f00had Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Competitive smash players are pretty gross, I've heard stories about how they don't shower for weeks and stink out entire venues, but really what can you expect from people who only go outside and socialise at tournaments? Din's Fire is pretty cool, I liked it in Brawl but then they made Zelda's other moves pretty crap.
Cube Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 They also play Smash without items, which is just a disgrace.
Serebii Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 They also play Smash without items, which is just a disgrace. A truly skilled player navigates around random obstacles and still wins. They don't turn them off.
Jonnas Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I can understand banning items. Try to play a match with any of them turned on, and soon enough, someone will lose a life/stock because a crate popped out above their heads, or an explosive capsule appeared as you were attacking (you can't turn these off in Melee, I can't even have a proper Pokéball match!). As for lack of hygiene... I can't say I ever went to a tournament, but that reeks () of a greatly exaggerated rumour. Din's Fire is pretty cool, I liked it in Brawl but then they made Zelda's other moves pretty crap. I disagree. They made most of Zelda's moves better from Melee (except her dropkick, which became really hard to connect).
Fused King Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 What/Who is Zelda hitting with her Fire anyway?
Cube Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 That's Tingle. They're revealing him as a playable character on Friday.
markderoos Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 That's Tingle. They're revealing him as a playable character on Friday. Although Tingle wears green, you're wrong. Since it's Paddy's Day, they'll announce:
f00had Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 (edited) They also play Smash without items, which is just a disgrace. They usually play 1 on 1 which I don't think lends well to playing with items. When it's 4 players however then items need to be on! I really miss the Smash Bros Dojo, it really used to make my day reading each entry. The photo of the day is cool but it doesn't seem as in depth as the Dojo, especially when they post joke photos. I disagree. They made most of Zelda's moves better from Melee (except her dropkick, which became really hard to connect). Her down + B is way worse :P although I can't really remember what Zelda's standard attacks were like in Melee, I only ever used her in that game after racking up damage with Shiek to land the finishing kick. Jonnas Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I can't really remember what Zelda's standard attacks were like in Melee Precisely: they were useless, so nobody did If Zelda wasn't attached to Sheik, I doubt she'd see much use, really. In Melee anyway, in Brawl she's much improved, and Sheik nerfed (though still fun, at least).
-Dem0- Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 "Pic of the day. The tiny Motion-Sensor Bomb is hard to see. If you get any closer, it's dangerous. I warned you."
Rummy Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Interesting discussions on the Zelda front - whilst I always presumed ti was because I didn't realise her power til Brawl - I always used to ignore Zelda in Melee and use Shiek, totally flipped that round in Brawl.
Wii Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 (edited) Pic Of The Day "Pic of the day. Looks like someone's enjoying the bachelor life in this pad." Well late this morning with the update. People were getting well hyped up elsewhere thinking it could be Yoshi's reveal seeing as the new Yoshi game is coming out for 3DS. Edited March 14, 2014 by Wii
Cube Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Well, Yoshi's New Island doesn't have a release date in Japan yet, so perhaps Yoshi will be announced when that game is out over there.
markderoos Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Yoshi will be revealed next monday, march 17th.
Wii Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Yoshi will be revealed next monday, march 17th. That would make so much sense and it would be brilliant.
Rummy Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I thanked that then unthanked it because I realised it said St Patty's and that makes me sad.
Wii Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I thanked that then unthanked it because I realised it said St Patty's and that makes me sad. I know but I didn't make it. It was the best I could find.
Cube Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Well, this also appears in search results. The name is right, but the rest is not.
Josh64 Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Oh my, that's the kind of thing you'd expect to see from a Sonic fan.
Rummy Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 (edited) I've spent the morning/last hour checking out a lot of this guy's stuff. It's all so/very awesome and you've probably seen a few about(usually Zelda ones) - highly recommend it but watch out for your feels in places - http://magicalgametime.com (ironically this was actually made/done long before little mac was even a thing; probs based off him as an assist trophy) Edited March 18, 2014 by Rummy
-Dem0- Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 "Pic of the day. That item that brings victory one step closer...the Smash Ball! Of course everyone wants it! Come to think of it, I haven't introduced any of the Final Smashes yet... Then again, if I introduced every single one, it'd take over a month's worth of posts."
Dcubed Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 (edited) Edit: Forgot that he doesn't post on weekends and we're already past 22 characters revealed so far... Edited March 17, 2014 by Dcubed
