  1. Only like on the 3rd/4th level and it's great. I heard the Wii U one had the best frame-rate so got that, but to be honest...it's terrible, not unplayable but really distracting. I'm playing co-op and I don't remember previous Lego games having this bad frame-rate in co-op. What's going on? I guess I used to install the previous ones so that made it better.
  2. (Barely knows anything about this game) Is this out for Wii U? I hear the one for Wii U is a different one and is rubbish? Is it big? Canon to the show or comic? Enjoyable? How fast did the parts to the first season come out and do you know if the second season will be out quicker or about the same time-wise? (Not being rude, just trying to be concise).
  3. MERRY CHRISTMAS from my Animal Crossing town. Time to confess, I messed up badly on my game (losing a character, yeah I try to keep them all) so became paranoid about losing another (OCD) so every time I missed a day I set my clock back a day (to take the game at my pace). Needless to say, this went wrong and at points I've been 9 days behind and still only at the 21st December. I wouldn't mind but I've been trying to make a Christmas town, and certain parts of my town were massively underdeveloped and I had so many items I'd been storing them in piles ALL OVER town. These last few days I caught up on 6+ days worth doing every Christmas thing while building the town up bit by bit (I don't want to time travel backwards or forwards past legit date...it's time consuming, especially with 6 billion xmas village events everyday). Oh and I totally brainfarted and planted a huge stock of my holly/cedar in the lower half of the town, losing a good chuck of stock I'd been saving for months towards this project. Yeah, I know it's just a game, but my end goal for this game was some sort of ultimate Christmas town to put up on Dream and finish...and I feel I let myself down. Doesn't help that I feel like I'm going to explode with anxiety (NOT game related, other reasons). Oh well, probably going to put it up later(not half as good as I wanted). Yeah I know I'm talking to myself here (who'd come on here on Christmas day...?) Have a good day (not as miserable as I sound, concentrated playing help me shift away from anxiety).
  4. Oh, got a few spares from Saturday's fishing. Dab tables, anemone bed, crab clock. I think an extra marine pop floor. Haven't really checked them together yet.
  5. This looks dull beyond all belief. I know it actually won't be, but these trailers for it do the game absolutely no justice at all. The first one was insane good, story 64 was okay, Island 2 was okay but just irritating and frustrating and just felt recycled, with extra characters being a good idea (I think, can't really remember!). I just don't know what to think we're getting from this? Is this just a rehash or a NEW Mario style reboot? (Which is now just about rehashing...sadly. If only each successive game had been a reboot of each of the earlier Mario games, with New Mario 2 following the style of Mario 2 US/UK).
  6. So.........is anyone going to post the full list for those of us who couldn't watch it or continue to moan how bad it is instead?
  7. I personally never got more than 10 (11 if you count a spotpass Mii) but my bro got nearly 15 and he never unbacklogged then, they just appeared after he'd finished with the first load. Yeah, and the stripteases settings say 10/10 which just makes me more confused. Nintendo seriously needs to change the settings for this one way or another.
  8. Just need to 100% 2 more levels to open up secret world 4. The boss course one (almost done multiple times, but the final bit keeps cheating!) Also, missing the stamp on 6-3 (6-4? The one like a Japanese palace). Oh, and no one post hints, I want to do it myself. I've searched literally every bit of the level, killing everything, not killing everything, flying to every corner, climbing every corner. At one point I even kept the "blow mic sensor" going as I walked through the entire level just to see if anything would react out of sight (like they do). I'll get it.
  9. I think there was an update over a year ago, and additional Miis after the first ten are stored. I think you can get like 100 at once or something now. It's just that being in the UK you barely even see one streetpass so hardly anyone noticed. Of course Nintendo Zone relay points changed all that.
  10. The demo is really fun, and I was going to pick it up but had too many games (still do). The main reason though was because I barely knew who half of the characters even were. I wanted to play the games they were in first, I basically made this a huge hassle in my head. I also thought it was going to become one of those "limited print, becomes insanely expensive after a month", but instead has become cheap as chips.
