  1. Other characters? I could see a character from Xenoblade/X and maybe Professor Layton. I'd say they'd keep Sonic. Those guys doing the Rabbid games have stuck by Nintendo pretty good, so a Rayman/Rabbid character or cameo would not surprise me. Megaman is the best addition for me. I got chills watching the intro for him! Maybe it's just the Megaman 2 nostalgic factor? When they said they were cutting down characters, did they mean "compared to the last game" or "we had a big list for this game but had to trim it extensively". I think this whole 3DS thing may be a curse. I hear delays because of the 3DS version, and character restrictions because of the 3DS version (likely stage and other options too). It doesn't sound good to me. To be honest I don't care for any interactivity options between the two. Am I hearing false info? Will they try to save on space by having certain characters simply be alternate costumes? Like Luigi being a Mario clone? Various different Links simply alternate costumes? Pokemon Trainer's costumes basically each gen's main character with 3 Pokemon starter palette swaps? I always wanted Vaati from Minish Cap to be a character, a sort of rival to Link's swordplay in the game, but it's unlikely now given how old the game is. i'd say there's going to be a character to represent each of the really popular 3DS/Wii U games currently out and out around the time of the game.
  2. LOL Bro ended up getting the game before me despite not caring initially (from GAME, download code, got it for £10.25, account was hacked months ago, so GAME gave us points worth nearly £20). Still waiting for my "Buy 3, get one free" code. So annoying.
  3. I think though, for those disappointed Mario in 3D World (I'm not, it looks ace) is that, this is more than likely not the Wii U's flagship Mario game (y'know World/SNES, Sunshine/CUBE, N64/64, Wii/Galaxy). I mean does anyone really believe this is it for Mario platformers, that we're not getting a Mario U/Universe? Exactly.
  4. I thought Mario 3D World looked awesome. Sure, it isn't the Mario Universe I wanted, but meh. It just needs a decent amount of levels, and PROPER power-up use. 3D Land totally mucked this up as far as I'm concerned. There should have been more power-ups, and more uses for them. It looks like the "3D" is its own series now like the "NEW", and they've got the costume power-ups. It's a system seller to ME, and since I don't own a Wii U, that's a new sale! Mario Kart looked okay. Probably not going to buy. I used to be a big Mario Kart fan but haven't had anyone of a similar skill level to play since the SNES version, and anyone to have a regular game with since the N64 version. Thus never bothered with the GBA/DS versions. Got some use of the GC version, played a few stages on Wii one and just gave it to my niece. 3DS has a bit more play but that doesn't even have much of anything unlocked. The only E3 stuff I'm looking forward to is Mario 3D World, Pokemon X/Y, Final Fantasy Versus. I'll buy plenty of other games, but these 3 are the stars to me.
  5. At least this guarantees they actually spent a proper time making the game like they used to, right? Just looks ace.
  6. Watched the long trailer with gameplay. thought it looked ace, I want this...then WHAM. realized it was online and my net connection is trash, so no point in getting it. One of the reasons I gave up on Gold Live. Always getting disconnects when trying to play online games, or random speed reductions when high download, despite unlimited and forking out masses each month. Always complain, after a few complaints, our speed "magically" goes back up and remains a stable connection for a week or two, then it's back to the usual erratic connection. Just gave up phoning it in now, unless it becomes unusable low. Just got accused of being paranoid on DS forums, but it's no coincidence when it happens over and over. What, I'm supposed to believe it's "just a coincidence" our speed and stability increases EVERY time I complain to our ISP? REALLY? Umm, sorry about the rant. It just bugs me knowing I won't ever be able to properly play online versus games.
  7. I think this looks excellent. Only problem is X1/Windows. I now own a MAC and plan on never getting an X1. Oh well. Just a good job then that LBP's natural expansion will be something like this (or better, I can hope!) Odd no one is talking about this.
  8. Nintendo's showings this year should truly be ace. And that's just further info of the stuff we actually know. Yeah, I know I sound like a right irritating Ninty fanboy, but the new Pokemon X/Y stuff wins it for me before they even show anything else. More info on... Pokemon X/Y Zelda 3DS Wind Waker HD Mario Kart U 3D Mario U Smash bros 3DS/U Yoshi 3DS/Wii U And that's stuff we know. There'll no doubt be at least one new "from Nintendo" 3DS/Wii U reveal. Any true Nintendo fan should be crapping themselves.
  9. LOL great offer...albeit pointless for me. Already registered my 3DS, but my brother HASN'T registered his. Though we both already own physical copies of the game. I just hope I didn't take my bro's registry codes and try to input them when i did a big pile of codes a while back... I guess if this works (and the code is free use) I'll have a code to give away.
  10. ^The charm with auto-guard and skill Guard+2 always help me. But then I'm SnS, and have become waaaaaaay too reliant on auto-block. I think the first armor set I made for a specific situation was Wroggi set. I just got so fed up of being poisoned. The extra sharpness is essential for when you first start getting a new color sharpness and you only have an itty-bit, too. I always planned on mastering two weapons and switching between the two. I was going to be a bow man too, but the aiming is so fidgety I'd have gone crackers. Sure, point-blank aim, but I feel that defeats the purpose of a bow. If you're gonna stand in front of a monster and hammer the button, it may as well be a sword with 6x the power.
