rokhed00 Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I also love his new powers. What new powers?
AshMat Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 That suit sucks tbh. I couldn't imagine Tobey Maguire wearing that in the next movie either.
JGonspy Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 What new powers? Well, there's night vision, enhanced speed, his entire body is sticky, he can feel vibrations through his web, his hair can feel where a breeze is coming from, his spider sense can pick up spider related problems, and he has two giant talons that can come out of his wrists, the same place where the webbing does. I personally think most of them are useless then stupid, except the talons of course which just suck.
Hellfire Posted January 30, 2006 Author Posted January 30, 2006 He's basically stronger, more agile and more sensible. He's more like a spider now. And there's those talons JGon mentioned.
rokhed00 Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 more sensible. He's more like a spider now. More sensible, like a spider? Spiders are hardly known for being sensible, what with their uncanny knack of getting trapped in the bath.
AshMat Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 And running straight across the living room floor, past the cat and the 2 year old child
Happenstance Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Right heres one of the latest pictures which has just added to my hatred of the "New Spider-Man".....Seems he can now fly!
Ashley Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Maybe he's just falling, with style. (Spot the pop culture reference)
DiemetriX Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Flying is not that hard to do. Just throw yourself at the ground and miss...
Kav Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 He's not flying, he's using the webbing between his arms and body to gain lift and change direction and glide (very briefly)!
Dan_Dare Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 i was gonna say: if he can fly, marvel can fuck off.
EEVILMURRAY Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Maybe he's just falling, with style. (Spot the pop culture reference) Toy Story is pop culture?
Arragaun Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Flying is not that hard to do. Just throw yourself at the ground and miss... You have to love Douglas Adams.
Ashley Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Toy Story is pop culture? Well technically, anything that is embraced by popular culture, as Toy Story was back in 94/95 then yes, its pop culture. Also, its now technically a classic
Shorty Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 They didn't just hint at this... they said last year they were definitely bringing out a new costume because of the change in his character lately from the Peter Parker: Spider-man series. That sketch had been around for months.
MunKy Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 In that pic where he's falling/flying he looks like a power ranger with a big gold spider on its chest.
Jamba Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Can we just have a quick round up? Who actually likes this?
Happenstance Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Not one bit, stupid costume, pointless new powers and total butchering of Spider-Mans origins
JGonspy Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Uh, no. Just no. Spider-Man flying? Does it take a genius to see what's horribly wrong with that? Oh well, least it's just the costume and we know that won't last.