  11. ^Thanks dude, apologies again though. So, still being two days behind (I'll catch up) the snow finally settled yesterday. Beautiful. I've take to planting a cedar at the side of each house, with a holly bush to the left and right of it, to make it more Christmassy. I'm finally going to make my town lush and add it to Dream place. Can't believe I never did it (blame OCD perfectionism...though my town still looks crap LOL). I've also remodelled my main room (modern wood type). Well, I've kept most of it, but added the new Jingle stuff. Tree is at centre with the stuffed stockings, wrapped items on the ground around it (such a shame you can't drop the square parcel presents too...). Added a roaring fireplace with my Naughty or Nice day stocking above it (really should have got two...hmmm, wonder if you can buy?) A few jingle furniture pieces, and got a snow-globe yesterday! You can even shake its snow up with sound effects, sweet! Got a few candles too, and adding more candles seems to increase the "red Christmas light" effect. Snowmen are well dodgy and I've naffed one day's up already. Time to consult guide...
  12. Fell asleep for 3 hours...blame my boring family. Sorry.
  13. I have many perfect cherries (though not the "over a thousand" I did have). I think my friend code is on here. I'll add yours. IF you want me to come over and give you some just leave your gates open from 6pm. I'll search for you for about 5 minutes and then I'm off. (you've probably got them by now...) Just had my birthday yesterday (my 3DS clock is 2 days behind). Never got the KK Birthday though,as only knew AFTER the fact. Last week, Amelia moved in after Deirdre left. ANOTHER eagle. Currently buying the gorgeous set to replace my regal set, since I was missing quite a few pieces of that set which I never seemed to be able to require. Got 2 decent streetpass houses with lots of cool stuff. A 3rd but it was only the single room and not even bloody expanded. The really great one seems to be a "day one" player like me. Dead jealous of their pirate gear as there's a few items I want for my weapon/treasure/royalty room. (Pascal sucks! ...and scallops are rare, and despite catching many he's only appeared twice.)
  14. Went around town a few weeks ago...got 1 street pas, 2 the time before. This time I went slightly further in and I must have hit a Nintendo Zone as I ended up with 10 street pass Miis and one special Spotpass Mii. For those in Sheffield, remember to go up or down both sides of the Moor as there's like 3 Zones there.
  15. Saving for Christmas day present. Too many first party Nintendo games to play (mainly various new Mario/Zelda's that have just come out, and others of their series I'm just getting). I so wanted to play Diablo 3/Lego Marvel this month but there's just not enough time... THOUGH I am trying to get games out of the way so I can fully focus on one game, Bravely Default when it comes to the day.
  16. Got absolutely EVERYTHING. mades sure I had everything before Lorule Castle, which was a hassle since I didn't do the Desert Temple (or what it's called) until dead last, and didn't realise I could catch the thief in the village without the Pegasus boots for speed to catch up with him(for those who are past that point, you will surely get the irony of this). Of course that meant I didn't have two essential "item finding" key items until basically the end. A lot of the extras are useless though. The 2 upgrades from Terror Tower (?) are essentially useless. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed all the extra "non-essential" items and such, but they could have been more useful. I also did the final dungeon in one sweep only to load up after the end credits and found out the ENTIRE Lorule Castle was undone. Grrr... Just deleted the file and started up a HERO one, I know I did EVERYTHING and that's all that matters. Those two items may be the two fruits you can buy at shops.
  17. I managed to get the Fruit Basket, Cornucopia and some missing Harvest set. At one point I had to get to the Island and play a tour to get one last lemon as I only had three. You should have at least 3-4 mushrooms actually in your town. The villagers should give you at least 1 of each of the extra ingredients (vinegar/flour etc.) as well as some others such as mushrooms and fruits. I though **** when I remembered really late yesterday, but then did it pretty easy. Still got most of November's catches to get though, keep forgetting.
  18. It's bizarre really. Even if sales picked up, games would have to be put into development and they'd be a while and not worth it. BUT...that's the same situation Xone/PS4 are in. Yet they chose to support them, but not Wii U (other than cheap ports of OLD games, shovelware etc.). Face it, Wii U was deliberately shunned, just like the Wii. Just like Cube was... etc. Third party developers HATE Nintendo. Most (like rabid fans of other consoles) see Nintendo as kiddy, which isn't true. Nintendo's image is just "family-friendly", plenty of violent game end up on Nintendo consoles, it's up to 3rd party developers to just release them WITH THE OTHER CONSOLE VERSIONS OF THE GAME. Not months/years later, with gimped options. 3rd party developers have a self-fulfilling prophecy going on in regards to developing for Nintendo. Why put effort in if it will fail? EQUALS: crappy late ports/shovelware EQUALS: low sales EQUALS: developers don't bother. I don't doubt for one minute if 3rd party developers had announced lots of the kind of stuff they release of sony/microsoft, that hype would have picked up enough for those sort of gamers to buy Wii Us. At the moment the only people supporting Wii U are the core Nintendo fans (not even casuals are supporting like they did with Wii. Do casuals even know Wii U Fit is out...?). It's because, when you're the console maker too, making the game is about "selling your console" thus more time/effort/money. When it's just the software, it's just about making enough profit.
