Not sure I should make a new thread for this and this seems the most appropriate place for it. Here's a BBC article looking at examples of parents getting blindsided by kids buying exploitative microstransactions. It's all too easy for less tech-savvy parents to fall victim to this. Tom Watson has stated that games that use these microstransactions are a "Gateway to Gambling" and I agree with him.

That's precisely what these kind of games aim for. Did you watch a recent Jimquisition where it somewhat focused on a presentation by a game developer into how to invest people into a free-to-play game? Honestly disturbing.

Sorry, I probably won't be able to. The Switch I play Rocket League on is being commandeered for other games tonight.
-
I'd be amazed if there wasn't a future opportunity to get it.

Splatoon theme get. Never actually got to top ten this time, but that's cool. I'll still probably use the Game Boy theme the most.

Any game/app that involved drawing (Especially the Art Academy series) was infinitely better on the XL screen. -

Nominations are now closed Our Wii Shortlist consists of 19 games. Voting must be done via Private Messages sent to me. This will help to prevent any possible tactical voting. You must choose 3 games and order them from your favourite to least favourite. It'd be great if you could explain why you chose a game in the PM. I can then use these in the article that will go up on the N-Europe front page. I will abstain from these votes and act as a tiebreaker. If two games tie, I'll decide which game comes out on top. Voting closes on the 20th of July -
BTW, the Splatoon event has started now.

It's the last time I put amiibo's on, that's for sure.
-
Star Fox! Fire at Time!
-
My Ryu play there was just embarrassing.
-
Your amiibo is a dirty little cheat! Starting off with an item and spirits!

Room's open again, sorry about that.

Room's open now. But I'm not. I'll join in once I can.

Nintendo Switch Lite announced - Releasing Sept. 20
Glen-i replied to Nicktendo's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I think they specify it as "No HD Rumble" so it's either a situation like you said or there'll be a basic rumble feature like you get with other consoles. But yeah, quite a few games will be problematic without rumble. That's probably why there's a Pokemon special edition of the Lite. It's one of the few first party titles that won't be compromised by the Lite's missing features. -

I haven't really been keeping up with this, but has anyone mentioned the fact that this Switch Lite wouldn't be able to natively support a Wired Ethernet connection? That's gonna impact games like Smash and Splatoon. -
Oh, right! Yeah, forgot to mention that. I'll open the room at 8pm, but I might not be able to jump in until 9-ish. This week, it'll be Time format.

It's the last day for nominations. -
How do you know it's an RPG?
-
You might have to rely on MKTV to get exact results. And I do need exact results when CPU's are around.

Oh boy, it's time for another episode of "Let's GO trading sucks!" Wonder how many attempts it'll take this time...
-
Yeah, won't be able to make it tonight, thought I would, but I was wrong. Have fun!

Funnily enough, on the SNES Mini, I used a combination of that and the save state feature to save my funniest moments on those games. And by funny, I mean me walking off a ledge in Super Castlevania IV because the stairs literally blended into the background! Oh, and how much Mystic Quest hates me.
