marcel Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 hey, the composite cables are packed in with the wii but most of you are going to buy component or rgb scarts so i posted some packeches of wii products. the first picture is from the component cables. next up is the RGB scart cable: the classic style controller The Wiimote: and last the nunchuck:
fatnickc Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Cool. They look quite nice, especially since you can actually see what you are buying instead of just the box with the GameCube. I'll be getting the RGB cable.
evad_lhorg Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 tell me something.... whats the best cable for the best picture quality on a standard tv. I have an rgb for my cube but is that better than the others?
martinist Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 i just use composit cables for everything (those red, yellow and white wires) gasp....looks interesting.
rokhed00 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 tell me something.... whats the best cable for the best picture quality on a standard tv. I have an rgb for my cube but is that better than the others? SDTV and you'll probably be fine with the boxed composite cable. You only need the component if you've got HDTV really.
Dark Wolf Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 If you've got an SDTV (like me) you will want to go for the RGB cables. It makes it a lot more clearer.
evad_lhorg Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 i have an rgb scart socket on the back of my 21" sony if thats what you mean.....?
Kurtle Squad Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Might pic up that SCART then.... No price???
Emasher Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 i'm fine with the cables in the box on my sdtv can the wii still hook up to a computer monitor
Kurtle Squad Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 i'm fine with the cables in the box on my sdtv can the wii still hook up to a computer monitor No!!!!!!!!
Cube Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 From the look of the top, those must the the European packages. Much nicer than the US packages. (as seen in the "opening the Wii" things). can the wii still hook up to a computer monitor The cable for that is only available at launch in Japan. No news about when it will reach other places. This seems to be the cable
Din Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 They look nice! I'll just stick with the composite cable because I have no room for a RGB scart at the back of my tv (they're been used and I can't be bothered to keep switching them everytime I want to watch a DVD/play a game etc.).
AshMat Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 US are nicer, but we get the easy to open packaging.
antster1983 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 We love the easy packaging It looks like it's an RGB cable for me
Zell Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I'll be getting the RGB. Still hate that classic controller though...
dabookerman Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 From the look of the top, those must the the European packages. Much nicer than the US packages. (as seen in the "opening the Wii" things). The cable for that is only available at launch in Japan. No news about when it will reach other places. This seems to be the cable That is D-terminal. Vga or dvi is what you want. I want an s-video.
Cube Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 That is D-terminal. Wasn't sure if "D-Terminal" was what the Japanese call the "PC Lead" (as NGamer called it)
KingOfHyrule Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 The component cable looks beautiful, can't wait to fire her up with my HDTV. I refuse to use those composite bastards, they're soul destroyingly bad news for a HDTV.
Cube Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 The component cable looks beautiful, can't wait to fire her up with my HDTV. I refuse to use those composite bastards, they're soul destroyingly bad news for a HDTV. It could be worse. A company who brags about High Definition could put composite in the box with the console...oh, wai.... Still....I need a TV.
conzer16 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 US are nicer, but we get the easy to open packaging. Have you got the links or pics of the US pakaging? I dont think Ive seen them!
KingOfHyrule Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I saw the Wii running in 480p in Dublin at the weekend, and as much as it was pretty, in my opinion it's just about scraping acceptable visuals compared to today's standards, so I wouldn't want to see the Wii in standard definition on a good TV, especially after seeing Gears Of War on the Xbox360 in 720p -- sweet JESUS.
Djstawberryjam Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 God i could not stand running my cube on standard cables, the colours bled like hell, anoyed me so much, so i cash in ages ago for a rgb cable, my god, it was amazing, even not 8 months later i love it, im gona have to pick up the rgb cables so important, plug don't have the cash to swag around for a HDTV if only, *sigh* 24 days guys! (well 23 in 40 so mins heh) and yes that packaging is just buififull!
... Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Will the USB adapter for Wi-Fi be available in stores this time? I'll be needing one of those if I want to purchase VC games or kick your asses online. :p At least let it be on Amazon...
