I seem to have just found this whilst happening to go to the Shin'en website; I think it's just been announced today!

Looks amazing, more Shin'en magic!

Game looks great! Wasn't expecting an SM3DL style game!

It has actually gone through quite a few changes. It started off as a spinoff called Jett Rocket Super Surf (which was presumably a whole game based of the Wave Race style sections), then it seemingly became a 2D platformer and now it's a 2D/3D platformer hybrid like SM3DL with Wave Race style bonus stages!

Looking forward to this one :)

Edit: Herpdederp, misread his post completely

I don't think that answers his question. Or, it kind of does, but in a really roundabout way. :heh:

No, the first Jett Rocket was a WiiWare game.

Yeah, I derped. Somehow I read his post as if he was asking whether or not it was Shinen's first 3DS game!

No idea how I cocked that one up

Yeah, it's good fun so far. Tough as nails too!
Yeah, it can be pretty tough, almost old school Mega Man difficulty! Perhaps not, but definitely tougher than your average modern game. :hehe:

The second boss was loads easier than the first though, which is odd. :hmm:

I'm almost at the end of the 3rd (and presumably last) set of stages now, so it doesn't seem like there's much content in JRII. :hmm: But there's an extra mode that unlocks with collection all of the photos, and hopefully something else for beating all of the stages... Time will tell. ::shrug:

Is it a good game though?
More or less. :heh:

It's nothing special, put it that way. Not sure if it's worth the asking price either, but like I said, got to see what's available post-game before passing judgement there.

Yeah, I'm enjoying it. Good fun :)

This is to Mario 3D Land what the original Jett Rocket was to Mario Galaxy. It's a nice little 3D/2D hybrid platformer that's pretty well designed. It wont blow you away, but you'll probably still enjoy it (and really, good 3D platformers are very rare these days outside of Mario!)

BTW, beat the game and yes, there is substantial post game content (just like Super Mario 3D Land funnily enough ;) )

Awesome. Good to know. :)

I probably would have beat it by now, if it weren't for KORG M01D! :hehe:

Yeah, I figured that would be what's taking up most of your time. Looking forward to some bangin' tunes ;)

This game seems really good for the relatively low price!

I take it you guys who have finished or played quite a big chunk of it can recommend?

Looking to give some more love to the eShop before Zelda next week takes up all of my handheld gaming time :heh: and this looks perfect!
