Clever, I'm curious as to whether these marketting strategies work. I'm not as skeptical as I would normally be, being a scientist.. because I've seen that Derren Brown work his magic. He went through a conversation with this guy about his birthday present.. dropping little words with emphasis. You didn't know he was doing it or how. The the guy asked for a red BMX bike, and derren of course opened up this guys present. Then they played it back and you could see the hints for the bike. I think this marketting works.. Everyone watching that video is on the site because they're interested in Nintendo, they might be considering buying a DS because the wifi connection. Perhaps this advert places a seed of thoughts in the consumers mind. Revolution could be the final name after all, Of course i'm 99% gonna say it is a coincidence because this is Nintendo of Europe. lawl.

I don't want to spoil our fun on the forums.. It's a good forum. But aren't we getting our hopes up? When we get out hands on the console, methodically plug it in and boot up the system for the first time filling in the date. Will we be disapointed.. after all this waiting and discussing? Now most of us aren't gonna get the console until November this year, there's only so much chat and news that can fill this time. I'm beginning to think that it is not wise to get our hopes up so much. When I got my PS2 I didn't do hype.. I didn't go on message boards, In fact before this console I never have. Aren't we just ruining Christmas? VERY SLOWLY. I can dig that the console will be a great experience.. but it seems that the things we discuss on the forums get more and more ludicrous every day going down a slippery slope of claims and rumours. With this almost delusional image of the ultimate orgasmic experience it seems on launch our saliva will not be fulfilled with adrenaline.

Being in smash bros. will boost sales no doubt, it certainly wont inhibit them. Developpers will see it as more of an honour and co-operate I suspect. "Oh man I have smash bros. No point buying the 30 games that these characters all come from then :D"

I think the idea above moulded with Animal Crossing's events.. kind of thing. Say Nintendo organise a New Year's tournament for people who play Nintendo on New Year's eve. Then there would be a trophy to get in your Smash Profile.. that absolutely nobody else has.. providing you win. Each year you can get different trophies and tournaments and the winners can collect 'em all. Also what happens when we go around out friends? Can we take out memory card? I'm hoping we can just take a controller around a mates.. and play together against people on the wifi. That is a big issue for many team players.

Black and White will blates make a game. I e.mailed the people from Cyan responsible for the Myst series which is coming to an end soon. We heard that myst would be out for the PSP thanks to Sega publishing i think.. I suggested to them working on the Revolution it would be a relatively easy port series. They said they would seriously look into it but the financial viability of it scares them.. being the second most popular computer game ever second only to the sims (which i don't class as a video game) it's hard to tell whether it would sell or whether they market is saturated.

For me that would be the most immersive feature of an FPS.. real time reloading. Obviously it'd have to be simplified somewhat to a 3D movement of the controller sideways to fit in a magazine or of course the reason why the shotgun will be the most popular revolution weapon (pump action reload) You know in Mario Kart DS when you're playing balloon battle.. and you've got to blow up a balloon whilst being chased by a trippled blast of green shells? That stressful feeling is what I love about Nintendo's new attitude to gaming experiences.. It's gonna be such an adrenaline rush knowing if you don't get that rifle reloaded in 2 seconds you're a dead man. Knowing your reputation as a gamer is at stake on Nintendo wifi. Forget counterstrike.. This has to live up to it's name.

People are lazy, I know the games are meant to be an experience from now on.. but it would be so easy just to move the arm down low instead of getting off your arse. It's a nice idea but it makes me wonder whether some of these more active aspects of gameplay will be exploited to prevent us doing anything. Hell the controller aches your arm after 2 hours of play..

Nah no limit, I just prefer a text signature because I'm lazy and don't feel my identity should be summed up by something as simple as the things I own or like. My words should say enough for me in the posts.. The signature is just about me changing my forum name to alleviate any confusion. Kadaj is okay, I didn't like his voice in advent children though, blending is good.. text is not as clear as it could have been but the centre image is well balanced in between the others. 7.5/10 can tell you're a deviant.

I used to get OPSM just for the demo disc, I'd often read the magazine cover to cover.. but the demo disc is why I bought it. I'll probably read it in smiths.. if it has meat i'll buy it. I probably wont buy another issue though, magazines can't keep up. Nintendo of Europe doesn't get exclusives very often anyway.

I could never get used to that, f-zero is far too fast for that.. We'll see.

Those applications are rad for software. On the firmware I want to see a chat application better than pictochat, I think this may be in the works because that voice patent thing. I'd like a clock on the firmware, a good CD/DVD gui, calendar perhaps synced with release dates and nintendo wifi events. Profiles for Nintendo wifi? lobbys for games. and awards for being cool at online gaming so you get respect

one handed revolution controller with nunchuka add-on. existing hardware slots (prototype model layout will vary slightly but the ports will remain) gamecube shell (mockup) it has been confirmed there will be a wireless shell that houses the controller so we can play wirelessly with traditional games (such as racing games) more easy. hopefully this helps, if you notice on the standard revolution controller there is a clip on section, this can be removed.. and other add ons can be connected so we can expect other add ons. What can we expect? Perhaps a microphone, definitely dance mats.. and the dew from Miyamoto's beautiful mind. There really should be a FAQ sticky about the revolution/controller it's only going to get worse as we get more people hyped by the controller close to launch.

Not a big fan of the emo movement, they're quite hypocritical. They all act anti corporate, yet they wear converse who until recently have been owned by Nike. Why are the converse found in so many movies including sin city and 2 fast 2 furious? Because Nike acquired them back in 2002 and started marketting them to a young audience. Yet when these emo kids get out of university or college they will be working in offices part of the rat race they oh so opposed when they were emo. The tattoos and shit they do to their body they will only regret at a later part in life.. I've always styled myself in things that are original and classic. I don't feel I'm corporate, right now I'm wearing a cheap tesco hoody, tesco underwear, an all american apparel shirt (sweatshop free) and some volcom jeans. I think there is so much emphasis on image these days people define themselves by it, they need to feel like they fit in. But come to think of it, if everyone was a 'non conformist' wouldn't we all be conforming? Personally I think the music associated with emo/screamo is pretty piss poor too. I would never date an emo however hot she was.. they're all so superficial. Many of them used to be goths.. and the fact that bands like Green Day change their image to target this market of emos coming out with songs like American idiot really makes me smile.

I have really long fingers, I always wanted to learn an instrument but have never been able to teach myself. Lessons were always too expensive, I'd be a great pianist if taught properly. I did music GCSE back at school but the staff were incompetent, the guy teaching us the theory got fired and I ended up with an E.