  11. I get my money for new games by selling my old games. To own an Xbox One (assuming I could buy it, it's gonna be expensive) would just be a huge money sinkhole for me. Basically, monetary unfeasible. Plus, ALWAYS on? No thanks. Plus have to be connected online to play? Not with my connection, son. I mostly chose 360 game version over PS3 this gen, but this essentially makes the decision of PS4 for me. After I get my Wii U, of course. Even if I could afford, I can't morally choose to. MS choices are creepy and screwed up. It makes me sick thinking of all those who'll submit to this without a care in the world, forcing videogaming down this unsavory route by the voting of their money.
  12. I'm probably alone here, but I can count on no hands how many EA games I've bought in the last 5+ years. Of course, I don't actually have a Wii U yet, either.
  13. It was pretty expensive. 59.99, but was willing to drop to 49.99. Had a buyer somewhere in the EU, but when I finally agreed to send to another country they just vanished on me.
  14. ^Hahaha, I'm selling mine on Amazon at the moment. It's in 100% perfect condition. Instructions still smell fresh! I had a buyer but they slipped through my fingers! I think I was only half-way through the game, but I had life problems, and left it too long and never got my interest back up. A shame, because it was so ******* awesome. Decided to sell it the moment I heard about the remake, figured I'd let some collector have it (err, anyone interest, know I can negotiate the price!) Had it around about the time I was playing new PS1 RPGs; it seemed every new month brought me a new US import RPG. No sooner had I finished one, it was onto the next. Good times.
  15. Still remember playing the SNES DKC at Christmas. Magical. DK64 and DKCR are the only ones in the series I've missed, but have this 3DS one pre-ordered. This and a proper sequel to Yoshi's Island coming up, a proper top-down Zelda like the SNES one...the 3DS is like SNES reborn this year! A 2D Metroid would just complete the year for games. I'd say we're looking at a Starfox/F-Zero announcement soon, too. I must say, I've far much more enjoyed my DS/3DS than Nintendo's home consoles a lately.
  16. ^Like that, the cameras and cartridge slot make a smiley face... A deliberate Nintendo easter egg? LOL. I REALLY want this game, but I've not fully finished the last one. I gave up post main game when I realized my bro had given up on his White 2 copy a few gyms in, basically meaning I'd NEVER get the White 2 keys to complete everything (OCD). I've basically got a pad with everything left to do, bits to check etc. about 2-3 pages long. If I could get my AR to work I'd cheat the keys onto his game, then transfer them, but it broke the second time I used it.
  17. The sailing is excellent. That moment when you're deep at sea and it starts thundering and raining...at the exact same time it's doing it in real life! (Complete with open window and cool breeze drifting in, small droplets...) I think the only thing that needs adding is those cut dungeons. Doubt we'll get them though. Hard Mode and Boss Attack is about all to expect.
  18. ^I think (not 100% sure) if you go through the boundary to the next section then back again, the giant corpse will have moved to just at the edge of the boundary, allowing you to carve away. This has happened to me maybe twice, so don't know if it happens all the time.
  19. Since I always usually sell my games these days (used to save every one) after completion, the most logical choice for the free game for me, will be Animal Crossing. It's one of those games never completed, that has something new to offer everyday due to its real-world clock. I already have MH3U, and have DKCR3D pre-ordered. I've also pre-ordered the new Pokemon Dungeon, but may cancel. Don't exactly have the money right now, which is why the counting on the pre-orders.
  20. Wait...what? ^It only has 144 Pokemon? Didn't the last game have them all? (I only played the first game in the series).
  21. Made armor set that nullifies poison just for battles with giants that cause poison. I just couldn't stand these types of battles anymore. When you spend half the battle using antidotes/herbal remedies (usually 2-seconds after you just used one!) I just want to scream.
  22. Nintendo should tackle the problem head-on. People think it's not a new console? Make a daft advert where some hapless fool thinks it's just a Wii and is "brought to the truth" through a series of comedy misadventures, advert style. Openly mock themselves about not making it 100% clear what the Wii U was. If anything we'd get some hilarious adverts.
  23. Let's face it, Nintendo hates revealing information too early, and with E3 they're tempted to save material and show stuff even later. Nintendo E3's rarely ever lived up to their own Spaceworld's. I do however like the new Nintendo Directs. Expand them a bit more (maybe like a little TV Video Games Show?) along with all the new reveals. I think in this new age, lots of smaller events makes more sense than one huge event as it gives chance for more title reveals to get the spotlight.
  24. Local multi with my bro, both at the point just after getting Katanba (Kawanba?) and also been doing the multi player quests (just done Urgent Quest on BOTH games and hit HR2). Been hitting the event and arena quests a lot too. Last night I finally said "sod it, I'm upgrading". Yes, I'd still got chainmail set since forever... Got the complete Barroth set (including Carapace+ weapon), 5x Sharpening Decs (man, that's useful...one scrape and it's sharp!) and a Hunger charm to get rid off the sets minus hunger skill. I want to use other weapons, but I find it hard to like them. It's the sword&shield's jumping lunge; it's too useful. I've become dependent on it and all other weapon styles feel alien. My bro's stuck using dual swords as well. I saved so I could use some money and resources (without saving after) to try some other high level weapons out, and quite liked the Horn made from Lagiacrus stuff. It felt as powerful as the slow stuff, but not too slow. Basically battered Great Jaggi around like a toy. I was surprised how quick he fell. Anyone have any tips for Horn?
  25. For the brief time I played the Wii version I remember the initial resource gathering, but I'd already downloaded the DLC extras (3DS) and started with 5000 resource points. Useful YES, but it felt like I'd cheated...
