Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Raven replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
i liked all the trailers. but the one that i liked best was the one where you first seem him transform into the wolf. its the one that starts at a castle, and then the evil things come from other dimension. then there is link talkin to some people, then he running through a forest with a lantern. eventually stopping, falling to his knees, screaming (as he does), and turning into a wolf. i think i can still watch this bit, and get excited in a big way. the trailer REALLY builds up to something.. and then delivers -
it APPEARS to be a dvd of sorts with lots of zelda goodies. the numbers shown are times that the tracks go for. also, looking at some of the names, there appears to be some wallpapers included too.

the vc bundles is something that i predicted a while back, and am still expecting. pokekids example of MP3 and M-NES is exactly the what i was thinking of. but i doubt that nintendo would make the 'bundled games' exclusive to title purchase. imagine playing a 'kid icarus wii' (for arguements sake) and getting a free download of the original! i think that its a great idea. or 'beating event battle 100' in smash bros brawl, and getting a free download of the original... or maybe on unlocking 'character X' you also get 'character X's first NES game available for download. there is so much that nintendo can do with this. and i think, they should do AS MUCH AS THEY CAN! if it becomes public knowledge that if you get a certain game, you also get heaps more included... itd be the best advertising ever. =-=-=-=-=-= as for luigis mansion. it is bound to happen one day. nintendo would be stupid not to implement a wiimote thing into it.
-
which just adds more satisfaction when you DO score a goal!
-
shite!!! i did not know that! well, my money saving plans just flew out the window. if the game uses the wiimote for multi, there will be a good chance of me gettin a few of the sods... i enjoyed ffcc quite a bit. DAMN! DIDNT KNOW IT WAS LAUNCH! (happy)

Illusion of time was superb. anyway, i cant say a single title... soo...... illusion of time secret of mana megaman x chrono trigger terranigma

today decided to go shopping around the local stores, see what sort of deals would be offered. .. thus far: toys r us - that free game deal. although the pamphlet doesnt say 'which game', but dude behind the counter reckoned it was a launch game of choice. though i personally also think he had no idea what he was talking about. the game offered could easily be a gamecube game. myer - (see above) jb hifi - nothing as of yet eb games - will match anything that otehr companies do (and are also skeptical of the toysrus deal). something VERY nice that i did see in toys r us though, was a tv set playing a dvd of wii-related-goodness (with an ign tag in the corner...). the first thing i saw on it was the smash bros brawl trailer, and then it went on to have the little 'i' things jumping around, and then the video with all the people doing different stuff with the wiimote. am loving this advertising thing!

Link <Pardon the pun> nice little find there! the bit at the bottom is most interesting!

SOURCE http://wii.ign.com/articles/723/723601p1.html (this was from the mainpage of revo-europe as well) i just thought that this needed a thread of its own! please discuss! i swear, if i see a new strikers game at leipzig, i will wet myself. awesome game on the cube, and nintendo can only improve.

