Yeah well impressed by the quality of gameplay so far, played Beyond: Two Souls which I missed last generation. Ran so smoothly, really felt like I was just playing the game natively. I did have the audio stream mess up once but a restart fixed it. I have 100MB fibre so can't fault latency so far. The selection would need to be a fair bit better for me to spend much on the final product.

Only just seen the notification, sorry. I can do today or Monday.

I miss the height of XBLA days, when everything had a demo and games like this were never more than a tenner...

I'm really glad I bought thumbstick protectors for the PS4 pad, I think with those, they're probably my favourite pad in terms of comfort. I think they're let down a bit by a poor battery life though.

I'm asking for spoiler tags not to avoiding talking about it at all! They're not difficult to use. Kind of harsh to accuse me of quashing discussion, I didn't make you stop spoiling things, heck I didn't even ask you to, I put one line voicing my irritation which blew up into this. The rest was a rant about how crap the episode was.

^ lol, spoiler comedian. Aeris dies, extremely well known situation is completely identical to this LOLOLOL. Why should I chill out? Something bothered me, I have a right to be bothered. I've said it a million times, some people get a vast majority of enjoyment from a series when as much of it as possible is new to them.

Well, thanks for the spoilers there regarding Cisco. Cheers. Appreciated. Not all of us read the Flash comics and want to know things ahead of time just because you do. The episode was fucking terrible and anyone who thinks otherwise is far too forgiving. Literally every 2 seconds something was shit. The CG of the bees looked terrible, both up close and in their super low resolution swarm form. The story was basically ripped from a Smallville season 2 episode like 15 years ago or whenever that was and it was just as crap then. There was no logic to Barry not being able to outrun bees. Since when does Barry need telling how to get out of a building that he literally just ran in? The acting was just awful all the way through, as was the direction. Example, go back and watch Caitlin performing CPR. a) why does she go straight to CPR without checking his breathing? b) no shots of her face, visual distress? c) is she actually even trying to save him or not? She barely even presses down. Why are we returning to the same old trope of "x can't know my secret, it's too dangerous"? That's fine, unless everybody else fucking knows your secret. And how hard would it really be for Eddie to hide the fact that he has a secret? And what sort of solution to relationship tensions is a double-date-plus-fifth-wheel scenario? Who would even agree to that? And "passive aggressive" (in quotes because that's what they were aiming for, but missed) banter over the table in the restaurant, who does that?? The writing, Jesus, "mama's been away from a keyboard too long", "she's like my nemesis - I've never had a nemesis", "bug-eyed bandit" (in sync - yeah, right), "drop the mic!", really?? Drop the god damn mic. She could've at least pushed that little computer mic over, then it might've been funny. In fact almost every line given to Felicity was awful. We get it, she's a computer geek, she can be a normal human being, too. And it's not just because Daredevil raised the bar so high Flash can't even fucking see it. It was way, way shit by its own standards. I am severe disappoint.

Jeez the latest Ep was just... abysmal. The writing, acting, cg, direction... everything about it sucked so much.

One of the shit TDB exotics just got less shit Also, a big new feature from 1.1.2, weapons get XP from mission rewards! That's pretty sweet, should level weapons a bit quicker now. And Xur should always have heavy ammo now.

Went out and did a CBT course today on a 125. Time to start something new!

Daredevil was so damn good. Really raised the bar for what a superhero TV show can be. It doesn't have to be corny and silly, or laced with soap opera romance and beautiful people. Funnily enough I did also notice a lot of corny sound effects but it didn't detract from an amazing series. In a way it's kind of a shame they just released it all at once, I binged through it as most people will, which just makes it a bit more difficult to talk about. There's a reduction in the suspense (however that aspect was, overall, amazing - being quite a brutal show with characters that you get to care about makes that possible), they end an episode on a cliffhanger from time to time but it's ultimately pointless as you can just click "next". I know this format isn't new to Netflix Originals but I don't think I'm a fan. Anyway, irrelevant, still amazing show. Wish we were getting a Season 2 right away.

Having had both for a while I can honestly say, Fatebringer is far superior anyway :p

Have we played different games? I feel Destiny's the opposite of a horde mode game and has cried out for such a mode for ages. Every level, every PvE map you can visit spawns the same enemies in the same rooms every single time you play it. If anything it is a linear story mode game with co-op, only the rewards are random. It's been desperate for a mode which is different every time you play, taking ideas from the endgame of other titles like Diablo.

No raid is bad but an endgame focused on variety and replayability, that's pretty much what the game has been desperately needing for a long time. I'm optimistic, for some reason.

Bit daft to release on the same day as Witcher 3 I think, but I've got a season pass so who cares! Hope they've fleshed things out a bit more. I get the feeling that they're going to consider themselves having made up for their past transgressions by avoiding making exotics/legendaries obsolete, but that's not all we were unhappy with in The Dark Below....
