Ollie Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 I just got the play and charge kit as I wanted to use my 360 controller on my pc, but it seems that you can't do it. You apparently have to have a wired controller, does anybody know if this is true?
Guest Jordan Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Totally true, the play and charge kit only gives power to the 360 wireless pad. It still sends its signal via wireless. You have to have a wired pad (like I do) or the Windows Wireless Multimedia Adapter, coming out in the Autumn.
Guest Stefkov Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 i have a wired (shitty) pad, can i erally use that to play games? what games could i play? like CS:S which i odnt have but was considering? so i wonder when that update is coming then....

The3rdChildren Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 The DVD playback has been improved immensely. DVDs that used to stutter a bit during vertical/horizontal moving scenes are now without probems, which is wonderful. Thank you, Microsoft. I no longer need to buy another DVD player. I will even consider your fabled HD DVD player add-on because you have pleased me so.
DiemetriX Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 I just installed XBMC360 It blowes the 360 dash away. The only thats missing is the HDTV signal. Lets hope the 360 becomes this good some time.
Domstercool Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Not tried DVD Playback yet, but as some people have said, the playback for me use to stutter and go out of sync with the action every so often. I actually started using my original Xbox instead of the 360 for DVD as it worked better. I'll give it a try on Saturday (Movie Night) and see how it is then. ^_^
Guest Stefkov Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 this website for me was down last night, dont know why, but i got the update. makes things so much better now, downloaded hitman demo and top spin 2 demo while playing kameo = great.
Tailzo Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 I'm tired of sending my xbox360 to repairs. This is the third time, with the same console. But microsoft gives me 2 free games this time though.
Tailzo Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 I could choose between: PGR3 Kameo and PDZ since I already have PGR3, I choose the last 2. But I didn't really want those either. Still, two free games isn't a bad thing.
rokhed00 Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 wow this update sure makes thing better Not if you need to recover your gamertag it doesn't. The updating of the servers has put a temporary stop on Live sign ups, which means it's also impossible to recover my gamertag.

Microsoft really isn't agreeing with you this generation, man. I say call them up and get some freebies for all this inconvenience.

I'm going to give them till teatime, if it's still not letting me recover my tag I'll be demanding some sort of compensation. If it wasn't bad enough I've had two 360s fuck up on me this is just the icing on the cake.

Most likely they'll let you choose 2 free games out of 3 possible like they did with me. I'm sending in my xbox360 for repairs for th third time now. Shit quality, or bad luck?

I know of other people who have had to return theirs at least twice and others who haven't had a probnlem from day one. Maybe a dodgy shipment or two?
