END OF CHAPTER 5 SPOILERS

Chapter 5 & Most of 6 Spoilers
-
I think my summon friend is Agnes using Healing Wave (restores everyones HP/MP, boosts healing potential, and gives everyone 2BP back). I always find it insanely useful. When in doubt though (without knowing your exact problem, still halfway through Chapter 6). If you're braving x 4, try one turn at a time. If you're one turn at a time, try braving x 4. If you're being instant wiped out, try Enigma/Rampart/Utsusemi. Still short on BP with the character using Enigma? Have them use Sacrifice MP first to get a few extra BP (turbo ethers/elixirs are pretty common at this point anyway). I defeated the dragons way under level with this method since their attacks never did anything. Have a healer (Salve-Maker skill) cast Resurrect or widen-area+phoenix down, then Curaga every turn. Make sure your healer has the Double Max HP ability (I think that's what it's called). The goal is to always make sure your healer is nigh on unkillable, even if you have to sacrifice all magic/physical attack, since they're just healing anyway.

...unless you've no idea what Groundhog Day is about, and just assume it's about Groundhog Day.

...and now the story is spoiled. Thank you. Still on Chapter 5 and that pretty much spoils what will happen next.

Hmm, I guess. I was sort of just suggesting a Mario Kart expansion that just had more Nintendo themed characters/items/tracks from non Mario games (basically the same but MORE). Though I guess an insaner, different type of Mario Kart "Smash Kart" could work too. It couldn't just be a character/item/decoration flip though, like you said it would have to be out and out crazy to make it distinctly different. Lego Nintendo World had always been a fantasy game for me, but I never thought for one minute it would ever get made. Then Wii U got its one exclusive Lego game, and now Hyrule Warriors is coming out. Main IP farmed out, exclusive Lego game... All we need is someone at Nintendo to put the ideas together and throw some cash at it! There was also a few more Direct games. I believe Japan had more on persona Q, and a new Shining game called Battle Arcus, which contains characters from the Shining games but it's a one-on-one fighter. Though I'm not sure that last one is 3DS, I'm sure it was on Nintendo Direct, youtube didn't make it clear.

Oh, and they need to hire out the company that does Lego games to make a Lego Nintendo World. It would be like Lego City, except the various districts would be based on Nintendo games. Nintendo characters with unique abilities. Mario Kart needs to expand too. they should keep it as "one Mario Kart each console", but after each one has been out a while it receives an expansion that turns it into Nintendo Kart.

The solution? FOR FANS ----------- NES/SNES VC SHARED for Wii U and 3DS. N64/CUBE VC for Wii U. GBA/DS VC for 3DS. Dedicated translation team. Not people who've just been told "translate this" but actual experts. To translate games to sell in non-japanese country whose own developer is EXTREMELY lax (SE for one...). A subset of the team would include those who translate and release older games on VC that NEVER got a western release. It should be a whole ongoing event or something. Yes, we got a few, but you know what I mean. For Nintendo INHOUSE to concentrate on neglected IPs, or at least give them to trusted developers, such as... Metroid; a 3DS Metroidvania, and a Wii U adventure shooter. Have them connect storyline-wise. Starfox; PROPER Starfox. It's new feature? Light/dark side, with you able to play evil mode (light/dark both have their own stories) as Starwolf. ONLINE multiplayer (they have an online racer MK8, a beat'emup Smash) shooter. Online story mode, online "Lylat System Missions" (can be single player too obviously, and has you being sent on short and fun missions in the Lylat system, which will receive a later DLC expansion pack! Starfox will receive missions from the general, with Starwolf receiving missions from a mysterious unknown). Obviously multiplayer/online battle mode, too. Online RPG. Let's face it, they completely dropped the ball with DQX. Get Nintendo to fight for the unique rights of the latest Phantasy Star Online or some new version of it. Or hire SE out to make an all ages/family friendly MMO based on Mana "World of Mana". By having it be Mana SE doesn't risk alienating its fans on the other consoles since when was the last time a Mana game came out anyway...? "BITE SIZE". Remember SNES Satalaview or whatever it was called. Didn't it used to receive bite-sized games, released over time and such? Kinda what some companies are doing now. GET BACK TO THIS. For both 3DS and Wii U. Imagine buying a little combo pack each month (that you could subscribe to) and receiving loads of bite size games a month! I see a Zelda game where each month you receive a dungeon based on themes from that month (holidays, seasons) that runs all year! Mario Bros challenge levels released with best scores and times and such. Each month would have stats with a big leader board of who did best on that months "bite sizes". I've said it before and I'll say it again; next gen Nintendo needs to release a portable console with the power of a home console that can beam its image to the TV (opposite of what Wii U does) and have its portable/home console be one in the same. It being a portable should be what is promoted (it needs to be shown to be not competing with Sony/Microsoft, their own niche, which is what nintendo wants anyway). Nintendo clearly does NOT have resources to release a steady stream of games for two consoles anymore with how expensive it is now. One console focusing on their strengths (portables...but with the option of using it as a TV console!), and it just being one console they'd have the power to release a steady flow of games ALL YEAR.

