Platty Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I just hate the way Suarez has kind of tried to make it out like he is the victim. At least he, Liverpool and Kenny have all issued statements apologising today. Still a scumbag as far as I'm concerned.
MadDog Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Nice of United to apologise for Ferguson's comments, which were out of order, and Evra's celebration, which was also.
flameboy Posted February 12, 2012 Author Posted February 12, 2012 Anyone gonna watch African Nations Final? WOuld love Zambia to win.
bob Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Me too, but i think it's probably going to be a Ivory Coast walkover.
flameboy Posted February 12, 2012 Author Posted February 12, 2012 Me too, but i think it's probably going to be a Ivory Coast walkover. Dunno they beat some good teams along the way....that's why I've put a cheeky bet on them!
gmac Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 it's quite funny about Ferguson stating that Suarez shouldn't play for Liverpool again considering the lengths he went to to ensure Cantona did play for United again after he committed a much worse offence
Ramar Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Anyone gonna watch African Nations Final? WOuld love Zambia to win. Typically I'd be all over The Copper Bullets (Zambia) to win, however I'm backing The Elephants because of my boy Ebou?. Nice of United to apologise for Ferguson's comments, which were out of order, and Evra's celebration, which was also. Fergie said in his interview on MotD that Evra was out of order for the celebration, that's as much of an apology you'll get out of whiskey face. Apart from that he has nothing to apologise for, said it how it was.
Fierce_LiNk Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Fergie said in his interview on MotD that Evra was out of order for the celebration, that's as much of an apology you'll get out of whiskey face. Apart from that he has nothing to apologise for, said it how it was. Pretty much it. Ivory Coast just had a penalty and Drogba smashed it very high over the bar. Fuck! Cmaaaaaan Zambia!
flameboy Posted February 12, 2012 Author Posted February 12, 2012 Drogba skys a penalty over the bar....Zambia have been dominating to be fair...I feel a bet coming in my way!!!!!
Fierce_LiNk Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Drogba skys a penalty over the bar....Zambia have been dominating to be fair...I feel a bet coming in my way!!!!! I've got a bad feeling Ivory Coast will sneak it at the very end.
flameboy Posted February 12, 2012 Author Posted February 12, 2012 I've got a bad feeling Ivory Coast will sneak it at the very end. I hope not...thinks not really going their way luck wise. I mean that chance they just had he did everything right just wide.
Emerald Emblem Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Extra time, just perfect, should be going to bed right about now.
Ramar Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Plenty of time for Ebou? to score the winner.
Fierce_LiNk Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Eboue is what the England team are missing. He is the link between defence-midfield-attack-media. The crowd have been craving him for some time.
flameboy Posted February 12, 2012 Author Posted February 12, 2012 I love how Herve Renard (the zambia manager) looks like a movie star just stood cool as anything in his white unbuttoned shirt.
Ramar Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Interesting to see if Drogba takes a penalty, should the game get that far.
Fierce_LiNk Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Meh, that missed Ivory Coast penalty should have counted. I know the keeper came off his line, but it seems like a daft rule in the first place.
flameboy Posted February 12, 2012 Author Posted February 12, 2012 GET IN THERE ZAMBIA!!!!!! Knew they could do it!
Emerald Emblem Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Had to be Gervinhio, I hope he doesn't lose all confidence when he returns to Arsenal.
Fierce_LiNk Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 That shoot-out was agony! I couldn't believe it when Zambia missed their penalty, and then Gervinho missed the next one. God. Rollercoaster! Well done, Zambia. I bet it's a huge emotional victory for them. Had goosebumps when they were singing after the winning penalty.
Happenstance Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 That penalty spot really did take a beating didnt it. Flagging for keepers moving forward just always seems so inconsistent in penalties. Congrats to Zambia anyway.
Mr-Paul Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 That was intense. What a great shootout. The England team could seriously learn some lessons from these guys. Not Gervinho though. Just hope that hasn't totally destroyed his morale. Congrats Zambia. Who'd have predicted that!? How much money did you put on Zambia, @flameboy?
gmac Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 yeah I don't see how the penalty save from Bamba was much different than the one from Toure, yet the linesman flagged for the first but not the second, a lot of keepers take a step off the line and are very rarely punished for it. anyhoo congrats Zambia!
