Perhaps MGS5 will be Big Boss orientated. Perhaps Raiden or Grey Fox's story? The fact that MGS has such amazing loveable characters means they could totally make other games without Snake as the protagonist and they'd be worth playing. Personally I'm so relieved he's making more MGS games, it seems he can't run out of good ideas for the stories and the play mechanics just keep getting better and better.

That's very expensive for flights to Tokyo. Leaving from London right? Mine were £600 with British Airways. You should be able to find them for around £450 if you shop around too.

I remember enjoying San Andreas more than this. This game is great, but I think it being so overhyped ruined it for me. My expectations were too high. Great game, 9/10

And probably drop in price after a week because only people on this forum are crazy enough to buy it. We crazy few. We crazy crazy few. I'm going for the limited edition because I'm a sucker for anything MGS. I really shouldn't be though. You'll have to decide if you think it's worth it youself coolfunkman. But perhaps consider getting MGS4 standard edition and another game with the extra £40, especially considering that you just bought a PS3 and once you complete MGS you don't want it to be collecting dust. Edit: Special features? You mean just the extra stuff you get with the game or will the actual game be different? Oh and perhaps if you're not entirely sure (but you seem to be now...) consider putting in pre-orders for both versions and canceling the one you don't want before it's sent.

True in my house. Hardcore gamer with a girlfriend who loves non games (though she has been known to play through Metal Gear ) She bought Wii Fit and Brain Training (granted it's on DS, but still) for herself. I don't really buy non-games.

This evening I cooked for myself - Brown spahetti with fried vegetables (aubagine, tomato, red onion, spring onion, leek, garlic, and courgette) with loads of oregano, various other herbs, tiny bit of salt and pepper, and a whallop of fresh pesto. So so so yummy. I have to eat fresh pesto because regular pesto isn't vegetarian. I love to cook Japanese food.

Well my girlfriend's addicted! For what it is, Wii Fit is really great. It really works. I don't think there are enough options, but it's great for what it is.

Either that or they've lost it! Let's hope you're right. Edit: Oh and my Dualshock 3 arrived today. Apart from the weight, and of course, the rumble, I really don't think it's any different to the Sixaxis. Worth paying £4 extra to get it in white? Probably

Main story or VR missons? The VR missons made it worth buying this game again. I hope they re-release MGS4 in a similar way.

It seems way more people on this forum are going for the limited edition rather than the standard. I'm surprised considering the price tag.

Yeah, well I wouldn't let it sway your decision too much. I haven't bought any second hand games so far (only have 4!). Also with the sales numbers of both consoles becoming almost even (right?) the PS3 should have more bargain bin games sometime soon. Yeah, and the Wii is the worst console

Oh so it is, however- http://www.play.com/Games/PlayStation3/4-/1022791/Haze/Product.html I saw that and assumed it was out now. If anyone wants their copy of Haze early it may be worth a try... I'm going to wait for some reviews before I consider this game.

I had the same dilemma and chose the PS3. I'll regret doing so if Metal Gear 4 doesn't live up to the hype, I'll be pleased I did so if it does! anyway, check out this thread - http://www.n-europe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18577 - The info on there is a little dated, but it's worth reading through. I quite like the sixaxis... 360 pad is better though. One thing I'd definately consider is that if you're a PC gamer, then a few of the 360 exclusives (Bioshock, Halo, Mass Effect) will come to the PC some time soon. Oh and PS3 is no where near as good for picking up cheap second hand games.

I'm not too sure about the iPod. I'm not going to watch any more trailers from now on. That theatrical trailer was kinda a spoiler (in that I now know Snake goes to somewhere in Europe). It's set in 2014 though? Shadow Moses was only 2007ish right? So when does the big shell happen? 2009ish? So that gives us only 6 years for the entire world to go topsy turvey? Edit: I'm being very petty. Nice that they held it in Roppongi, that's just over the road from the big Konami tower thingy.

Well I suppose if you're not a fan of the long cut scenes/story (I am ), and not too bothered into stealth action games (I am ), then it won't be for you. From what I've seen it all looks too good to be true! I am very worried though, I'm struggling to belive anything could live up to the previous games.

All you guys it took 10odd minutes for, do you have wired or wireless connections? Also is your internet super duper speedy or anything? My downloads from the PS Store take around half an hour to an hour using wireless. I heard the wireless is slow though. I have virgin broadband, which is came with a standardish package. Not sure speed it is though. Also it runs smoothly whilst playing online so I don't mind too much if there is a particular problem with my PS3.
