  1. Don't you have a competitive Corsola? I think that would do well. It definitely ain't getting one shotted. I'm sure a 4-man Level 100 team of smart type choices can get through it. Ironically, Dark types are going to shine. Well, unless the Mewtwo has a smart moveset and is packing Aura Sphere. In that case, Sableyes all round! I imagine you'll get the shirt shortly after the competition ends. Much like the BP prizes for the last two competitions.
  2. From now until the 1st of March, there will be Dynamax raids for Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Charmander, Charmeleon, Squirtle and Wartortle. As well as that, there's also a special Max Raid for Mewtwo, It's Level 100, so it's gonna be pretty tough. Before you get your knickers in a twist though, be aware that Mewtwo is impossible to catch. Instead, you'll get really valuable items for beating it, such as Ability Capsules, PP Ups and PP Maxes. I'm definitely farming that over the weekend. Still won't use legendary Pokémon though, I'm not lame. Today is also the last day to register for the February International Challenge Online Tournament. Even if you're not interested in competitive battling, I recommend entering anyway and completing one battle. That way, you'll get the Ball Guy Casual T-Shirt for doing so.
  3. New Spirit coming this weekend! Lotus from Warframe featuring in an event focusing on Spirits with a black motif. That's random as hell.
  4. There's basically 2 versions of older Kirby games. The frantic, fast-paced Kirby where copy abilities have multiple inputs for different moves that Sakurai popularised and the more slow-paced simple to grasp abilities that Shimomura favoured. The Shimomura games (Dream Land 2, 3 and Kirby 64) feature a Kirby that's so limited in movement options that it can be hard to go back to them after playing more modern games. Meanwhile, Kirby Super Star is a lot easier to jump into thanks to the freedom to pull off some high-level skills.
  5. Trust me, Animal Crossing is a different kind of beast for completionists. You'll appreciate the help very quickly. For reference, the fastest speedrun for 100% on the original Animal Crossing is just under 20 hours. And that allows cheating with stuff like Time Travelling. And that also has far less stuff to collect than any other AC game. Animal Crossing: New Leaf doesn't even have records for 100% runs because no-one in their right mind would ever attempt it.
  6. I can't help but feel that the Fodlan Winds remix on that would've fit Smash better than the straight rip it did get.
  7. I wouldn't go that far, I'm not completely steamrolled by Eiscue anymore, but if I don't keep certain Pokémon back for it, I'm in serious trouble. There's a chance of getting another Leftovers in Berry trees in the wild area. Go around, shake them once a day and you might find one if you're lucky. As for the Rocky Helmet, there's only one, so you're out of luck there. There's only one Shell Bell too, but I find that item isn't consistent enough to use. Tanky Pokémon that appreciate the healing generally can't do enough damage to make it worthwhile.
  8. Wasn't as embarrassing as me using Earth Power on your Rotom in the first battle. Completely stupid beginner mistake.
  9. I mean, there are so many possibilities in Pokémon, that you can't avoid a blind spot, it's all about predicting what is the biggest threat and shutting it down before it can do too much damage. @RedShell taught me that Eiscue was a big one for me, so I tweaked my team to better handle them. 4 of us should get a Multi Battle going some time. My Hydreigon is going to need some counciling after all those Focus Blasts to the face.
  10. Well earned win there, @Ike. Your Alcremie was a proper rock repellant. Had a feeling you could pull it off with the right foresight. That's the risk I knew I'd be taking. Powerful attack, but it can let me down. Only have myself to blame for that. In hindsight, I should've have went for Stomping Tantrum after the first miss, but I was too busy chasing that Critical chance. Lesson learnt.
  11. OK, @Ike, no Dynamax this time.
  12. Your smiley suggested you weren't serious! Now I feel bad.
  13. Oh, and use Dynamax if you want, @Ike
  14. Nope, rematch, not fair for me to win that with 2 more Pokémon then you.
  15. Righto, I'll open a Doubles room with the code 8274. Oh, and heads up, I'll be using all 6 Pokemon.
  16. It is? ...OH MY GOD, AM I NORWEGIAN!?
  17. Sorry, just saw. Is 9:30 good for you?
  18. Did you just Google the year 1514 and just used what came up?
  19. No problem, always next week.
  20. Maybe it's an in-game reference? No idea...
  21. Interesting.
  22. @S.C.G nominated @viceview51 for the Loser's Gambit and pulled it off in the first GP, so he gets a bonus 6 points in that GP. Next League Night: 27th Feburary 8pm Room 1: @BowserBasher is host @Glen-i @BowserBasher @viceview51 @martinist @RedShell @drahkon @S.C.G Sign up Now!
  23. If you go to that restaurant in the town that has the water Gym, there's a side quest with the guy behind the counter that ends with him giving you the Lucky Egg. That should speed things up, unless you already did that. Around Level 60 though, you might be better off using candy from Max Raids instead.
  24. Ah, you did it for funsies. Fair enough. Well, seeing as Swift Swim favours attackers, you'd most likely get the most out of it by maxing out Attack or Sp. Atk. You'd also have to decide whether to make it more speedy or more tanky. Assault Vest is a great item for an Offensive Seismitoad thanks to access to Drain Punch and Scald. And even though you don't have Water Absorb, your opponent will probably think you do, making them think twice about going for an obvious water attack. Mind games are fun!
