Paj! Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 And...it may be because it doesn't really taste like egg fried rice that I like it. Or rather, I like the taste of UBEFR, even if it doesn't taste like Egg Fried Rice (which I also like).
Dyson Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 I wish they had taken Fried out of the name so it would have the accurate acronym of UBER
flameboy Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 I don't reckon much to those instant rices...make it on your own its a million times better! Egg Fried Rice is the simplest thing to make as well! Anyway these Pop Noodles GTi thingys. I havn't eaten a pot noodle for years but these things interest me....hmmmm I may have to see if ASDA have them in.
ReZourceman Posted October 25, 2010 Author Posted October 25, 2010 Paj and Dyson, you both need to try Batchelors. Its a million (well three...ish) times cheaper and so much nicer.
ReZourceman Posted October 25, 2010 Author Posted October 25, 2010 I have tried it, it didn't hold a candle to it Outrageous claims I refuse to read. What flavour did you have, and what didn't you like about it?
Dyson Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 No, it just didn't hold a candle. It wasn't mushy enough. Couldn't sculpt it around the base, it kept falling over..
ReZourceman Posted October 25, 2010 Author Posted October 25, 2010 Oh come on, thats a me standard of joke.
Dyson Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 I know, I was so happy with it too; you fell right in to my trap
flameboy Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 (edited) well i bought two and I will report back on my findings in good time...tikka masala and chill con carne...two meals I like will they be wrecked by pot noodleness?!? Edited October 25, 2010 by flameboy
ReZourceman Posted October 25, 2010 Author Posted October 25, 2010 Good choices Flameboy. I wait with blatant breasts.
jayseven Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Flameboy! Can you check them for MSG? It's a mild mission to get to a big enough sainsbury's/tesco's that'll stock'em.
Charlie Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Pot Noodles are the best thing to have after a night out. Lots of water and carbs.
flameboy Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Flameboy! Can you check them for MSG? It's a mild mission to get to a big enough sainsbury's/tesco's that'll stock'em. I'm afraid in the ingredients it has the following: Flavour Enhancer (Monosodium glutamate) For those who don't care about that msg but the nutrition info here it is per pot: Calories 252 (13%) Sugars 0.9g (1%) Fat 7.2g (10%) Saturates 3.9g (20%) Salt 2.3g (38%)
ReZourceman Posted October 25, 2010 Author Posted October 25, 2010 (Can you spoiler tag your picture Flamey. Its massive. Wink)
Raining_again Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 I don't like any of those instant rices... something in them just turns my stomach... freshly made rice with freshly fried egg in it is delish. And so not difficult to make.. oh yes and don't forget, a lot cheaper if you buy the ingredients in bulk.
Ten10 Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Just picked up the sweet and sour one in Asda for a quid. Wasn't spoilt for choice as the chicken tikka was out so it was this or spaghetti bol. Will report back tomorrow on It's cackiness.

LegoMan1031 Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Can't say ive tried these. I'm a curry flavour pot noodler through and through!!
The fish Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Here we go: I anticipated the results of that test perfectly - stodgy, nothing like the flavour it claims to have, and totally unsatisfying. I love the use of the Seinfeld theme at the end! I have to say, though, your table setting was poor - desert cutlery goes above the plate, and you start with the cutlery on the outside...

See I actually made those mistakes deliberately as the meal really didn't deserve any sort of grand setting or attempt at one lol. Thats why i highlighted things such as the candle still having the sticker on it and also why the desert spoon was like the biggest measuring spoon ever! Also why i rather crudely just slapped the noodles in the asda big eat bap lol yeah seinfeld tis awesome!
ipaul Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Here we go: I don't know what it was, but there was something about this at 3am which was completely hilarious. Just the piercing at the start had me in stitches. Well done
ReZourceman Posted October 27, 2010 Author Posted October 27, 2010 Flameboy is hilarious. In all his videos he has both obvious jokes and really subtle ones. I love his videos. Make more Flamey. That was hilarious.
