I'm sure that at one point in the conference Iwata says something like "when a serious gamer plays these games..." but due to his accent, he says "when Seriousgamer plays these games..." and it gets a bit of a laugh :) Ah, god bless the internet.

Cheers Scorp, i'm glad someone read and agreed with some of my (long) opinion.

I also agree with Scorp "you can't really compare those titles with Mario/Halo/MGS/Tekken/GTA"...Project Hammer and Disaster looked, ok? They weren't bad but neither look like games i'd either consider buying.

Stop all being so optimistic. Fact is that the conference was crap. It showed nothing really new and the games shown we either knew about, were expecting, or didn't really matter.

Nintendo, you're getting boring...Who saw the new MGS or FF on PS3? Have to say; they looked mint. Won't we be having fun hitting golf balls, and...Did i see a horse riding game in the conference!? Yeh!!!...The games basically looked like an extended version of the DS demos at E3 in 2004; gimmicky and shallow.

I've not bought a DS. First new Nintendo console i've not had...I can't understand the concept; two sides of buttons, with one stylus. I don't have 3 hands?? I played the Mario64 port and thought it was awful. I've not been impressed with one game on the system and besides being happy for its great success, cannot understand why. PSP is a better system in all aspects but i won't buy one because i am loyal to Nintendo.

Fact is: They said N64 wouldn't fail, it did. They said Gamecube wouldn't fail; it did. Just see the light yeh.

Disaster looked great and I cant wait to see more of it. Project hammer looks like a good anger release game, especially with the wiimote. Apologies if you arent WiredChild, but you sound like a Sony fanboy who is tryng to demoralise us.

There was nothing outstanding out there today, bar Twilight Princess, which is essentially a GameCube title, and WiiSports, which looks like a lot of fun. Whether I can get real meat from the Wii remains to be seen.

how can u say Disaster looked great? it was only CGI for about 3 seconds. Project hammer looked like some kinda third party title which ull find in the bargains corner.

You use the stylus (or more commonly the thumbstrap for Mario) to move and the buttons to do the actions, don't need to use the stylus and analogue stick. Or just change the controls to analogue only.

You don't use all of them at the same time. It's just another form of input that can be used. Do you use all the buttons, joysticks and d-pad on a ps2 controller at the same time?

I played the Mario64 port and thought it was awful. I've not been impressed with one game on the system and besides being happy for its great success, cannot understand why.

Wow. Well enjoy.

That's the most idiotic reason for not buying somthing I have ever heard.

What do want them to say, "Yes this is our new console but don't bother buying it since it will fail to capture the mass market"? Also I hardly call either of them "failures" they both MADE money.

Yes there are.I thought the conference was amazing. How many times has it been said 'Don't get your hopes up'.Oh well moan if you must but it was still good.

I think hear Sony-fanboys on here somwhere...

not at all. I'm a huge Nintendo fan, I just dont want them to fail. I want them to have the best system for the next couple of years. But I expected so much more, I can't understand how most of you are not dissapointed? No Smash Brothers?? Miyamoto said this would be one of the first titles for Wii..

Disaster may have been cg but as a concept it has a lot of potential! The project hammer game maybe a bit …..poor but ill give it time and hold judgment until I know more about it.

...God; grow up. It's so ridiculous how you can't say a bad word against NIntendo without being a "sony fanboy". If you'd have read any of my points, which were backed up sufficiently in my previous post...You'd have also read that i've been with NIntendo since day 1, i bought a NES with SMB near it's release and loved it. But i'm tired of the crap...I'm bored of the ridiculous optimism. Regardless, why does it matter how much i love NIntendo. Fact is, as Haver said:

...Hack it mate; it's true. It was a crap performance from Nintendo and i'm as sad as the next "Nintendo fanboy", if that's what you still call people like me who won't look at everything through rose coloured specticles.

...Honestly, i bet you're the kind of person who coined the classic term "Gaystation".

Yes Nintendo you're getting boring trying to give us a new way to play games (Which btw you haven't even purchased a DS). Also Ninty what's with all these games that we knew you were going to show. You know, Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo and Final Fantasy.. Oh wait a minute that wasn't Ninty.

I find it highly hypercritical (SP?) of you to state Ninty is boring yet in the same line tell us how great sequels to PS2 games are. And there wasn't even real game footage of MGS.

I really wish some people read what they typed instead of just pushing the buttons and hoping for a credibly sentence.

Yes, cause Final fantasy, Prime, Zelda and Mario won't all be enough to keep me busy until it's release. Oh noes, sob ect.

Ok:

A: You're as bad as some of my mates, you use one hand for ONE SIDE of the buttons, and the other for either the stylus, or the other set of buttons. Not all 3.

B: You're basing this on a release day port? What are you dumb?

C: N64 did not fail, if it failed so bad, we probably wouldn't be watching Wii demos right now.
