Yeah, apart from the character design being borderline offensive, it looks like it could be a lot of fun.

Christ, people complain that games are so drab and generally brown coloured - this is revealed, and it's proclaimed a multi-coloured piece of shit.

I think it's more people have lost faith in the developer. Fable 3 was a step back in many ways (still fun) and then they decide the next big thing for it is an on-rails Kinect shooter.

Every Fable game has been pretty flakey, imo. Fable one had a major crash bug that I'm not sure I ever got past and I swear each iteration has just been a thinly veiled remake of the previous one. Either way, I can't actually remember which was Fable II and which was III.

The main games reek of Molyneux (the spin offs just reek of Microsoft).

I don't have sound here, but is that the video where he says it's not on-rails because you can choose between two different pre-set paths at some points?

(which is like saying Lylat Wars isn't on-rails)

I think it has a decent style to it, they just need to soften the characters' faces. Based on the screens they're fixed and unblinking, whereas part of the reason for Sackboy's success — and lack of obvious murderous intent — is his breadth of expression.

I reckon the fanboys on the Lionhead forums are going nuts!!!!

To be fair, it does look ok. A 4 player co-op game in my eyes, is a win. But as @Cube mentioned, it does seem Lionhead are going in the direction of "Castle Crashers" with this. To me, "The Journey" and "Heroes" kind of feel like Microsoft are insisting these types of game come out, instead of Molyneux making another RPG-style Fable.

But hey, time will tell if this turns into something that is good.
