Does the wii u have Motion controls?, i don't have my old wii controllers

[

Not Used Motion Controls Before,so not liking this theme, bad enough trying not to be last anyway, so unless you change it I'm going to have to pass this week, sorry

So yeah, be sure to blame those guys if you don't like it.

Basically, the idea here is that we (as in those of us that normally play using traditional controls) are going to use motion controls, while Glen-i (who always uses motion controls, in case you weren't aware :heh:) is going to use traditional.

I suggested a similar theme way back in the early days of the league, but it didn't go down so well with some of the people that used traditional controls. :hehe: So with that in mind, it is not compulsory to use them in this theme. However I will be, and I hope everyone else will too for a laugh. This is just a one-off, so you might as well. :)

: peace:

The IN! list:

  1. The Mole
  2. Kounan
  3. punio75
  4. Brian58
  5. BowserBasher
  6. Bullet Will
  7. RedShell
  8. Wii
  9. Glen-i
  10. Dcubed
  11. Nicktendo

Who else is IN?

*EDIT*

BTW, remember to set the copy of that Mii to be a favourite in the Mii Maker, otherwise it might not show up in MK8.

Yes, you can use either the Gamepad's Gyro controls (turn it on via the pause menu) or you can use a Wii Remote (with or without the Wii Wheel).

Unfortunately the theme did not work out as planned but still an enjoyable night with some good moments. Still salty about that bomb @RedShell :P

Just watched the video.

Seriously, @RedShell, that might just be the most evil, cold-hearted thing I've ever seen you do.

Nice job!

Hehehe! What can I say, I crave chaos. Way more than actually winning. :D

Had I not dropped that bomb I almost certainly would've won that race, and I knew that at the time, but the urge to create mayhem while playing Mario Kart pretty much always gets the better of me. :hehe:

OK will give it a go, thanks

Thanks for the updated list. Should be fun, used to play with motion controls so hopefully won't phase me as much

OK, @Glen\-i, now you see why I was a bit reluctant about the motion control theme, even making it optional wasn't enough. :heh:

Wusses, the bunch of ya!

You need to take a leaf from Wii Fit Trainer's book and be more flexible!

I can't decide between using the WiiU controller or the Wiimote and wheel. Wiimote is lighter but I can't get used to the cottons for firing items.

WiiU controller is a bit heavy when using motion control and giving me hand cramps.

I forgot there was a choice... Ooh decisions!

Final heads-up, if you're going to use the gamepad's gyro controls, make sure the motion controls are actually on. You can do this on the pause menu or on the gamepad's screen.

Also, don't forget to scan the QR code Mii, rename it so we can tell who you are and mark it as a favourite.

You can always delete it afterwards.

Sold, make sure you download the mii and put motion controls on :yay:

Done! Mii scanned, renamed and favourited...

How do I turn on motion controls? :hmm:

I'm not even joking, I only ever use the pro controller. :p

If you're using the Gamepad, start a single player race and pause the game.

You should be able to touch an icon of a Gamepad with arrows surrounding it.

If you're using the Wii Wheel. Just use that on the title screen.

If you're using the Gamepad's motion controls, you do so from the pause menu while playing.

If you're using the Wiimote on its own? Well... it's already on!

OK, thanks :) all good to go... aside from... can we use Mii outfits while racing? :D

It's OK, I think I'm going to anyway, I'll be using one where you can still see... most of the Mii face. ;)
