Yoshiking Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 Here are some drawings I did a year ago (and one I did just yesterday). Just thought I'd post them here, some people might enjoy them. Some of it is quite crap though, and bear in mind that I drew all this with no references or pictures to look at whatsoever. First one I did (SMW inspired): Second one I did (YT&G/SMW2 inspired): Third one I did (SM64 inspired (Yeah, I know Bowser has 2 left hands)): Final one I did, just did it yesterday. Very SMRPG inspired (in my opinion the best one, maybe 'cause I love SMRPG so much): That's all. Feedback/constructive critisism would be appreciated. I spent quite some time on these (I'm a very slow drawer). I might do some more in the future, if I do I'll post them here (the next one will probably be inspired by M&L: Partners in Time, as that's an excellent game).
laura_inthesky Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 looks like u had a lot of fun with those drawings, altho since wen did yoshi have hair!?
Yoshiking Posted July 21, 2006 Author Posted July 21, 2006 Yeah, that's like a Yoshi version of myself. Except my hair is longer now. EDIT: And that blonde haired one is a Yoshi version of someone else I know.
demonmike04 Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 looks like u had a lot of fun with those drawings, altho since wen did yoshi have hair!? I was thinking that too, if he had more muscles he'd look like a very strong hunky swede.
dabookerman Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 Oh god, someones about to get raped hardcore in the last pic.
The3rdChildren Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 I like your artwork, and it's great to see someone going old-school with coloured pencils.
Shorty Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 I like your style, very unique. Do we really need 56k warnings anymore though? Let's have everyone share some drawings Er, everyone except me.
Yoshiking Posted July 21, 2006 Author Posted July 21, 2006 I dunno, I'm always surprised at the amount of people who are still on dialup and god knows what, so I tend to put a warning. And yeah, feel free to share your own drawings/doodles.

Yeh i've noticed that too, any body that actually requires that warning should stop living in the 90's.
The Bard Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 I think I'll go ahead and post some of mine (which are mostly unfinished since I'm a lazy fucker) but here ya'are. This is a drawing of Goku I did in physics class about 3 years ago:
Yoshiking Posted July 21, 2006 Author Posted July 21, 2006 That's my opinion aswell.. I just saw it on some other topics here. Does it really matter in any case?
The Bard Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 Heres another one of The Amber Spyglass, which is unfinished, because I got bored.
Shino Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 It's not as original as your's, if anything it's trendwhoring. I've already posted this, but I'm so proud of it :p
The Bard Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 This is a drawing I did of my mate joe (who stole my N64, the bastard ): The quality of these last 2 pics has been a bit shite. Edit: Yo shino, that's really cool, what did you use to apply the colour?
Shino Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Edit: Yo shino, that's really cool, what did you use to apply the colour? Thanks, I only used photoshop.
The3rdChildren Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 I spent all evening working on this. I hope you all like it.
The Bard Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Thanks, I only used photoshop. Ah cool, never used photoshop, I think I may have to get it.
Shino Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 I spent all evening working on this. I hope you all like it. LoL, can we consider that the latest update in Woosel?
The3rdChildren Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 LoL, can we consider that the latest update in Woosel? The latest and probably the last.
Eenuh Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 There's some really nice stuff in here. And it's cool to see that people still actually use pencils and the like. I myself have recently been quite guilty of not using them much (well, recently being the last year or longer). I've mostly switched to digital, but I do still have some traditional pieces around (and seeing as that's what's being posted here mostly, I'll stick to that I guess). Acrylics painting that I had to do for school (theme I picked was native Americans); referenced from a small picture in some book. A sketch I did when I was bored at night working for school (weird, since then you should be busy right?). Just needed something else to do for a bit so I googled up a pic of Padmé and made my own version of it, sort of. Not sure it looks much like her though.
Eenuh Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Eenuh - your pictures arent showing up for me Yeah I figured, so I just uploaded them somewhere else. Sorry.
