Cheers! Is it dubbed on Netflix then or something? I'll change it to the native language and subtitle it. I can't imagine watching a show like Les Revenants with English voices, for example.

It's available subbed and dubbed, I'd recommend the former.

I tried to get into Dark but I wasn't hooked very quickly and gave up. I'll give it another go at some point...

    What? again?

Yes, it only has a second release on a dead handheld, not nearly enough people got to experience the extra content and it could do with a visual upgrade. I think the game made a name for itself with P4G that would've gained it sales if it was out on a current console.

  3. I'm almost positive merging the two would alienate a lot of the Nintendo board-only visitors. This isn't a gaming discussion board, it's a Nintendo discussion board with an extra board created to discuss non-Nintendo games. As far as I'm concerned, that might as well be a board about Football or tumble driers, it doesn't belong mixed in with the Nintendo threads.

To be really frank, discussion has dropped for two reasons: one, people prefer social media to forums and two, we put out about 5% of the news we used to, which drove newcomers in from search engines. Merging boards to bolster discussion is just a patch-job that could make things better or worse temporarily but either way wouldn't solve any problems.

  4. Spent hours yesterday playing Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes from the Oculus store. Brilliant game. If anyone wants a quick fun co-op game, give this a look. One person wears the headset and has to defuse a bomb, and the other uses the computer to read the manual and talk the player through it. (You can also print the manual or read it on another device etc)

  5. D2 is a massive failure for me and many others. I spent thousands of hours on D1 but they really messed up D2. The initial run through the main story is great, and the raid was pretty fun, but beyond that the endgame is trash. The PvP is terrible and limited, hell you can't even pick which mode you want to play. They don't make you chase anything worth having in the end game except cosmetics, in an effort to push microtransactions/loot boxes. All the exotics are crap. Snipers are crap. Almost every primary is crap. They're also back to their cycle of communicating, promising more communication, then going dark for months.

And the new DLC looks crazy lacking too. No new raid, no pre-DLC content. I regret buying the special edition with the season pass because if I hadn't, I don't think I would've wanted to give them any more money at this point.

  6. Yeah it’s a trend that has existed in these animes for years. It killed of Naruto in the West and killed off Bleach completely. They just can’t seem to see the bigger picture. Instead of pumping something out every week, whether it’s terrible filler, shockingly animated or padded out to ruin the pacing, they should just stop making it for months until they have enough quality content.

Hope there’s a “Naruto Kai” one day!

Anyone got Divinity Original Sin 2? The game I most want to play. Shame I have a mac

Still working my way slowly with my SO through the first one on PS4, then I'm going to drag the PC down to the TV to play the second!

Traded this in... didn’t ever end up drawing me into it... ::shrug:

I left it whilst I was in Kaer Mohren, needed to get stuff for Yen and just couldn’t be arsed anymore.

I reckon if I’d played the previous games I’d have enjoyed it as I’d have been invested in the story - a shame really.

I actually stopped in the same place. And I did play previous games. I think I'll go back and give it another try at some point, but the problem really is the sheer scale, I just don't have time for it all.

  9. Although my interest waned and I grew cynical post-completion, it's definitely Breath of the Wild purely for that first impression, for the engine and interaction, and the huge leap in the right direction. Might not be the best Zelda game or the most accomplished game of the year but it's put the series right back on track in my eyes.

Overwatch is my ongoing game of the year.

Destiny 2 is my disappointment of the decade.

  10. Well I loved the first Darksiders, like Zelda for the Xbox 360, so I'm looking forward to playing the second. But yeah, I know I'm sounding like a broken record but PS+ games were never going to be what they once were. I'd rather they lowered the price and dropped the free games.

I think the majority of games can just use the DS4 if you want to. The only ones I’ve come across so far that asked for the move controllers were the Spider-Man Homecoming experience and Rec Room.

I just have to chime in to say that Spider-Man Homecoming experience was the shittiest thing I have done on VR so far.

  12. Yeah One Piece anime has always been slow but for me it's too much now. I actually gave up on it last time I decided to catch up, which I would never do before.Every episode you have to skip 10 minutes of recap and opening, then what you do get repeats itself, then drags, constantly switches between scenes, you only get about 30 seconds of progression on the main story.

If any series could do with some kind of supercut of each season, it's One Piece.

I mean I could do, but I cannot install dimmer switches in a rental property. A lamp, yes, but that's also the same as what it literally posted - smart arse :p

Haha I wasn't trying to be awkward. The Lumie is an alarm that wakes you up with automatic light and its like... £60-200 depending on the model. If your only issue is being woken when a bright light turns on I figured there's simpler options ;)

  14. I really enjoy it, but I must admit my interest waned somewhat after not very long. There's a few top tier titles but the more I play it, the more I struggle to suspend my disbelief and the "screen door" effect becomes more apparent, physically and mentally*. PSVR is dropping in price and part of me wishes I'd got one of those instead, because software support is key to getting the ball to keep rolling.

Also agree with Grazza above. The tech is great but it needs to be even better. I'm playing it at about as high quality as is currently possible, and it could still be bigger and better. FoV could be wider, wireless and less bulky options in the future will also make it a much better experience.

    * Secret pro tip, the immersion can return/fun can increase after a beer or two

This game constantly reminds me of what BotW is missing: A living world. A world that is inhabited by people, creatures and stories.

BotW was a flying leap and bound in the right direction compared to its closest predecessors. I still argue they ran out of time and had to leave the place extremely sparse, but it did have some on the road encounters, a scattering of NPC hubs, and more than one town which is a huge improvement for the series. Going back further, I was extremely disappointed with SS and TP's overworlds because the worlds still felt like abstract platformer worlds, with bottomless pits and tree-walls and zero life beyond a single central village/castle square, not even so much as a postman in a bunny mask. It's what makes me really desperately hope Nintendo will do the only sane thing and build a sequel on the BotW engine immediately, with a focus on density and depth of interaction/life.
