Cube Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I'm actually hoping it doesn't arrive on Tuesday. As I'd have to stick it in my bad at work, to and play squash after work and get home after 10PM too tired to do anything. So I would have it for over 24 hours before I actually opened it. (Or I'll just skip squash).
Cookyman Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Can we all post what we are getting on launch day I want to play some of you guys! Everybody's Golf Lumines Hustle Kings (free nice!) Super Stardust This is how I feel riight now - I love when a new system comes out:
Happenstance Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Rayman Origins Persona 3 Portable or Everybody's Golf Hustle Kings (Maybe as I already own it on PS3)
Cookyman Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Hustle Kings (Maybe as I already own it on PS3) Maybe? it's free man, snap that shit up!
ReZourceman Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Depends, is it Robinsons Fruit and Barley? Uncharted Super Stardust Delta Motorstorm RC
Happenstance Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Maybe? it's free man, snap that shit up! A free game that I didnt really enjoy isnt all that tempting though. If I download it, it'll just be to test out the cross play.
Daft Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 (edited) I'm getting... Lumines Super Stardust HD Motorstorm RC Wipeout 2048 ...Maybe Virtual Tennis 4 a week or so later. Depending on stuff. Would love a tennis game. Anyway the prospect of Daft having his own PS Vita within 100 yards of his person and not being able to play it....that is a worrying thought. I mean I wouldn't be able to play it but I'd know it was close to me and that's all the matters...my precious. It might be a bit late now but get it delivered to work? Yeah, this is an idea. I'm just a little unsure as I'm free lance (although I have my own desk) and I just started, seems a little strange maybe. But I'm going to ask someone if that's okay. I assume it'll be okay to change the address up until Monday. If not, I'll deal but would be cool. Edited February 18, 2012 by Daft
Cookyman Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Daft - I'm getting mine delivered to work. i work in a High School and the courier just drops it off at reception. Reception then phones me and tells me I have a delivery which I pick up at my convienience - simples!.
flameboy Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 How is Hustle Kings free? Is it one of the own it on one own it on both? Giantbomb have edited all their quick looks into 8-10 min videos. I LOVE the shooting in FIFA, it adds such a new element that the current shooting methods in console games could in no way do....
Cookyman Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 How is Hustle Kings free? Is it one of the own it on one own it on both? It certainly is - check back a few pages for all the details.

Yeah if you own the PS3 copy you can download it on Vita for free. I wasnt planning on getting Fifa but the new shooting does seem to make it worthwhile. Probably one i'll wait for a price drop on though.
dazzybee Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Virtua tennis Superstardust Escape plan Hustle kings Maybe Motorsport depending on reviews. And undoubtedly I'll bottle it and buy wipeout too.
Daft Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Oh, yeah. Forgot about Escape Plan. And FIFA. But it'll probably be FIFA or Virtual Tennis. I'll download the demos or whatever my mood is.
dazzybee Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Ah good point, anyone know what demos there will be at launch? Ps get virtua tennis, sounds like a few of s are getting that (if you like online that is)
Cookyman Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Ps get virtua tennis, sounds like a few of s are getting that (if you like online that is) No, no no get Everybody's Golf (if you like online that is).
Aneres11 Posted February 18, 2012 Author Posted February 18, 2012 Virtua Tennis Uncharted Super Star Dust That's it. Looked at Rayman Origins but think those 2 will keep me entertained for long enough. That will no doubt go down in price like the home console editions have soon enough. Seen the boxes for the Vita too - they're tiny! Look good. No, no no get Everybody's Golf (if you like online that is). Everybody's Golf hasn't been rated that well from what I have seen. Plus golf is boring as hell. Controversial...?
Aimless Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 At launch I'll be picking up a 3G Vita, 8GB memory card, a physical copy of Rayman and downloading MotorStorm RC, Stardust and possibly Escape Plan. Oh, and the promotional copy of WipEout, naturally. LoveFilm stock Vita games, so I'm going to rely on them for Uncharted and some other launch titles. As such Gravity Rush will likely be the next 'full' game I purchase, depending on when that's released. I'm also interested in getting some form of case, for obvious reasons, but I think I'm going to wait and see what other people recommend first.
Cube Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Virtua Tennis Wipeout Uncharted And possibly Escape Plan and Super Stardust.
Cookyman Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 (edited) Everybody's Golf hasn't been rated that well from what I have seen. Plus golf is boring as hell. Controversial...? IGN gave it a pretty poor score but then if you read the review he was moaning about the difficulty. From IGN review:Say, for example, you spend 30 to 45 minutes on an 18-hole tournament and you keep the lead through 17 holes. On the last hole, you spend agonizing minutes studying the course, noting the wind direction and speed, adjusting your shot, and selecting the spin for the ball. Then, in the seconds before executing your shot, you miss the impact zone by a hair and somehow your ball ends up out-of-bounds, wracking your score with a penalty and plummeting your position in the tournament from 1st to 4th. You complete the challenge without a gold star, and you must now repeat the same 45-minute tournament from the beginning. For all the careful planning and thought you put in, the punishment for a millisecond mistake seems severe. And finally earning that star after repeated efforts feels much less rewarding than the time invested deserves. I thought that was what Golf was all about what a whining baby! Destructoid on the other hand say this is the best version yet and I loved Everybody's Golf World Tour. World Invitational continues that tradition of a really nice blend of arcade-ish accessibility and sim seriousness. If you want to kick back and relax, fine -- but you can also dig in, get deep with strategy and complex swing tricks, and feel rewarded when you master them all. With its massive array of play options, courses, unlockables, and online challenges, not to mention its portability and always-on 3G connectivity, this is easily the biggest and best Hot Shots Golf game yet. Also 30 player online tournaments and daily online challenges - can you tell I'm pumped? I'm also interested in getting some form of case, for obvious reasons, but I think I'm going to wait and see what other people recommend first. I got this, ?14.99 on Amazon: Edited February 18, 2012 by Cookyman
Daft Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 And possibly Escape Plan and Super Stardust. I got this: I went for that one. Looks way better than the Uncharted version too, imo.
Cube Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I think I'll probably take your word on it and get it. It's just that the demo they used for showing it off on the Vita was incredibly lame that makes me unsure.
Daft Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 What I'm having trouble with understanding right this second is why you haven't got it on the PS3? (Or have you?)
Cube Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 (edited) Erm. No I haven't. I may as well wait for the Vita one now, though. As for the case - I wish it didn't have that dogtag thing on it. Edit Is it me, or does the dogtag say @S\.C\.G? Edited February 18, 2012 by Cube
Aimless Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I got this: Are you part of an EOD unit? I was thinking of something a bit more lightweight, like the original PSP 'sock'. There's a similar slip case with the official Starter Kit, but I'm waiting on first hand impressions. This also looks pretty good, but the strength of the Yen makes it a bit of a rip-off; no idea why it isn't coming out over here.
Cookyman Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Are you part of an EOD unit? If I told you - I'd have to kill you. I was thinking of something a bit more lightweight, like the original PSP 'sock'. After spending over ?200 I'd prefer something sturdier than this:
