Well, lucky you for being in a forum that has a clan of flawless raiders then Personally I think there'll be a lot of call for stealthy hunters too, especially defusing something in the open (depending how long that takes)

PoE sounds both good and bad. I really think it will be victim to what I still believe is one of the game's biggest flaws, which is that you can't really survive in the open. (Quoting this AMA, lots of info in there) Imagine arc burn Nightfall but +1 level and you can't take cover.... Edit: There's a pretty big spoiler in there about the strike, skip past anything mentioning the strike if you don't want to know.

After reading comments about that twitch streamer, I can't bring myself to watch it. Sounds like they made a right mess of the reveal. Mode still sounds interesting though, I'll just wait and try it out myself soon! In other news:

I think you should keep N-E at the centre of it. Not just saying that, but if you branch it out... split it up... well, I dunno, just seems like you're going to saturate the experience a little. You might end up with lots of tiny events and nothing big, which will could get less donor interest overall. Instead maybe it just needs more of a push, directly suggest it to lots of people. Get something on the main site, I could put something at the top of the forum. I realise that even though this is a cool idea, I never really ventured into these threads, something about it just didn't feel overly inclusive. That was obviously a mistake, but could still be a problem with others. If not already obvious, I'd like to join in this year. If I'm still living in the same place come November, I offer up my place to use. If not, I'll travel to wherever.

The forum or the main site? The forum runs pretty quick for me, but I have been seeing some issues with slow down on the main site lately.

There's really no point judging the pre-alpha footage at all, that won't even be a map in the game, it's nothing more than concepts and engine testing.

That's the idea of the system, yeah Since the price drop it's been £35 a couple of places, but I've yet to see £30.

I'd rather they didn't bother adding little novelties for each arbitrary value, just spend more time, more effort on a great game! BK was more, much more, than a collect-fest platformer, it was funny, brilliantly designed, had a fantastic atmosphere and a tonne of variety. It had a lot of heart. They really have to nail this, not just create a platformer and have it succeed on the name alone or the fact that it's attempting to revive a genre.

Im warning you lot now, this thread is not to turn into a "was SM3DW a proper 3D platformer" thread!

Yeah definitely, and I offer up my house too, if that helps (Sheffield). Multiple rooms, spare beds, sofas etc. (assuming I'm still living here then, I might not be).

Damn, they're nearly at £1mil already... Glad to see that means they'll have character designs from Kev Bayliss and Ed Bryan. Yooka and Laylee are looking great but in a way, kinda bland too. Yooka, at least. Just reminds me of Gex or Croc or something like that.
