  1. *laughs* ninty doesnt worry about the graphics whatsoever. just gives out those 3d glasses to make the images pop out at ya! *grins* and very soon cheap ripoffs flood the market of the 'ninty glasses', but they are made out of cheap cellophane and cause eye cancer... that was a good read. i guess we all wait until e3. thats when the hype will hit this board
  2. the vin diesel quotes are unreal. but check out this one: http://toadking.ath.cx/6x9=42/vin_diesel.php its got the quotes in a big list... much easier reading. i like: "Spelling Vin Diesel backwards out loud will reverse the rotation of the Earth." but then again... im a physicist... that stuff cracks me up. the decline of video gaming ones are superb, a must watch for anyone. and www.fat-pie.com is superb for crazy movies. WARNING::: a lot are quite gross. anyone for rusty spoons? *grins*
  3. have you driven at all before? if you have (out on back roads, paddock, whatever) it shouldnt take long at all. because then all you need to know is the rules. if you are totally new to it, ... well. prolly not long. something funny about gamers being able to pick things up quickly and having good judgement...
  4. sony are so funny with their stealing... they even got games about stealing things (sly raccoon, GTA games...) heh heh. anyway, i wouldnt believe anything that any magazine says after ngc and their speculation and .. uhh.. everything. i have to give nintendo a silent applause for hyping this game, must be a fair bit if it manages to get a mention in a talk about the PS3 *grins* just on the xbox360 hype... uhh what? exactly. there is a preorder thing in a harvey norman catalogue ($649AUD), and thats about all. it doesnt say how wonderful it is, just what is included in the box.
  5. it took me about 40hrs the first time through... im doin it for a 3rd time now yeah. the last boss is quite easy, but you need to go out and find the superbosses! they are quite a challenge!
  6. uh no. elvis was the king... anyway, i thought that there was no confirmation about the zelda thing... it seems that somebody has taken a rumour and has just run with it.
  7. well thats not nice... i was waiting for the game for a long time... and the megaman anniversary... why did it only hit the US?
  8. in Australia, they go for $99AUD. you can do the conversions... etc

    I'm Back

nope. he isnt human. he is a supercomputer developed by Nintendo (not the revolution. ha ha) that is connected to the forums, existing solely to give the occasional leak (/rumour) when things start to quiet down.
  10. im up to 100+ hours now... anyway. i thought that id put a post in, because i was having an epic battle with the 2nd sword dancer, things were looking grim... then for some reason Colette stuffed up the spell she was casting... yes thats right. this is the first time ive EVER seen her cast the 'holy judgement' spell, and i didnt know it existed until an hour ago. couldnt believe it! the spell, needless to say, made mince meat of the sword dancer... but christ thats powerful!
  11. havent got it yet (Aus). but im gonna import it very soon (prolly gonna place order this afternoon). ive been waiting for the damn thing for ages, and im getting impatient. from what ive seen, it looks great.
  12. it would be quite an odd game though. quite dark id think. also fabulous.
  13. lazyboy speaks a lot of good stuff! a direct sequel to ToS would be good, but its not really necessary. your idea in spoiler#1 is superb, i would love to play that game more anime cutscenes would be great. i have heaps of saved games just before all of them. eventually ill save them to something... or download.. or something. but totally independant tales games seem to work. square does the same thing with its final fantasy games. except for X-2, which EVERYONE loved... (sarcasm... sorry!)
  14. well, if shigsy reckons that the game is more 'hardcore' and for the more mature gamer, i would assume that it would be harder. and that would be great! in my opinion MM was a more mature game... i mean, that moon and every characters sense of impending doom was quite creepy. if TP is able to instill that feeling into the player, it will be good. i also loved the character interactions in MM. very cool. i didnt find OoT, MM or WW very hard at all, but that doesnt mean that i didnt find them enjoyable! i agree with james that nintendo havent ruled out the forwards compatability thing. looking forward to the TP release!
  15. i hired it once... thought the 1p mode was very good, but the multiplayer sucked the big one.
  16. i agree wholeheartedly with Masaki. it would be bloody annoying playing a zelda game, nay, ANY game, waving the remote at the screen! at first i was excited by the controller and the fun games that could be released with it... but cmon! you can only play fly swatting games for so long! [rant] if you dont like the "paddle", that does not mean that you wont be getting a revolution... i mean damn, what are you gonna do YenRug? stalk him and make sure that he doesnt get one? im sure that many gamers out there will be happy to get the system with the idea that the ngc controllers work with it. at the moment, i would probably give up on gaming altogether if nintendo were to make every game paddle compatible. [/rant]
  17. i havent read the rest of the thread. but in answer to the question: "because doom sucks" actually. that was a bit nasty. but there ARE a lot better games out there.
  18. it might... no chance id get up at midnight for that. cant be stuffed!
  19. i cant recommend it highly enough. good story, more twists and turns than ... uhh. a twisty turny thing... and you can change the difficulty of the battles, just in case you have fears of launching into an easy game. if you have played tales of phantasia, it is very similar in style.
  20. haha/ maybe they use the floor vision as the map of the track. or just make a real mariokart game. no need to put any big twists on it. as soon as a game gets too complicated, it can lose its fun. examples of this include: mario kart 64>>>mariokart DD mario tennis >>>mario smash tennis goldeneye >>> james bond : wtf is another bond title??? if nintendo want to sell, they need to 'keep it simple, stupid!' so that they can attract the 'family audience'. online play will be the big seller for this title, and for most of the multiplayer games.hmm. im looking forward to it a lot more than i was 5minutes ago. thanks for letting me have this rant! cant wait to flog some of my friends at revo!
  21. back onto smash bros.... i think the recordable moves arent that good an idea... does nintendo REALLY need to make the game original? there wasnt too much difference between the n64 and the ngc versions, but it was enough to make melee the most played game on my system. i think new levels, character moves and the online cababilities will be enough to make the next smash brothers a blast! im not big when it comes to programming of games and such, but of late we have heard a couple of things about smash brothers revolution 1) they are only JUST calling in programmers 2) it is supposed to be a revolution release title 3) it has been highly suggested at a mid year release of the revolution. We know that the code for the ngc and the revolution are the same, so i think its plausible that the next one will play very much the same as melee, and this is not a bad thing!!!!! i think waving a controller at the screen would ruin a smash brothers game! but thats just me... im over the whole revo-controller thing. the online play will be the best thing for sure. i will post my code (or whatever they are doing for revo) and show you guys how to really play smash brothers. me and my brother make it look like a lost art... ahh good times. ps. novelty is spelled right, and strategical looks reasonable.
  22. possibly the other way around. what he thought would be SA3 was actually shadow the hedgehog.
  23. either naruto or full metal alchemist would be superb.
  24. or maybe australia will get it first... ha. yeah right. anyway, im inclined to think mid 2006.
  25. yeah. id rate it in top 10. easily. my hardest boss would be the super bosses. ie. the one with the doom items and also that skeleton fellow that pops up rarely. great game. i wanna play again soon.
