Patch Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 And why Nintendo believed in them to the point of handing them Metroid. Maybe while reviewing 'Action Adventure', they came across this picture and the penny dropped.
DCK Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 With their art team, they should be obliged to make an RPG.
Kurtle Squad Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 NO. SEX IS SO MUCH BETTER SILENT.METROID IS ABOUT BEING ALONE. IT WOULD RUIN THE ATMOSPHERE. Besides, wasn't she raised as an orphan by a alien species? Can't imagine she's fluent with the universal language English. It would ruin the authenticity if you ask me. She was 3, so she would have been able to speak simple English/Japanese/whatever. Plus the Chozo could speak her language anyway, so could teach her the more advnced stuff, whether or not she knows their language is unknown, if they had one of their own.
Tellyn Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 http://www.wii-x2.com/index.php?id=313 Nintendo Power states that Metroid Prime 3: Corruption will be released in Q4 2007 (Winter 2007). According to this scan taken from the latest Nintendo Power, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption will be released in late 2007, or Winter of 2007. Note that Nintendo Power is prone to making mistakes/typos and this could be another one of them.
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Online play being implemented and perhaps a change in controls? A fixed reticule where the screen moves with your hand?
ShadowV7 Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 They'll just say Q4 2007 cause they don't know an exact date.Better be online play.
Teppo Holmqvist Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 They'll just say Q4 2007 cause they don't know an exact date.Better be online play. By my understanding, they meant Q1 2007 with winter 2007 (I think that this was even corrected in Nintendo's own forums). After all, game is slated to be released before march by every official release list, even by latest one.
DCK Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 I wouldn't be surprised TBH. If they feel freedom because of the delay to 2007 they might want to add more, maybe even go online as a marketing gimmick.
Patch Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 I hope it is Q4 2007 for three reasons: 1) A delayed game is eventually good. But a bad game is bad forever. Um... 2) I'll have enough launch games to last me for at least 6 months. 3) I want a Super Pro Expert control method!
ShadowV7 Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 I'd be quite happy if it got delayed longer to add online and VOIP during matches. Least it's still at March time then. Can't wait to complete the trilogy.
mcj metroid Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Im getting wii when metroid comes out.Delayed or not delayed
Girly hiyaz!~ Gamer Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 no online please. no no no no no no no no no no.
gmanprime Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 no online please. no no no no no no no no no no. why not not not not not not not not not not not not not not not not not! Online was a blast on the ds. As long as single player is focused I have no problem with online.
Charlie Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Online play being implemented and perhaps a change in controls? A fixed reticule where the screen moves with your hand? Don't you think that there isn't a fixed reticule for a reason? No FPS have one, most likely because it would make you feel sick the screen moving backwards and forwards all the time as you can't hold you hand perfectly still for a long period of time.
Ren of Heavens Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 They sure meant THIS winter, not Q4. I believe it's out in March making it the big spring title for Nintendo. I doubt we will see Mario Galaxy and SSBB before the summer...
DCK Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 SSBB is definetively a Q4 title for next year, but I don't think Mario or Metroid should take that long. Nintendo can't fill up a year with only Excite Truck, Battallion Wars and Mario Smash Football to look forward to?
Kraser Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 SSBB is definetively a Q4 title for next year, but I don't think Mario or Metroid should take that long. Nintendo can't fill up a year with only Excite Truck, Battallion Wars and Mario Smash Football to look forward to? Think not! I have the same opinion! I think Metroid should go out at Q2 or Q3, at least! If not, i don't know how Nintendo will keeping the hype for Wii.
ShadowV7 Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Don't forger Fire Emblem Maybe Mario in March and Metroid in May or something.Who knows but they're will be a good amount of game nex year.
gorrit Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I hope they just use the time to perfect the singleplayer to the point where it will be as good or perhaps even better than Prime 1 (it's one of the best game this/last generation IMO) and that they perhaps later on releases a Metroid Prime Battles or something which would just focus on multiplayer (offline, online,LAN) and no singleplayer at all (just perhaps with bots or something).
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Don't you think that there isn't a fixed reticule for a reason? No FPS have one, most likely because it would make you feel sick the screen moving backwards and forwards all the time as you can't hold you hand perfectly still for a long period of time. Its simple. The screen doesnt move by itself until your pointing outside the "box". See?
gj15987 Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Oooh, i've just started listening to the soundtrack and I really wana play Metroid now! But I can't cus its at home and I'm at uni
Patch Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 A fixed reticule where the screen moves with your hand? Its simple. The screen doesnt move by itself until your pointing outside the "box". See? Make your mind up! Oh, and gj, I could listen to the Metroid soundtracks all day. I especially enjoy the Super Metroid and Metroid Prime soundtracks.
Charlie Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Its simple. The screen doesnt move by itself until your pointing outside the "box". See? I know how it works, I was explaining to you why it works that way and not with a fixed reticule in the center.
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Im suggesting that with a fixed reticule, the screen will move with the Wiimote, but when you point outside the "box" the screen will continue to move by itself. This will make it esay to have the screen stop moving again by pointing inside the "box", yet at the same time you will be able to move the screen about without it moving by itself. See? Sorry its hard to explain.
Mokong Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 but if teh reticule is fixed how do you aim at targets?
