Retro_Link Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Yeah it really does! This had potential, pretty decent the concept, but man those are some truely crap characters! And the gameplay looks aweful. Why didn't they make this much more focused, and make this Hunks game? and have you controlling him and 3 others like him... not going over the top with different teams/cloaking/stupid names/leather clad/dodgy accents. It seems they're keen to just keep on ruining this story, building on the reinvention bollocks/characters Umbrella Chronicles started. The only good thing about this are the Leon cutscenes!
S.C.G Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 There's just so much wrong with that trailer that I don't know where to start but I sure know how to end it... *sigh* 'not another cover-based shooter...'

Gio001 Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Mmmm!! Don't know what to make of this, my mouse pointer has hovered over the pre-order button a few times. Think i need to see more gameplay trailers or a demo!
f00had Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 All these new characters and modes that they announce just confuse me lol. I'm gonna have to wait for the game to come out and read a bunch of reviews to see what it's like.
Hero-of-Time Posted January 13, 2012 Author Posted January 13, 2012 I watched the multiplayer trailer yesterday. Loving the heroes mode, nice to see Carlos back in action. I slammed my preorder down a few weeks back. A few of us are getting it on the 360 purely for some co-op action. Single player will probably be pants though.
Deathjam Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 (edited) After watching that and a few other trailers, consider me at the moment, tempted. Been looking for a fun co-op game since MH Tri for awhile. EDITED cos im an idiot. Edited January 14, 2012 by Deathjam
LegoMan1031 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Hmm, yeah co-op could be good... but the game does look a bit sub-standard, shall have to wait and see!
Retro_Link Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Is this game just some 'alternate universe' stand alone game?... in the fact that Leon gets shot etc...
bryanee Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Think of it as a "what if" game. Day one for me, returning to Raccoon City is to me amazing I miss that place. Plus going toe to toe with zombies, lickers, hunters, tyrants etc is going to be a blast online.
Beast Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I know that it would be no RE: Outbreak (since that game was amazing and I'm still waiting for the day they make it HD for the 360 so I can buy instantly) but I do honestly think this holds promise. Also, as Bryanee said, it will be awesome fighting actual zombies and lickers again, just like the good ol' days! I think I'll definitely buy this.

CoolFunkMan Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 I've just pre-ordered this. I played it at GAMEfest last year, and it was actually quite fun. Ok, so it's really action-oriented, but it still fet like a Resident Evil game, but at the same time had a Left 4 Dead feel to it (which is really not a bad thing.) Infact, my friends and I got 10 minutes worth of gameplay footage for it for our blog. Here it is, and sorry about the audio quality: Also, my impressions of the demo after playing it (disclaimer: I may be hyping it a little too much...):
Gio001 Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Nice impressions, i've pre-ordered this & quite looking forward to it. Just wondering how it controls, i know you can run & gun but is it intuitive. Loved the Resi 2 intro.
Retro_Link Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Hmm... I still don't really understand how it can be made to fit into the series if it's a 'What If...' title, but it's all looking a lot more Resi focused now... Hopefully there are different paths to the game (kinda like those in Resi 2/3) where by Leon doesn't necessarily die etc...
f00had Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I think this game would be a lot better if it was just a HD remake of Resident Evil 2 and 3 with the Heroes and Villains online mode... The new Umbrella and Spec Ops characters look stupid and seem like a waste of time and money.

If they wanted to make a squad based game they should have focused it around a backstory for HUNK.
S.C.G Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 I feel the same but I'm basically in the frame of mind that 'it'll have to do' in that it looks good, will probably be good fun and will tide everyone over rather nicely until Resi 6 and if the appeal doesn't last that long well... I'll just go back to playing Resident Evil Rvelations... ... not that I've acutally stopped playing that yet because Raid Mode is fantastic.
Michal26 Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Leon playing quite a big part in it makes that a little difficult though!
Retro_Link Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 I'm utterly confused by all these Modes and where they fit into the game, but here's a 360 Exclusive one...
bryanee Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Why are you confused? They're just multiplayer modes seperate from the main campaign.
