Dante Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 New scans One Two Three Edit by Moria - You don't need to put in the inverted commas in vBulletin
Goron_3 Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Never got round to playing the first two but will definately be playing this! There's a darts mini-game...im so happy
Atomic Boo Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 even better images here: http://media.wii.ign.com/media/824/824977/imgs_1.html
mcj metroid Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 If monkey target and monkey race aren't included then i'm not getting this. All the mini games so far look stupid except the ufo shooter:D
James McGeachie Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 I dont get why you dont hold the controller on its side in this game like the other "tilt" games it'd make more sense to me. Still looks really fun though.
Helmsly Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 I posted this video in the Wii Discusion thread but its relevant here too: http://www.jeuxvideo.tv/super-monkey-ball-banana-blitz-video-24337.html
Josh64 Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 I cant wait for this, it looks really good, i loved both other monkey ball games on the cube and hope that they get the controls right. Im looking forward to the new minigames, please say monkey target is going to be one, that totally ROCKED!
solitanze Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 New images. ?? Is this guy sitting on some sort of invisible chair or is crouching rather low? Are we going to see people using the Wiimote in every single screenshot that ever releases? I would think so... On a side note, the game is looking to be quite fun, I just hope they sort out the sensetivity control issues though... I don't want to see this game getting 7/10 due to poor control.
Patch Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I dont get why you dont hold the controller on its side in this game like the other "tilt" games it'd make more sense to me. Still looks really fun though. Totally agree. From what I've heard of the control scheme, you tilt the controller up or down to tilt the horizon up or down and you tilt the controller left and right to tilt the board left and right. If this is the case, you could fix a plank perpendicular to the length of the controller and use this as you described instead! I am hoping for multiple control schemes. Actually I would love an option to just use the traditional analog stick only.
Patch Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Update Instead of the advertised Metroid exclusive, NGamer magazine instead got their grubbly little mits on the wondrous Super Monkey Ball! And they like it. It sounds ridiculously big too. 300 stages (internally, they are called 'trays') and loads of minigames. So many in fact, that they will be removing a lot of them before the game is released! Anyway, this may just be yet another launch game I have been tempted to buy. :awesome:
McMad Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 .where is monkey race and monkey target? Monkey Target is actually in the right side of the second scan of the magazine, and i'm not entirely sure if I can see Monkey Race. If there was a third game at launch I was going to get, this is definately it.
Hellfire Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 I dont know if this has been said, but, Matt said he'd cover 50 minigames! That's a while lot of minigames.

Can someone solve the mystery of the man with no chair?? Is he just crouching quite far down, is there a white chair that almost is invisible due to the background or is he just exercising his genitalia while rolling a ball on screen?
Patch Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Can someone solve the mystery of the man with no chair?? The butler did it. It's simply more interesting to look at a guy twisting his body (er...) than a guy standing straight up like a pencil with his arms by his sides.
Funktion Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 I've been watching the new videos at IGN and the game for me has gone from "wait and see" to "must buy as soon as it's released". Those mini-games look extremely fun to play...
Stocka Posted September 15, 2006 Author Posted September 15, 2006 Possible US boxart [Posted at EBGames] Damn fine!
dukegaliz Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 No "only for"? 100% official with all box art? I prefer it without it personally, but just asking as part of conversation.
