Glen-i Posted April 20, 2019 Posted April 20, 2019 Yeah, @Ike I wasn't even remotely honourable in that Bayo Sudden Death. You deserved that win. 1
RedShell Posted April 20, 2019 Posted April 20, 2019 I guess that's my cue to leave. Cheers though guys, that was EPIC! 1

Think I got everything on vid tonight (hopefully my capture card didn't play up) will see about some highlights. 1
BowserBasher Posted April 20, 2019 Posted April 20, 2019 Great games again. That portal to the square of death level was hilarious. At least I won one, can’t believe it was with Little Mac. 2
RedShell Posted April 20, 2019 Posted April 20, 2019 Going into custom stages blind online is so much fun, as a player and a spectator. I love figuring out a stage I've not played before, and it's also really fun to see how other players react to mine. Especially when they've got little secrets, like the hidden area in the Pikmin stage, and how to get into Snake's cardboard box. BTW, did you like the Easter egg inside that one? Originally it was going to be more faithful to the ones you find in Metal Gear, but I was worried It might get reported, so toned it right down.

I should try my more artistic side with stage builder, seeing as @Dcubed has a capacitive stylus and all. You made the right choice with the picture, last thing I want is your stages getting taken down. 1

I see there are ones with thinner tips that look more like standard pencils now though, any idea if that type also work on the Switch touch screen? Might have to invest in one if so.

Those aren't standard capacitive styli, but instead they are called an "Active Stylus". They require a device that has a special screen that has a digitiser underneath it and also require their own bluetooth connection and battery power. They allow for the incredible level of accuracy you get from a resistive touch screen, on a capacitive one. They are also pressure sensitive and can also distinguish between your hand and the stylus, allowing you to rest your hand on the actual screen itself and it won't interfere with drawing! It's the number 1 thing I want from a new version of Switch! They're amazing! They solve every problem I have with capacitive screens; unfortuntely, they're still quite expensive (and devices that support them are also very expensive). Edited April 21, 2019 by Dcubed 1

Maybe I should just get all of the stages you guys have made. Is there a way to search by friends (or person) I’m sure I read you could.

Glen-i Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 (edited) Tonight's Smash session will be Stock matches. 9:30, see ya there. Remember that from now on, I'm setting the stage select as Choice, so if you choose Random, remember that it matters what stage tab you select random on, Normal or Custom. EDIT: There's a small update, BTW. It fixes the bug that could softlock the game during Joker's Classic Route. So make some time to download that. Edited April 25, 2019 by Glen-i 1
RedShell Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Thanks, @Glen-i and @BowserBasher, that was just hilarious! Crying my eyes out here, so it’s hard to keep them open. Man, I love this game. 1
BowserBasher Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 (edited) Thanks for the games @RedShell and @Glen-i some hilarious fights and then some good actual fights too. Got a few replays saved so hopefully will get a few replays up. @Glen-i midnight is usually gonna be time for me to leave when I have work the next morning. Unless the going is good and still lots in I’ll stick around. Oh that level that was stairs with the guy that fell down and you two got stuck inbetween him. I couldn’t stop laughing. BowserBasher Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 Just a small test KO compilation using the editor from Thursdays games. 2
RedShell Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 It's such a shame videos from custom stages can't be used in the editing tool. Doesn't make sense either as you'd still be working with an actual video file, just like the rest of the converted replays. Wonder what the thinking was behind that decision. 1

I know that sucks as I think we’ll be playing more on them than the normal stages. Oh well. I’ll just have to get them off the SD card and put them on the computer to edit them there.
