Choze Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Move over Firefox. http://www.opera.com Mobile phone version is still pay. Oh and existing users should update.
GoonFace Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Might consider downloading this, but I am already happy with Firefox, so I probably won't.
RoadKill Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 I've got Opera on my phone and it's free. What the.. ?
Sarka Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Opera is 100x better than Firefox imo. I love it so much!
RoadKill Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 I'll never never leave you SlimBrowser (unless I have any significant issues).
Ramar Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 I use Opera, I got it free when they were doing their 10th birthday give away. I love it, way better than IE.

Shorty Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Opera not being free was never the issue with me... there's... ways around that. I just prefer firefox for other reasons :P
DaOne Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 I love Opera! i find it so much better than firefox, firefox never used to like my laptop hibernating, when it woke up firefox would hog the CPU 100% and crash... opera doesn't and is actually a faster browser. I really am very pleased. Regards, Joe.
Shmotz Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Opera looks pretty sleek. I got the free code on the 10th Anniversary and upgraded to 8.5 today. Its all good 8-)
DaOne Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Sorry, this is totally off topc but hey Schmotz! U used to work for my old website! alternative-gamer.co.uk! Anyways, on topic.. opera rules all! I havent upgraded to 8.5 yet though, any big changes? Regards, Joe.
Choze Posted September 21, 2005 Author Posted September 21, 2005 always upgrade to the latest. Afew fixes here and there.
Haver Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Opera not being free was never the issue with me... there's... ways around that. I just prefer firefox for other reasons :P Word. (Word.)
Dieter Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Word. (Word.) Microsoft Word is an awful browser. I love it, way better than IE. That's not saying much
Mr_Odwin Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Microsoft Word is an awful browser. Ladies and gentlemen, the Belgian sense of humour is alive and well. 1
Cube Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 i tried opera when they were giving it away for free. Witout an easy to use adblock plugin, its not worth bothering with.
Charlie Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Been using it since their 10th birthday and I'm loving. Built-in Mail, IRC and torrent clients are awesome
Joethesmoe Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 But it's crazy... it's all... weird.. The tab bar is under the navigation buttons.. crazy.. It's crazy! But apart from that, there's no thumbnail tabs, so it's a massive step down from Safari with Safaristand, or Omniweb. It is now at least my 5th browser of choice though.

The only thing I use Safari for is the "private browsing" (aka Porn mode). It doesn't store cookies, the sites you've been on or anything. I wish Opera had something like that in it.
