Looking forward to God of War III remaster. I never finished the original and don't fancy plugging in my PS3 to do so also I didn't even know there was a remaster.

Spambotting, you're doing it wrong.

Yeah it's always been a bit of a mess, not sure what they were thinking with that old search function. Hope it gets much faster too!

I love Brooklyn Nine-Nine, so glad it got a second chance after nearly getting canned. Hope they go out with a bang.

I love Skyrim on Oculus, no idea how it is on PSVR because I use a lot of mods and ini tweaks to improve the experience and visuals. I use the control stick to move around which takes a little getting used to but if nobody's looking you can always walk on the spot and it helps

I saw a review that says that textured surface eventually gets mucky from dirt/sweat on your hands...

Worth noting you seemingly don't get the steelbook but that's a plus for me

Yeah thats me haha

Hm, appreciated but I'm getting " This code can't be applied to your order. " Edit: managed it with guest checkout in incognito window

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
Shorty replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Of course not (the condescending tone wasn't necessary...) but there are repeatedly areas that seem that they were designed to lead somewhere, you find a path, it goes over a hill, leads to a climb, you run over to some trees, you fight some enemies and think you're about to find a puzzle, NPC, or even a settlement but instead you're greeted with a wall or something, so you climb the nearest mountain or turn around and carry on. It's fine because it doesn't break the flow of exploration, but it would've been even more exciting to me if just a little more frequently you bumped into a little bit of variety beyond the quickly established checklist of encounters. -
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

Really?? I loved BotW and Hyrule is immense and brilliant. But... it's also hugely empty and devoid of life in a hundred locations. In part this is by design, the centre of the map has been ruined by Ganon and its inhabitants scattered. This could be, in fiction, rebuilt to a bustling and habitable world. But in part it's presumably due to time limitations, there are long valleys and mountain climbs and waterfalls that seem that they're leading you somewhere but then just... end at a Lynel fight, or a Korok, or sometimes just nothingness. To me right from the moment I'd found the last town in Hyrule, I thought this location was dying to be revisited and revamped to reach it's full potential. The story has primed it, and from a technical perspective it's the perfect canvas to begin perfecting. I loved slogging through the forest and over mountains and making my way up to Zora's domain, however most of these key locations feel densely packed but sparsely positioned. Of course that's not to say you couldn't also at the very least take the engine and array of templates and create a new world and still come back sufficiently bigger and better. But... this is just where my head's been since I played it. (Back to Termina tho, now that's an idea I can get behind ) -
I didn't watch much of that but I read some comments that there's not a lot of momentum in the webswinging? I'm starting to get cold feet on this pre-order, what with that pricetag...

Well I for one liked it, and I'm glad there'll be more. The plot was definitely lop-sided, too much time focusing on training and like you said, barely any fighting. However, this would basically be solved by a sequel, which would have less setup. I think the characters were great, there was more depth to all of them than they ever got in years of Childrens television. I liked the alien costumes too, thought they made a lot of sense in the universe, but there's room to change those too I didn't like the Zord designs much though.

It really is a bit pricey isn't it... With Shadow of the Tomb Raider also being £45 it's a potentially expensive month....

Dead Cells is absolutely awesome. Very addictive, "one more try" kinda game.

Pretty annoyed that the physical release of this costs £10 more on Switch! Switch is ideal for it but I'd need a fourth controller to get the most out of it. I really want this, in theory it's so perfect for the platform, would go down well with my g/f's family on trips etc., but right now price - including at the most another controller and at the least one of those USB adapters - is holding me back.
-
I did one of those a couple of months ago that was Wizard themed (was with my g/f's younger siblings). It was great! And yeah we didn't fly through it but we did beat it in good time. Off to a board game cafe with some mates tonight, should be great

Better Call Saul is back next month. August's offering looks pretty decent http://www.denofgeek.com/uk/movies/netflix/36720/new-on-netflix-uk-whats-added-in-august-2018

A belated happy b-day Poké-man

Yeah I went to backup and the funny thing was, I realised I don't really have a lot of important data these days not on my OS drive anyway. 18 year old me would've been having a heart attack at all the work, music, writing, designs etc that could've been lost. But now it's like "eh, all my sites are on git, all my game saves are in the cloud" etc

So some total BS setting it up When I had it open to put the fan in, I also added in a USB PCI card. Two things came from this, one I realised that shitty fan can't do anything flashy with LEDs without an extra, £30 part (wtf corsair, and partly I'm obviously to blame for not researching properly). But much worse, when I started my PC back up, my SSD wasn't recognised. After checking and rechecking everything I gave up to the point I had filled out the warranty form for the SSD. Then, when going to boot ubuntu to see if anything could be salvaged off the disk, the SSD appeared again as a boot option and all was OK again two hours later mind you. On top of all that... the USB card doesn't work. The £5 strip of LEDs on the back of the TV went fine though

Dude! Get 999 at least, what a game, nobody should miss it.

Decided to move my main PC into my front room and make more of a show of it, then move my Oculus down there too gonna be much more room for VR and easier to shuffle everything out of the way.

He's probably going to still be a jerk. Look at him, he's got anime jerk eyes.

The new anime and manga thread! [Use Spoiler Tags!]

It's ongoing but it has a little bit of self-respect so unlike Naruto etc, it takes breaks between seasons when there isn't any content instead of descending into filler hell So there's only 53 or so episodes at the moment and when it finishes the current run it will take another break. It's very good, I think you'll like it off the back of something like Naruto.
