The only thing I don't like is that every page you visit goes through google.

Exactly, this is a HUGE privacy problem, don't they control enough already?

I tried it long ago, never saw a difference.
The web accelerator isn't worth the time, it rapes your internet connection, and slows it down alot.

now im glad i didnt download it, for these reasons, and the privacy...

i dont know if imma install that, just because of the personal information stuff...

I was all set to install it but when that privacy agreement flashed up, I just x'ed out of it. No way are they getting personal information from me. No way.

Not google, but other entities may be interested in doing "business" with google.

Because Google is always interested in shady deals, that's why everyone trusts them :p

Before you assume Google are telling your Mother that you download porn, or whatever it is you're worried about, you should read their Privacy Policy, remind yourself of the Data Protection Act 1984 and remember that Google has a market capitalisation of $83.09 Billion, without having to steal the £6.84 in your Natwest student account.

Ouch! I dont divulge my private details to whoever or whatever company unless I need to.

(there's an awful lot more than £6.84 in my bank account, and tbh I'm a bit too old for someone to go squealing to my mother about me)

i'm pretty sure what you have in your bank account is insignificant to whatever google has in theirs :P

And anyways, they have some of the strictest rules about privacy of the user...

IT's not the fact that they need, it that they can!

Just because they can doesn't mean they will...

You know, Google was the only "proper" search engine that did not give any information to the US government when they wanted it.
