  1. I admit it, I'm stuck in the stone age. I don't have a digital camera, this means I don't have an SD card either. Can anyone recommend a perticular SD card to get when Wii launches? What size would people recommend? Also, I don't suppose anyone knows if you can save Wii games onto the Cube memory cards? I suspect that you can't... Thanks!
  2. For anyone who hasn't preordered, I just ordered with Gamestation: http://www.gamestation.co.uk/product.asp?id=wiih001
  3. I was late with my preordering, but yesterday Gamestation said they could deffinately get me one for the 18th December. I've put down twenty squid with them, so they'd better be telling the truth. So, get yourself to Gamestation! It's a shame I won't be getting a Wii untill 10 days after launch though...
  4. haha I wasn't being serious . But, seriously now, doesn't Norway have an amazing social security scheme? Bit off topic I know...
  5. I haven't pre-ordered. Am I doomed? Where should I preorder if I want one in time for Christmas? I swear I remember hearing they'd have loads of stock... Hmmf.
  6. Yeah but your roads have less potholes in them. LOL
  7. Hey! Could anyone tell me how I could play my Gamecube/PS2 on my laptop screen? Would I need a different cable for each one? Any recommended hardware? Thanks!
  8. Erm, sorry, what's a Mii? I think I've missed something here...
  9. It says on the IGN site, below the images that the images came out yesterday (8th September). So they probably are Wii images. I'm very impressed... not that graphics matter
  10. What's wrong with Amazon? I've never pre-ordered a console from them before, but I was planning on doing so with the Wii. Should I not?
  11. Is it possible that this is a DS game? The graphics do resemble a standard DS game.
  12. If it's fake then someone had a LOT of time on their hands. If it's not fake, there are one hell of a lot of 3rd party games coming to the Virtual Console
  13. I'd love to see a Donkey Konga game that uses 1/2 wiimotes to simulate many various instruments. Either that or just Wii Music in its original form.
  14. Erm... shit.
  15. Diet coke also only had two calories in it. I've probably used up two calories typing this.
  16. I agree to an extent. The, perhaps gimicky, perhaps novelty nature of the controller could make the Wii simply a 5 minute wonder. The conventional games consoles are a tried and tested, sucessful formula. However I reckon the Wii will pull through Oh and on another note, what's with this? :horse:
  17. My neighbour has two snakes and they are super kawaaii! Solid Snake also rocks my proverbial socks.
  18. Quite how anyone could just dismiss the bass is quite beyond me. Of course, not having a bass can work to stylize the music. Similarly, could you imagine Bob Dylan with drums? (Yes yes, I know, Like a Rolling Stone... but, his more folky stuff...) Oh and nice one mergeing the threads
  19. What is it? You're not selling it because the strings are too sharp are you? In that case you could just buy different strings! And I play Indie and folk mainly, but there's no style I wouldn't play.
  20. After seeing quite a response to Dabookerman's guitar problem, I assume we must have a lot of guitar players here. So, here's your chance to show off your guitar and 'ohh' and 'arr' at other peoples'. Here's my latest guitar: It's a 'Simon and Patrick SP6'. Cedar top + Electro Acoustic. Oh, oh it sounds so pretty! It plays like a dream too. And in comparison to the guitars at a similar price range, it felt like it had the best build quality. You may not have heard of them, but I very much recommend Simon and Patrick guitars. RRP £400ish Epiphone (sadly not Gibson) Thunderbird. My baby. I'm a bass player originally. Very solid sound. Very rock and roll. Very pretty. I admit I bought it more for the looks than anything. A bit top heavy... I think these go for about £300. My Squier P-Bass - because you have to start somewhere! My mum's Spanish guitar. She says it's worth a lot of money, but it has a warped ne 'ck. Has anyone ever heard of 'Rudall Carte and co. ltd'? Because that's the brand name. Somehow I doubt it's actually worth much. I also own an Aria STG which I picked up off my sister who decided she wanted to learn guitar, and never bothered to do so. It's a horrible thing. So! Let's see your guitars!
  21. That's deffinately either the cable or the connecting wires/parts. If you need a new cable, buy a good expensive one! It's worth the extra money, trust me! Cheap ones inevitably break. If the innards need fixing, you'd be best taking it to a small shop, rather than a chain store. The chain stores charge stupid amounts. This should be a very cheap thing to fix, so don't get ripped off! You might need to buy a new plug-in bit, but I really doubt that.
  22. While on the topic, does anyone know any good language tapes for Japanese? Oh and in answer to the question that started this topic, we call Deutchland 'Germany' because it's where germs came from.
  23. I'm pro VCR and cassette tapes.
  24. I think that's the most cynical four sentences I've ever read. Mind you, they're apt.
