Julius Posted May 5 Author Posted May 5 Trent is officially leaving Liverpool. There's something really funny to me about not doing it after winning the league, and seemingly wanting to wait until the season is up – then just casually confirming it after losing to us
Happenstance Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Very much a shrug reaction from me. He could be great at times but also really frustrating. At this point I’d rather have someone more consistent.

His passing is amazing and he often provided our forwards with many opportunities. Conner Bradley is a good replacement for him though. Before he got injured he was looking amazing and a much more solid defender than what Trent has been.
nekunando Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Maybe it's the Northern Irish in me but I'm hoping Conor Bradley makes that position his own next season. We obviously need a replacement for Trent but I don't want someone to come in and restrict Bradley from getting the opportunity he has surely been waiting for and probably never could have expected!

Julius Posted May 6 Author Posted May 6 (edited) Some absolute bangers across the two legs, one of those which really makes you wonder why the away goals rule stuck around for so long. I'm really hoping Inter can go all the way in the final this year – and no, I'm not just saying that because they'll be facing either Qatar or the Arse team has had a special place in my heart since the PES days and Mou's stint there only further cemented it You can't say Inzaghi won't have deserved it at this point, either. He's done an absolutely astounding job in his time there and this would be the cherry on top! Edited May 6 by Julius
Hero-of-Time Posted Saturday at 04:13 PM Posted Saturday at 04:13 PM Crazy FA cup final so far. So many things that the VAR has got wrong. Not that I'm complaining. I want City to end up with nothing.
Happenstance Posted Saturday at 05:46 PM Posted Saturday at 05:46 PM Great win for Palace. Love the downfall of City this season 😜 1
killthenet Posted Saturday at 05:51 PM Posted Saturday at 05:51 PM As gutted as I was to lose to them in the semi final I'm delighted that Palace have gone on to win it. Loved how shocked Eze was in his interview, just in a complete daze 1
Hero-of-Time Posted Saturday at 05:55 PM Posted Saturday at 05:55 PM Absolutely ridiculous Pep kicking off with Henderson after the match. It wasn't his fault the VAR team didn't book him or send him off for the handball.
Happenstance Posted Saturday at 06:00 PM Posted Saturday at 06:00 PM I had earbuds in during, what happened to cause the medical staff to square up?

The only thing I can think of is that the City staff were annoyed that Palace hadn't just taken Guehi straight off when he got his head injury. Think they were just pissed off with the time wasting. 1 1
Julius Posted Monday at 09:00 AM Author Posted Monday at 09:00 AM Absolutely appalled, but not completely shocked, by the news the last few days that Gary Lineker is now expected to leave the BBC: And what for? For sharing a pro-Palestine clip which included a tiny clip art rat which he made the mistake of not knowing was included as a potential jab at the Jewish people in reference to how they were referred to by Nazis during the second World War. Which he then took down very quickly and apologised for at length for his lack of awareness. This ahead of his final Match of the Day appearance this coming weekend, which he will reportedly not be presenting, and he will also not be getting to present the World Cup next year, which was to be his final bow. I've got a lot of time for Lineker as someone who grew up on him hosting Match of the Day and virtually every major footballing event from my earliest years to now; he's synonymous for me with the very concept of a football show presenter. F1 highlights and Match of the Day re-runs of the Saturday night show made up many early Sunday mornings for me as a kid, obviously there were the Walkers ads, and watching him more and more on Saturday nights as I grew older only made me respect him as a presenter more. More importantly, and I'm not really one for politics in the sense that I think a lot of it is nonsense, as important as it is to be aware of it, but I think I'm in alignment with all of the views I've seen him express publicly, and it is a sham - not a shame, a sham - that speaking up on what's going on in Gaza has played out this way, but it seems like the BBC have been gunning for him for a while now and this is just an excuse to shut him down. Still though, I mean, how dare someone call out children dying, right? The BBC's commitment to "impartiality" has been a weakness of theirs for as long as I've been an adult, and probably going back to when I was an early teenager. But so the story goes 1 1
Hero-of-Time Posted Monday at 09:22 AM Posted Monday at 09:22 AM Yeah, I wasn't surprised to read this today. As you said, BBC have been looking for any excuse to get rid of him and this was their perfect opportunity.
Hero-of-Time Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago (edited) Harry Kane leaves Spurs to win a trophy, finally gets one, Spurs win one a couple of weeks later. Hilarious Apparently the final was awful. Kinda glad it wasnt free to watch. Edited 16 hours ago by Hero-of-Time 1

Hilarious Ironically, I think had he stayed, they'd both likely still be trophyless: Spurs probably would've finished in 4th last season instead of Villa thanks to Kane's goals (only 2 points adrift), they'd have then qualified for the UCL this season, and they probably would've then bowed out in the early stages of the UCL (earlier than Villa did, anyways, surely!) and finish mid-table at best in the league Very funny it took both of them another trophyless season to get their hands on one, old habits die hard and all that. Funnier yet is Spurs managing it while being very fortunate that they didn't find themselves in a relegation battle
Hero-of-Time Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago That's absolutely insane. I wonder if he will be still at Man U come the start of the next season.
bob Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I don't think I'll ever get tired of Man Utd being shit. Dazzybee must be absolutely delighted. Bit sad that he and Ramar aren't still on here (plus other Arsenal fans).
