I've got a magazine somewhere from absolutely ages ago where they say it's being delayed because they've made the decision to start again using the Unreal engine instead of the Quake 2 engine, THAT's how long this game has been delayed! Not particulary excited about any of the games in the poll, but I'd say DNF simply because it would mean actually seeing it coming out!

There's usually a reason that publishers put out loads of trailers for a game featuring little or no actual gameplay footage. Hopefully in this case it's mostly because not much of it is finished.

I comepletely agree, football fans aren't one homogenous group and you can't expect people to be held accountable for the actions of people who happen to support the same team. But I don't think anyone's saying liverpool fans are murdering scum in this thread. There were definitely other factors, unsafe stadium, inept policing, debatably provocation. So it's possibly over simplistic to just say that the ban was because of liverpool fans. But if it wasn't for an element within their support, it wouldn't have happened. Saying that, it could have been any group of any team's fans, including a minority of idiots, in that situation.

Well that's the other thing about being an early adopter of stuff like that. You end up with something you paid a fortune for that's less compatible, bulkier and with less features then super cheapo models a year down the line.

By the time there's a decent amount of stuff to play on blu-ray players (assuming it's not Betamax 2) Asda will be stacking em up next to the Sunny Delight at about £50 a pop anyway. Look at how fast DVD recorders came down in price, they were over a grand when they came out.
