  1. Turns out "soon" is tomorrow.
  2. I've mentioned more then a few times how Child of Light is the best thing Ubisoft have released in a very long time. Absolutely criminal that it's likely never getting a sequel. (No, Bloodstained doesn't count) I've managed the whole game without getting a single party member! Fun little challenge.
  3. I thought I'd never see my Generations Ultimate Flinchy Sword ever again! Not quite as broken as Chaos Oil, but the most important part is there! And I don't even have to give up the Shoryuken counter? Even better! Flinches and stuns for days!
  4. Huh... Well, isn't that interesting? So, maybe not so mad. You hear that, @bob? Turns out you and I aren't so special, after all.
  5. Oh yeah, I'm certain the odds were rubbish. But it's the first time I've ever looked at a bet and thought "Yep, that's easy money". Not a lot, but definitely easy. And I'm the kind of guy who hates the myriad of gambling problems people face these days.
  6. Starting to think I really should've put money on Ukraine. It was such a sure thing. You'd be mad to bet on anyone else. Legit amazed UK were winning before the public vote, part of the "It's definitely politically driven" part of me is thinking that they only scored UK so well because they knew Ukraine would romp home from the public.
  7. To be fair, your results were mostly second places, not too shabby, all in all. Funniest random choice was defo Sora Vs Sephiroth tonight. @Ike must have channeled the bonkers difficulty from the Kingdom Hearts fight. That's my excuse.
  8. Room's open now. I'll be spectating for the first 20 minutes or so.
  9. Well duh, don't wanna distract from my birthday, do we? It's kinda mad that out of the small active member base here, 2 of them actually share the same birthday! Remember, @bob I'm always precisely three years younger then you.
  10. A few moments from my point of view.
  11. Stock matches tonight at 8pm.
  12. The funny coincidence is that Kirby 64, along with Forgotten Land, are two of the very few Kirby games where Kirby can't float forever.
  13. This isn't true, plenty of Pokémon interactions happen if you experiment or actually finish the damn game. Wailmers are proper jerks. There's also a score attack mode after you see the credits, just like the original. There's a whole online leaderboard for that.
  14. Fair point, I'm so used to these Ninty Warriors entries having some kind of original character from Koei Tecmo, that when I saw the new dude, I thought "there it is, like clockwork"
  15. If they include all the students as playable characters at least, I'm starting to get concerned that there won't be enough classes to distribute amongst them. Meaning you'll have to have multiple characters with the same class, and therefore, same moveset. 8 characters in each house, plus Koei Tecmo's new OC, plus Byleth (come on, she's gonna turn good again, it's hardly a spoiler). That's 26. 5 more then Age of Calamity at launch. (18 characters, 3 alternate movesets for Link and Zelda) It's not out of the realm of possibility, so I hope I'm just being paranoid. If there are enough classes so that you can make every character a unique class, then this will be loads of fun!
  16. While I do kinda agree with this sentiment, I'm afraid it might be a catch-22 situation. A shorter affair would just invite complaints. Longer play times, while not necessarily being for the best, is what people want. Can't agree with your last point though. That's defo you being an old fuddy duddy. It's nice seeing a wide variety of Pokémon interact and act like animals. Especially Kecleon. Outside of the anime, I've seen Kecleon's camouflage accurately depicted twice, and one of those times were in this game. Even funnier when you clock it over the head with an apple and watch it panic.
  17. See? I thought it was a cool idea, until I realised two things. 1. They don't do any meaningful missions beyond "Boot up game" for the NSO library. It would've been fun if they did a few more alongside it. For example, as well as "Boot up Super Mario Bros" they could've also done something like "Complete World 2-4" Not sure how feasible that would be though, but it would encourage people to actually play those games. 2. None of the backgrounds or frames can be used for Mii icons. If I can't use my "French girls" Mii pose, why even bother? That said, I did actually redeem some Animal Crossing icons this week. My Animal Crossing town has all the Gators, might as well get the corresponding icons as well.
  18. Meanwhile, I don't buy this. Why even negotiate with Microsoft if you're not even gonna bother with getting at least both Banjo games? I say that directed to you as if I haven't made that point to your face already. Just getting my opinion there.
  19. Now that... that is something I can get behind. I don't even like Mario Strikers that much, but the Wii one is easily the best football game I've played.
  20. The entirety of my knowledge boils down to "Spider Man exists" and what I learned from playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. Marvel Fan, I am not.
  21. Have you ever played Mario Strikers? Normal football would be boring with that setup.
  22. @Ike, you coming back?
  23. I'd probably buy that if Pro Controllers weren't so massively overpriced. Makes me appreciate that good-as-new 30 quid one I got a few years back.
  24. Woah, hold up! Are you two trying to say that before this show was a thing, there was a time where I actually knew about a Marvel character more then actual Marvel fans!? That's just all sorts of wrong! Glad that's not the case anymore!
  25. Home update for this and BD/SP is coming "soon" Here's a diagram that the Pokémon account posted. Yes, despite Legends having a different stat calculation method to mainline games, it'll be a two way trip, meaning that you're free to transfer Pokémon back and forth between Home and Legends (if the Pokémon exists in that game, don't get too excited). Wonder how they pulled that off? Seeing as Let's Go didn't. Depositing a Pokémon from BD/SP will get you a gift of all three Sinnoh starters with their Hidden Abilities, while depositing one from Legends will get you those corresponding starters with the effort levels maxed out. Guess I'll finally have to bite the bullet and catch the legendaries exclusive to Legends. Massive groan! EDIT: Details about how various things work, courtesy of @Serebii. EDIT PART TWO: Oh god, I'm gonna have to bother completing the Dex entries. Home keeps track of whether you complete the research. There goes my plan of bypassing it with Home for technical Pokedex completion...