  19. Not even entered the second dungeon yet (chose mountains). The pins for secrets are a blessing, though I've taken to renting loads of items incase I get to a secret. Going to take it at a chilled and relaxed pace. I also have the feeling it is going to be very short. Obviously got zero street passes yet (haven't even gone out...) Hopefully next week I'll nab a streetpass or two. Usually I sell the games when I finish them, but I may keep this just to see what streetpass is about (I sold New Mario 2 and then DLC hit. Grrr.)
  20. Umm, yeah...you plant it. I made millions on perfect cherries. At one point my ENTIRE village was covered in them. Right now they're just around the area of the village tree, which nets about 200-250,000 a pop at a foreign village. Haven't picked in ages though and have a score of baskets unsold. Had perfect oranges (bro's town), and a villager gave me a perfect apple which I keep stored (on the floor randomly in my house...) Perfect oranges are weird in that their shape makes them look like pears. Bizarre.
  21. Ahh, that sucks. Just glad I have something to remember her by. I made a pledge early on not to let anyone leave my Animal Crossing until I had their autograph. Course, then I decided I didn't want anyone to leave. It was one day I missed and the next day she wasn't out to talk to (didn't mention leaving), then it was too late.
  22. My first person left a few days ago (Deirdre). Been clinging on to them since the day of release. My play became too erratic and she slipped through the net. She did send her portrait though. Also, massive destruction to my hybrids. Lost so many of them, including my final blue and jacob's ladder. Lost so many blacks just... I have it set to money, mainly because I go to the island occasionally and bring back dozens of flowers to leave on the beach to go grey so I can pull them up, trying to get my weed puller badge.
  23. Thanks, but you also make an interesting point with the "incremental increases". This counts for most Nintendo games, mainly Mario/Zelda. We've known from how Nintendo works (interviews etc.) that they usually have pools of ideas/abilities/items left over from games that get put into sort of a reserve pool for later games, and other ideas that just get thought up and stored. They used to just "splurge" them all out for the next game in the series, but now instead they just trickle them out, giving us one or two new items or abilities a game, "conserving" the ideas, padding the rest of the game out with...what almost feels like the previous game. While this does seem to cut down on the "we're thinking up stuff" time for a new game (thus keeping them flowing what is essentially annually now) no new game ever hits that "full-on fresh and new Nintendo magic" feeling like it used to. I think that is why so many people are disappointed with what this game is, is because the last time Nintendo went full splurge is Mario Galaxy. Of course, just going "Mario Galaxy 3" wouldn't have counted as a full original entity either, so... There's those who wanted a new Galaxy, those who wanted a new 3D. Even weirdos who wanted a new NEW. (Bloody weirdoes... <_<) What we should have been wanting is a whole new concept. With Nintendo being fully aware now of people wanting another Galaxy (the internet moaned so loud, how could they not hear?) we're likely to end up with another Galaxy rather than a complete original game next time. It could be the end of the Wii U's life before we get a complete new original Mario game. I feel those that wanted another Galaxy and get it will be disappointed, as most were really craving a new unique Mario experience (which they got with Galaxy) and won't get with future sequels.
  24. Even if it's only as good as 3D Land, that's still good in my book. Since it looks waaaaay better, thank you Nintendo. Face it, no Mario game will ever be as difficult as Mario 64. For two reasons; it's made for EVERYONE now, not just Mario fans wanting a challenge. And the most obvious; the play style is no longer new. People were rubbish at full 3D games back then since they were only just learning how to play these type of games. It's just standard now, most games are practice for this style of game. I personally don't rush these games.I usually aim for everything before moving on to the next world.
  25. HMs should have been reduced to a quick option long ago, simply activated by clicking on things that require them and using the HM if you have a Pokemon in your party that can actually use the HM, without having to actually teach it to them. With you only teaching them a HM if you want it for in-battle use.
