Charlie Posted September 25, 2006 Author Posted September 25, 2006 which one is that Moria?Union St? I'm pondering over who to pre-order with, Game, Gamestation or G-Force would prefer to go with G-Force since I speak to the guys in there a fair bit, but they don't do the same sort of bundles being an independent store, although they do the games cheaper for the most part. I'll prob end up going with Game like I did for the GC It's actually the Gamestation in Stirling, as this one is doing it (it's a very small store) I would be very suprised if one of the Glasgow ones wasn't.
Pyxis Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 "Quick question, when preordering from gameplay they dont charge your credit card before shipping the item right?" Yeah, you'll only get charged the full amount once the goods have been despatched. As its a console, it will go via next working day courier delivery, so you will most likely get charged a day before release...possibly the night before the day before:) "Do you know about time Pyxis?" It depends on their mood I guess;) It was supposed to be up for pre-order at around 11am yesterday.
Charlie Posted September 26, 2006 Author Posted September 26, 2006 Please be within the next 5 minutes Gameplay!
Stocka Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Where did Pyxis get this information from again?
Smowza Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Gameplay's game prices are the things i'm really interested in, they tend to be the cheapest around for new releases... also i want to know what accesories are available like component cable etc
Nintenchris Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Where did Pyxis get this information from again? Pyxis is a king... he works for Gameplay and has helped me out via there Live Chat many times!
conzer16 Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Game (Ireland) are taking pre-orders of €20 from Sunday (2 days ago). Im going to have to do it soon
Stocka Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Looks like i'll be preordering tommorow instead then [assuming Pyxis is telling the truth]
Jav_NE Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I got mine on the HMV website, they were taking orders prety much as soon as it was announced i think? I did mine late last week anyway.
Pyxis Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 ouch..the games are expensive.... it will go live any minute now i think.
wooks63 Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 ouch..the games are expensive.... it will go live any minute now i think. How much is ouch ? Also Gameplay preorders still aren't live yet.
Nintenchris Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 There £39.99 each... but i was expecting that anyway!
wooks63 Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 There £39.99 each... but i was expecting that anyway! That's not too bad. At least they're not £50
Nintenchris Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 *cough* http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/release_calendar.asp?platform=WII&themonth=12&theyear=2006&radar_show=1 *cough* Ermm yeah i didnt tell you that!
Teppo Holmqvist Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Ermm yeah i didnt tell you that! This happens always in launch. Gamestores just decide to get bigger profit margin from each sold game. Fucking annoying, but nothing new. EDIT: You can also notice that most prices are release dates are just placeholders.
Phube Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 There £39.99 each... but i was expecting that anyway! What happened to the £34.99 - £39.99 bit!!!???
Owen Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Looks really odd seeing that on Gameplay...(superb-odd, obviously) Finally the Wii stuff is there! A happy day! EDIT: The dates are a little incorrect aren't they?
Nintenchris Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 OUCH Ive orderd, Zelda, RedSteel, Rayman, Monkey ball and Wii play with a Wii console and Wii sports obviously! £384.93 ahhh there must be happy people at Gameplay... stealin all my hard earned moola Im headin into town on Wii day to pick up a classic controler and some Wii points as i get paid on that day and will have the extra cash!
Sprout Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 It seems I now have around £550 of Wii related stuff in my basket. I think I may have gone a bit overboard here...
Smiter Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 The only bad thing is that the Wiimote and nunchuck is more expensive than Play.com (so far). I already placed the preorders on Gameplay, if they go through, then I'll cancel all my Play.com preorders asides from the extra Wiimote and nunchuck. Excite Truck isn't a launch title (according to Gameplay), but at least it should come within the first few months! With courier delivery and the early preorder, I should be assured of a knock on my door come launch day. EDIT: LOL, ouch! I only spent £280 (inc. delivery) on Wii, Zelda, 2000 VC points, and Rayman. The extra Wiimote/nunchuck from Play will be £38, so that's... £318 in total. Might order another Wiimote. £550! Bloody hell... You really went to town, eh, Sprout?
Owen Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 mmmmm looks like Gameplay have found out what people are doing! Theres a technical problem every time you put something in the basket etc...
Nintenchris Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Well the Wii console seems to have dissapeared!
