I'm like 2 plot dungeons off from the credits and I'm still on Normal Rank. Probably explains why I got bodied by a Teddiursa. Fury Swipes is terrifying in Mystery Dungeon.

OK, 7 hour night PMD binge done. As much as I'd love to carry on and hear more delicious remixes, I need sleep. You know how I said there were 6 more milestones than the original game? There's a new medley of music from Gates to Infinity that I stumbled across and the thing is almost 7 minutes long! This soundtrack is straight up impeccable.
-
Halfway to the credits now. It's a lot tougher than the original though. Really harsh, I love it! More importantly...
-
The way I got killed on Gerudo Valley was absolutely disgusting. Good times!
-
Room's open now.

That's a way better name. That? Not so much.

Managed to salvage that last GP on Cloudtop Cruise. Phew!

See, I like those soundtracks and I would've agreed that they were amongst the best back when Sun/Moon came out. But Sword/Shield are a step above in my opinion. That soundtrack is so experimental and it works so well. I didn't know I needed rave Gym Leader music in my life, but I did.

See, that got me curious, and I looked up Marowak's German name. That certainly is something. It's no Schiggy, but it's still amusing from an English viewpoint.
-
I'm pulling an all-nighter from midnight. Haven't been this hyped for a Switch game since Smash Ultimate! Probably shouldn't mention that I'm currently wearing a Marowak shirt as well...
-
I can imagine they're allowed because of the potential political backlash that would occur if they weren't allowed back. Not the best look to not let citizens back into their country.

People are stupid, selfish and tend not to think before they act if it seems like they'd benefit from it. It's the sad reality of the world.

N64 Mario Tennis still has the best model of Boo. It's face is HUGE! But Mario Power Tennis gave us the best voice for Boo. So I'm not sure which one is better...

I'll be keeping an eye on this, just in case the date agrees with me. But if I can make it, I'd be interested. I'm super cheap and poor though, so never expect me to buy anyone a round. You're just setting yourself up for disappointment.

@Dcubed would've done better if he didn't make himself small in the last GP like a fool! You don't get bonus points for doing that. Not in this league. @viceview51 isn't on this table because he didn't show for whatever reason, I'll overlook it this time, but try and get your games done early on in the month so you're not at risk of leaving someone hanging. Thanks to @Sméagol for standing in for him. He's informed me that he doesn't want to participate for the whole year, which is fine, so his score won't be counted. March Fixtures You have until the end of this month to get your games done and send the results of each race to me. Just to let you know, @RedShell, unless you can play with me before the main League tonight, I won't be playing anything other than Mystery Dungeon for the next week. So it's gonna have to wait. Mario Kart is important, but not that important!

Next League Night: Tonight 8pm Room 1: @BowserBasher is host @Glen-i @BowserBasher @S.C.G @martinist @RedShell @viceview51 We'll probably have to stick on CPU's tonight.
-
@Hero-of-Time I played Minit last year and all I have to say is. I agree with you on this game, which is remarkable enough and should be the only reason people should play it.
-
Seeing as the top screen in Blue Rescue Team is exclusively used for the map and team stats, it's one of those games that works really well with the Bottom Screen Focus layout.
-
Stamina matches tonight at 9/9:15 depending on how early MK League finishes.
-
Weird, just yesterday, I booted up my WiiU and started playing Super Mario 64, which is way better... than Odyssey. Before I knew it, I was at 104 stars.
-
Ewww, no. If anything, buy the DS one.

PMD game reviews badly with critics, also, Squirtle is wet. Not knowing enemy stats is such a weird criticism though, loads of RPG's do it. Anyway, this game tells you the enemy Pokémon type and what ability they have so you're not completely blind. Main Pokémon games only give you a vague HP bar to go off of, yet it doesn't get flak for that. Very strange. For me, the entire point is that you go into a new dungeon, scout it out and figure out which Pokémon are going to give you a hard time and prepare for it. The random chance recruiting has been a part of almost every PMD game, except Super. So it's not surprising it's in a remake of the original game, but there's ways to tip the odds in your favour. The higher your level, the more likely you'll recruit a Pokémon, there's also an equippable item that raises the chance. I wouldn't be surprised if there's one of those new rare qualities that also increases the chance.

I knew @Grazza would have more fun with the last two transformations. It's like getting the Space Jump and Screw Attack combo in a Metroid game and realising that there is so much that has opened up to you.
-
Yeah, it's kinda weird. But Kirby Star Allies brought back that particular copy ability and it's called "Cleaning" So it makes a lot more sense if you see it as not just a broom sweep and just a general ability revolving around cleaning stuff. That ability is way more fun in Star Allies, mind.

I think I can sum them up with the phrase. "GO AWAY! No-one likes you!" It wouldn't be so bad if the majority of them didn't lock the doors whenever they show up. Shortly after finishing Chrono Trigger, I rushed through Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. 102% in just under 3 hours. I've done better though, Rickety Race was a poor showing from me, which makes it typical that I got through hardest level Animal Antics on my first attempt. Game is still great, mind. But I've already gone into detail in a previous thread, so I won't go on about it. Just passing the time until PMD comes out on Friday.