moderator of the world? this is the scenario i picture.... "YOUR BANNED!!!" "Nooooo!" *gets sucked into a black hole* good job guys.
-
*laughs* good to hear that someone on this board is as money concious as me!!! as soon as i hear release dates and the like, im gonna be shopping around. and given that my brother and a couple of my friends are gonna get the Wii, we may even work it out that between us we get awesome deals (and masses of coupons to boot!) for examples sake, one person could get theirs from Myer, and get the $600 worth of coupons (see australia wii launch thread), and someone else could get a different type of deal from electronics boutique its all about teamwork people. gotta lean on each others shoulders and all that stuff! =-=-= anyway. i was thinking that i would like to get the wii 'the second of launch', like, do the lineup thing and all that. but i get the feeling that the people would just annoy me. i remember going to the superchallenge, where there were a lot of N-heads. and god they shitted me. totally wanted to backhand some of those punks. at release, i will get: -black wii -zelda -metroid -dragon swords -=-extra BLACK wiimotes, if wiisports happens to come free or something. because as things stand, the only games im totally nuts about are single player. just need to wait until smash brosm starfox.. etc. heh. but in saying that, if my bro is getting one, he may get stuff like red steel... ahh the possibilities
-
i wasnt... not really fussed anyway. also... i thought galaxy was gonna be a launch title.... i could be wrong though. not that im fussed. the game didnt jump out and say 'OMGWTFBBQ BUY ME NOW!!!11!one!'
-
nice work stabby. still, could be educated guesses. bigtac got plenty wrong.
-
i just want to note, that i do not wish to be associated with Josh40 whatsoever. i do not spam, nor do i make up bullshit posts. And i DO hope that people treat my posts with a certain degree of respect, even if my opinion is a bit warped... anyway as things stand, Myer arent impressing me with their deal. i will continue to shop around for a better deal. especially one that doesnt require my preorder to be in a mere 5 days before release!
-
wasnt a fan of jungle beat. bro does have donkey konga 1. and it IS quite enjoyable. but tbh, we havent played it in a very long time.
-
went into myer today and got a pamphlet which has a reservation code on it.. sorry, dont have a scanner.. but in short it says: 1. present preorder card to staff member 5 days before release date 2. buy a $40 myer gift card to go towards the purchase of your wii 3. wii release date to be advised. the other side of the paper tells how wonderful the wii is. i asked the dude behind the counter what the '$600 in discounts on nintendo wii and electrical products' means, and he said that basically, itll be a stack of coupons, with, specific discounts. apparantly they did something like it for the psp release as well. what the specificness means, is that you may get a coupon for a game that is 3 months away, or coupons that can only be used in February.. or somehtin like that.
-
killer7 was the same.... but for some reason it was awesome... eternal darkness as well. its the charm of a game that makes it cool.
-
SOURCE: gonintendo.com I believe that $600 in coupons is probably 30 vouchers saying: "Buy 2 wii games, get $20 off your next one!!!" I might go into Myer in Melbourne CBD soon, and see what the deal is exactly.
-
i think the main question is: 'ugh... what did they promise again?' i can only assume that it would be when reggie was saying about release dates, CHEAP console being announced. and the innovative gaming bit. thats always fun. didnt we hear somewhere that they WERE DEFINATELY gonna reveal the launch details? it think it was from that magazine
-
if kid icarus is announced i will be very pleased. the other 4 could be mario party games for all i care
-
when i saw these, i almost cried with joy. i love that game so much!!!
-
agreed. i will agree that they have removed (somewhat) the idea that games are for geeks thing, but apart from that, im not seeing much that has been revolutionised. (feel free to expand on what i say. im not gonna spend an hour thinking on what they have done... got homework to do.)
-
agreed.:horse: im sure that nintendo have realised that they DONT HAVE TO use the wii-mote in absolutley every game. and i think that smash bros would be one of those games that suffers with wiimote inclusion. the only step that hal labs need to do from melee is make it online, introduce some more characters, more moves, up the graphics a tad... and people will love it.
-
interesting... i have to agree about the game developers and stuff should be allowed to keep their work a secret until they feel 'it is time'... but emailing it to someone in the press and assuming its not gonna get out is just stupid. i think they wanted it to be seen, and are doing something funny... dont know what though
-
you all smell. anyway, seeing as ive just got into the mood of this whole thread (which is just a slanderfest unto itself.) im gonna tell you what gives me the incentive to get games. a) fun hmmm.. i think that concludes my list. but seriously. i love a good story. but there that doesnt matter if the game doesnt suit my taste. examples (little bit random) ============================================== +project hammer.+ even if this game is injected with an awesome storyline (which it might well have already... i dont know), hammer swinging game aint my favourite. +eternal darkness+ this game has got a good storyline. but lets get real, the game is friggen basic! i mean, if the sanity system wasnt in the game, i dont think i ever would have enjoyed it. +mario sunshine/mario64+ both have same general story. princess gets captured, mario comes in for the save. BUT MARIO64 IS SUPERIOR!!!!! it just has a certain charm that the other doesnt. +killer 7+ story = wtf? gameplay = use A button to run. shoot 'smiles'. art - very cool. +starfox adventures+ good story, good graphics. good gameplay.... but why dont i like it??? grrrr. +chrono trigger+ good everything. best game ever created =================================================== so anyway. that probably doesnt help my cause at all, because most of what i have said is very contradictory. but it all boils down to 'different games are charming for different reasons'. you dont need a story for a good game (eg. tetris, mariokart, smash bros). and you clearly dont need awesome graphics. not all of the wii titles will be 'silly fun games'. there will be stories for those who are concerned.