Dreadful. GBA games on Wii U? Why? So we can experience them in crappo vision? 3DS or don't bother. As for the lineup... Good god, WTF Nintendo? Mario Kart and Smash... That's it? Great games (for those that have friends and a stable net connection). Even the 3DS games, what...? Yoshi/Kirby...are they even made at Nintendo outsourced? I have to onder (like many others) just what Nintendo's inhouse teams are doing (other than readying VC games nobody wants AGAIN at the speed of a tortoise, while ignoring the ones we want or ones that havn't been released before). Did half their staff get laid off secretly? It feels like they've given up. I doubt Zelda will be out this year. I get Nintendo likes to keep things hidden, but these days they seem to keep quiet because they have nothing. Yes, they'll probably announce a game or two at E3 for release later in the year, but what about until then? We're about due another 3DS Mario, so NEW Mario Bros 3 (sigh) will be an announcement. If Nintendo can't be bothered making anything, try releasing some Enix gems or something. I've more to say, but it's so annoying using the gamepad keyboard.

C'mon Shining Soul 3DS with local co-op! And that actually gets a UK release!

No idea if you can fight the dragons again, it's just I never fought them until Chapter 5. Still on CH5, so no idea about the title remix. I don't usually turn encounters off until I faced all enemies in an area for my Bestiary. I did DeRosso easily with Utsusemi/Rampart. Never bothered with Enigma. Turns out this was totally my fault as I was doing it 4x Brave at a time again. One turn at a time made it ridiculously easy. He randomly did Bone Crusher TWICE in a row, I blocked one and for some reason everyone just evaded the second (shrugs), which was the only "awww hell naw!" moment. Deciding what to do next. Do all the boss side-quests/genomes/job-ups or just get on with the story. Doing all this stuff instead of continuing the story has killed my enthusiasm, so i may just get back to the story. All these boss-redos are available until end-game, I assume?

Well, I only started the Vampire Castle story Chapter 5+, and since starting I've done the first "you know what" again (spoilers), all 6 dragons, another boss battle, 2 nemeses and am at the top of Vampire Castle(nice items on the way up). He's got 200,000 HP and every 3-4 turns does a double combo of some sort of elemental blast+bone crusher. I can block the elemental attack using Enigma, but the bone crusher always gets me. I hear you can use Rampart to block the physical, but that's going top require me to level up Knight on my fastest player and use it as a sub, otherwise I'll have to waste my primo physical attacker on using Rampart. That'll only leave two attackers though, so this could take a while. Those attacks can pretty much one-shot on their own on Hard, and I'm not doing any more levelling or switching difficulties, so this will have to do! Wish me luck. Something weird happened when fighting the dragons. My healer Spiritmaster/White Mage always had the dragon trying to status effect her. They ALWAYS targeted her. I had the Red Mage ability that restores 2BP when hit with a status effect on her (whether it takes effect or not) and using that SacrificeMP move to give 2 extra BPs meant I was essentially fully Enigma Elemental block and Curaga nearly every turn. I was unkillable.

Not played demo, but I'd just get straight into thew game. I myself am going so slow time has nearly stopped. I have issues, it takes will to want to concentrate on anything, but that has nothing to dow tim the game.

Savour the Wii U and Vita they are the new Dreamcasts?!
Mr_Master_X2 replied to flameboy's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Dreamcast was fantastic. It was my first at home internet access, too. Games so bloody awesome, and set up properly the picture laser sharp. FOLLOW MY RAINBOW!! I had that tune so stuck in my head. -
That area's great for money. With More Money/Golden Egg and a Thief with the ability to steal off everyone and get 2x items. Some battles you end up with 8x Ancient Bows (6,000 a piece!), Dark Shields and Tridents. Quick easy battles too, Thief does the 2x steal on everything twice, then my BM/Summoner casts 2 strong fires spells and the battle is over. Auto.

I didn't realize the POL was "no backsies". I suspected, but then just went on. So I never got the Vampire job. I mean, I know I can still get it, but it's going to be different dialogue and stuff isn't it? And all the bosses to get to it are going to be end-game amped up, right?

Had a few days break, and just got back. Still beginning of Chapter 5, but said "I want more abilities/job diversity" so first port of call was an area with massive money to get the Money Egg, which I got pretty quick, and coupled with More Money skill, I got the Growth Egg VERY fast. Next port of call is everyone's Freelancer getting upped for More JP. Then skill acquisition begins.

He states you don't see men stripping off in games, yet they have multiple times, going as early back (or earlier) as Super Ghouls 'n' Ghosts. Bloody hell, what is wrong with the guy? I'm all for equality between men/women which is why I'm fine with girls stripping off in this game. Male strippers are popular for a reason because women like to ogle the opposite sex just as much as men. My mother and aunty often act like men are sexist and such while being blatantly sexist pigs themselves. It's just the human body, and other humans like to look at them. WHAT?! I can blow someone's head off in full HD realistic detail but it's somehow morally wrong to look at cartoon breasts...? LOL. Some people. And telling others not to buy it and to tell others not to buy it. That's just too far. UNLESS...this is a trap? Get people to kick up a fuss over it, for advertising and get it to sell more copies, THUS ensuring more games like this get localised? Excellent.

Sorry, I'd help but I can't activate mine until I'm ready. My in-game date is still 25th December. I turn it on, I have to play until someone tells me they want to leave (sop I can stop them), which means playing through 5-6 days in-game, and I haven't got time.
-
Yeah, playing on anything other than hard would have been pointless, as there'd be no challenge (it's easy enough on hard...) Just started Chapter 5. The reveal at the end of Chapter 4 was pretty obvious and saw it coming really early in the game for obvious reasons (that I can't point out due to spoilers).

It's looking better.

I think I misunderstood Abilink. I thought it allowed you to use a specific move without having any of those job abilities added (such as being a Ninja with secondary Ranger, and having Abilink for Mug). Oh well. It's essentially useless, and not really what I wanted to use it for.
