  1. You know what? I might as well post the other alternatives as well. If you don't have Retro Off-Road, Off-Road has the same stats. If you don't have the Cloud Glider, the Parachute has the same stats.
  2. My general rule of thumb is go for the cover Pokemon you like better. So Solgaleo for me.
  3. Guess I misremembered about X/Y. Oh wait, the European release started this whole mess in the first place. You see, a lot of retailers (Italy being the most notorious) sold X/Y quite a while before the release date. Since then, Europe has been getting punished for it. It was quite a big thing. Guess it was their way of countering early release leakage.
  4. That's what they said about Sun and Moon... And OR/AS And X/Y I'll believe it when I see it.
  5. Yup. Will make up for us inevitably getting it a week later, I suppose. Personally, I'm not keen on the interiors for our solo game ones. OR/AS had much nicer ones. The Primal Groudon artwork is way better than US or UM too. Gorgeous
  6. Wait, you haven't tried Plague of Shadows? You should give it a go. It is the hardest of the three, but it feels so satisfying to master the hectic movement options Plague Knight uses. Story is awesome too. I preferred it to Spectre of Torment on that regard.
  7. All it's missing is the music, I miss the Wii/WiiU's shopping music. Switch's sounds so dead without it.
  8. If it makes it easier for you, I can send you a PM with this "x-y" format when each league night is posted? Not this week, mind. (Unless you decide to join in, let me know ASAP if you change your mind)
  9. Just to reiterate, the Sports Bike is an unlockable, even it's stat-identical alternative, the Jet Bike, is unavailable at the start. Make sure you have the Sports Bike (failing that, the Jet Bike) before tonight. Don't just assume you have them, go check now. You can unlock them by collecting coins. Don't panic if you don't have the wheels or glider though, just ask me and I'll tell you what the alternatives are. (Both are available from the get-go)
  10. The lack of variety between the Sword flailers was my biggest fear when this was announced, sucks to hear that they play very similar. Here's hoping future characters are less Link, more Agitha.
  11. I think I speak for all of us when I say we're all very disappointed in you.
  12. Another month, another set of videos from me. This Tournament was the Tiny Tourney, where only Pokemon shorter than 1 metre are allowed. Cool little ruleset. XDKW-WWWW-WWW7-NEVL So this battle was really close, definitely exciting and I manage to pull off a... Woah, hold up, that ain't me! That person has way too nice clothing options to be me! That's bloody @Ugh first aid! Making her online competition debut. Still, I've had more experience, so she's got a bit of practice ahead for her before she can be on my level. Huh? She finished almost twenty thousand places above me? Well, bugger it all then. She didn't even use a legendary Pokemon. Class! VUJW-WWWW-WWW7-NEUN Anyway, back to my far crappier team. The battle isn't really of note, but my opponent here has some serious style, that's for sure. No substance, but definitely style. Fun fact: Ugh first aid fought a completely different guy with the same team. YBYG-WWWW-WWW7-ZNDT Another fight from Ugh first aid. Against... Hang on, that guy looks strangely familiar... Well, this one is sure to be entertaining, seeing as it's a 6 on 6 fight. The next tournament is the "Weakness Cup" where only Pokemon that have 5 or more different weaknesses are allowed and the only items are Weakness Policy and Berries that halve supereffective damage. I love these weird rulesets, always interesting.
  13. Definitely agree there, that was a very powerful moment. Wind Waker also has the best Ganon/Ganondorf characterisation too.
  14. Personally, I think OoT did the whole "Bad things already went down thing" better. Sure, it's not as subdued as BOTW is, but you're still left without knowledge of where Zelda is after escaping with Impa, what happened to the Castle Town residents, etc. It definitely gave a bigger impression of "Oh, we done messed up, huh?" Outside of the memories and a couple of slightly more important characters (Impa, Purah and the Champions), no-one really tells you what actually happened. I only got the impression that the people living in Hyrule were coping quite well actually. Yeah, things could be better, but Hyrule wasn't exactly as ruined as you'd expect. Ganon seemed more like something that everyone just put up with rather than an all-powerful evil that should be feared.
  15. The backstory to what happened to Hyrule amounted to nothing of note though. I went into that final memory expecting something surprising, some kind of twist that changes some kind of perspective on the story. But no, they took a cool interpretation of Zelda and wasted it. And the stories of each village? "Oh no, the divine beast is causing havoc! Sort it out!" Proceeded by sorting it out and getting a hearty thank you and another weapon that is about as disposable as all the others. It never felt like I accomplished something from saving each village. The only one of note is Zora's domain where all the oldies hate Link, that was pretty neat. On the flipside, Rito Village could be completely absent and it would actually be more interesting. If Rito Village was in ruins because of the Divine Beast, it would have been more engaging, that's how inconsequential it all is. Kinda like Ikana Canyon in Majora's Mask. That place was awesome because of how grim it all was. Way more engaging and has better backstory than BOTW ever could manage.
  16. What pace? Decent opening followed by 100 hours of almost nothing capped by a "They lived happily ever after". Mario bloody Galaxy had more interesting plot than this! It's about as interesting as the Zelda 1 ending. And I am talking about the proper ending. It just felt like a big slap in the face. But I'm not going into all that again. I already wrote up a pretty long post about what I liked and disliked about the game in the Gaming Diary thread.
  17. Personally, using a mixture of both motion and stick is the way to go. Stick for big, wide movements and Motion for fine tuning. But then again, I hate Splatoon, so take or leave what I say.
  18. So I've just started Final Fantasy X HD Remaster (Never played any version of it before) and I know I usually wait until I'm finished to give my thoughts. I do have one very important question though. Why does Yuna talk like she is constantly drunk?
  19. Yup, completely. The only exception are the moderators. They see everything.
  20. Yo @Sheikah, you know you can use the "options", uhhh... option on your post to hide posts, right?
  21. To be quite frank, I think hoping for that was way too optimistic.
  22. Nope. Not that I'm aware of. I suppose you'll find it on the mobile app that's releasing in the future.
  23. Good, the ending is utter rubbish as is. Hopefully this alleviates it a bit.
  24. Patience, young Star Wars Character whose name I don't know because I'm not a huge fan of that series. That sounded snappier in my head...
