour is! The only cool things it had going was the dual driver mechanic and the unique character items, which became completely pointless once you unlocked King Boo, who gets every item. Smash Bros Melee drives me mental because of that BLOODY AIR DODGE! I keep forgetting it makes you helpless! Also, it just isn't as mental as later installments, and I like mental!

Those two kids look like they really don't want to be doing that dance move, and that's hilarious! Actually, I just suddenly got reminded of Bowser. That Koopa's got skillz! This is both the funniest and the coolest thing to ever come out of a dance game.

Oh my daze! They've learnt emotions! Yes, of course I'm nicking these GIF's from GAF. Where else did you expect it from? Also, this is really getting off-topic now... Sorry about that!

Dear lord, we're all dead! This is it, guys! Japan, you so crazy! That only terrifies me more. I'm starting to think they're not costumes at all!
-
To be frank, I'm thinking the same thing. And if you go in expecting that, I believe there's a good chance you'll be disappointed. I'm not expecting to be not even nearly as good as Xenoblade. But I'm still getting it, Xenoblade's gameplay is so good, that I'm bound to still enjoy X!

Oh, and seeing as how people are talking about how Pokemon hasn't done it... It's only a matter of time... And that's terrifying...
-
Yep, I do these things too. Can't be using those Final Fantasy Elixirs, they're far too awesome to actually use! As for the Pokemon thing (Holding buttons when catching Pokemon), that's one of the quirks I actually managed to grow out of.

Ohhhhh! My bad, man, I am just misunderstanding everything today! After using Enchant, try saving the Monado meter for when you need to use Shield or Speed. Buster causes more problems than it solves in my opinion, I almost never use it. Basically, if you see red text during a vision, use Speed, white text needs Shield. And remember that Speed only works on one party member, so try not to draw aggro away from the target.

Mewtwo amiibo has no mouth and he must scream! EDIT: He has no nostrils either! Hopefully, artificially created Pokemon don't need to breathe!

I have a lot of quirks, but one in particular is something that I can't help doing... The unnecessary timed hit OK, I know exactly why I do this, it's because the first RPG I played after Pokemon was Super Mario RPG. Let me explain. Mario RPG has a neat little feature known as the timed hit. During an attack animation, if you press the button at the right time, you do more damage. Press B at this point, and Mallow does more damage than usual. It was an awesome little feature that you just didn't see in RPG's at the time. The problem is, I keep doing this with games that don't have any feature like that. Playing Pokemon? Damn right, I'm gonna press A when an attack connects! I've even been doing it on Puzzle & Dragons Z! I know full well that it's not making any difference, but I just can't help it! I have this as well. I feel like it makes exploring stuff easier, tackling everything before moving on through a locked door. For all I know, it might just be wasting time.
-
Ah, fair enough. You got there in about an hour? I think that might be your problem. (That, or you're not using Monado Speed to dodge physical attacks you forsee) I can imagine that playing it at that speed would leave you a little underleveled. Taking your time to explore stuff and find landmarks normally puts you at a reasonable level for boss fights. But if you're not finding it fun, I would recommend you stop. The game, while brilliant, is not for everyone. So I can understand where you're coming from.

Uhhh, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the first Mechon you fight, when Colony 9 gets attacked? Because I specifically remember the game actively telling you exactly how to beat it before that battle starts. If you're Shulk, use skills that inflict Break, if you're Reyn, wait until Shulk inflicts Break, then use Wild Down. Once it's toppled, hit it hard. May I ask what was tripping you up about it? Not trying to be insulting, by the way, just curious.

Should point out that he got this information from me. It was a New Game + run on the 3DS version with quite a lot of knowledge from previous playthroughs and a guide available so I knew where every quest was. I missed nothing. Every character was on Level 99, (You actually got 99 tokens for doing that in the 3DS version) finished rebuilding colony 6 and I got every skill tree. Honestly, except for the Skill trees, it's not really worth doing the rest. Those skill trees are totally brilliant though. If you decide to go through a new game +, @Fierce_LiNk, aim for those. I've got my money firmly set on "nope" for that. The American accents just won't be the same...

Multiple commentators are always better than one. If anything, that was only cemented when I took part in the 24 hour Kirby marathon. We were generally chatting about loads of stuff throughout. But as soon as @Dcubed had to leave and I was playing Mouse Attack by myself, it was very hard to keep talking. But once his sis woke up from her power nap, it went right back to natural conversation and laughing. We've also done Boom Street (That one is my favourite vid we've done so far) and almost half of Woolly World and it's surprisingly easy to have natural banter when there's someone else there with you.

Absolutely nothing. Two separate stories. Unless there's some spoileriffic twist or something that links the two... (Don't tell me if I'm right, please) You should still play the original, if you haven't. No, of course not, faster loading times though.

Wii version.

Those sales are astonishing! Japan are just eating this up!

Not gonna lie, I'm a bit miffed that they released Xenoblade so soon after the 3D one... Feels like a bit of an "F you", actually.

You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse And I'm done! On Friday, I finished Super Smash Bros. for WiiU completely. It's quite obvious that I really enjoyed this game, otherwise, I wouldn't have bothered. So I won't go on about what I like about the game. Instead, I'll point out a few things that I think would have made it even better. 1. Cutting Adventure mode (Subspace Emissary) really hurt the single player experience, it just doesn't hold up as well as Brawl's. With the 3DS version, it's understandable, but I wanted something like that for WiiU. 2. The stages are very hit and miss, there's some very great stages like GAMER, Orbital Gate Assault and Jungle Hijinxs, but there's an awful lot of stages that are very uninspired or just plain bad. In fact, here's a few... So much potential wasted! Mario Galaxy should have been fantastic, it's got slightly curved gravity, so some projectiles don't fly that straight. And there's definitely a bunch of things from the two Galaxy games to mess with players. But unfortunately, it's nothing more than Bridge Of Eldin with no bridge breaking, no King Bulbin and two platforms. In fact, the Sonic stage, which has the curved gravity as well, is a much better stage. Boring. (It has got some fantastic music choices though) Look, I think I can just about make out Pit there... My word, this stage is just bad. It's probably the worst Smash stage ever! It's so bad, it's the only stage I've ever turned off in Random Stage switch! It's got hazards, it's got breakable terrain, it's got cool platform layouts. But, it's just too big! It's so big, Ridley could fit in it! Even on 8-player Smash, it goes on far too long! Oh neat, they took Smashville from Brawl and made a more current version? Oh, if only... Now the stage itself is fine, what annoys me is that Smashville from Brawl is actually in the WiiU game anyway! WHY!? The 3DS version showed us that there can be a really cool Animal Crossing stage! And yet WiiU is stuck with 2 almost identical stages from the same series! In fact a lot of the stages in WiiU are just simply embarrassing compared to what the 3DS got.

Opinions and all, but you already know I love the gameplay of the series.
