I really don't. I skip every cutscene and look at my second monitor while my birdy takes me to the objective  

But even if they keep some kind of narrative, it shouldn't be difficult to make it seamless in co-op. Other games have done it before.

Yeah as said above, I've no idea why there can't be some sort of seamless coop, apart from maybe some difficulty in synchronising story progress between multiple accounts. But even outside that in party link, it's unnecessarily cumbersome bring kicked back into your own instance, instead of just being able to go on successive hunts or investigations with your teammates.

 

Either way, I've spent like 90 hours in the game already. Maxed out G.Ark armour and level 8 Artian weapons. Any other glaive players here? What are your builds looking like? I've been trying out the flayer skill and it seems like it isn't working properly.

Yeah, I read that the level 2 version of the ability is the far stronger than the ones above it. Very weird. I've been rocking it on my Talisman. It maxed out level 2 and so it worked out perfectly.

I’m at early High Rank and I’ve finally created an Armour Set after going through Low Rank with Leather Armour at base level, for the added challenge.

For now I’m only crafting the one armour set, so I’ve gone for quality of life skills that can be used on a number of weapons.

Rathalos Helm B, Dober Mail A, Rathalos Vambraces B, Dober Coil A, Rathalos Greaves B.

With a few Gems I’ve managed to get:

Constitution lvl 5

Evade Window lvl 5

Stamina Surge lvl 3

Marathon Runner lvl 3

Divine Blessing lvl 3

Stun Resistance lvl 3

Maximum Might lvl 3

The Set is great for stamina heavy weapons and with some great Weapon Gems too I’ve got some amazing skills for my Lance, Bow, Dual Blades & Charge Blade.

I’ll be crafting a Hunting Horn and Hammer next!

Yeah stamina surge is pretty much essential if you're running daggers or bow especially. I can't run charge blade without handicraft either because for some reason sharpness goes down so fast on that weapon. 

 

The other set I'm running apart from Guardian Arkveld is 2 piece G. Odogaron, 2 piece normal Arkveld, and Gore Magala greaves. Great mix of WEX and Surge, probably the two most useful dps attributes in the game right now until they release master rank armour sets with more deco slots. 

 

I can't get over how much they've improved glaive though. It was already my favourite weapon but rising slash + full kinsect extract gain from destroying wounds is just so fun.

Been playing this quite a lot with two mates these past few days.
We're having a blast. Mostly because one of our mates is pretty bad and we're just having a laugh  

We beat the story and now it's time to farm for gear and decorations and then complete all the optional quests we haven't done, yet

Looks like I'll never get Rusted Devices with Blast and Attack Infusion. I don't know how many hunts I've already completed...I always get the ones I don't need.  

As soon as Artian weapons become obsolete, I'll get 100 of them. I'd bet on that

Yeah it does. I hope it's more than just one new monster and some layered armour though. Guess the game came out less than a month ago though so it'll probably be a while before a more generously sized content drop.

Whole lot of nothing for me. I was holding off trading it in to see if anything decent would drop. A trip to CEX could be on the cards.

The long awaited monster is rumoured to be Lagi.

A trade-in a month after release… I never thought I’d see the day that Hero hangs up his hunting greaves so quickly!

I never thought I could finish and platinum a Monster Hunter game in a week but here we are.  

It's too easy, hands out drops at a stupidly fast pace and has very little content.

47 hours in, still going strong  

I'm just playing quests with my mates or joining SOS requests. Thinking about switching things up and using a different weapon. Not sure which one, though.
Might go with Insect Glaive. It's the first weapon I used when I played my first MH game (World)  

Anyways, passed the HR100 mark and I'm having a blast!
