Posted July 30, 2011 Am I reading this right you went on the A1 as a learner?... Isn't the A1 a motorway? A motorway has an 'M' in its name whereas 'A' roads are dual carriageways AFAIK. Hope I'm not proved wrong

Posted July 30, 2011 Am I reading this right you went on the A1 as a learner?... Isn't the A1 a motorway? It's a motorway in parts, but for the most it's a dual carriageway. I went on the A1 on my lessons (around Worksop if anyone knows it). EDIT: Or just read the last page, which is something I didn't do before posting.

Posted July 30, 2011 That makes sense, I've only been from J1-J9 which is all motorway. Cheers for clearing that up.
Posted July 30, 2011 Woah, so motorways don't need to be called 'M' with a number on it?!
Posted July 30, 2011 Woah, so motorways don't need to be called 'M' with a number on it?! The motorway parts of the M1 are M1 or A1(M) (around Sheffield the M1 and A1(M) actually split). Anywhere that is just A1 is non-motorway.

Posted July 30, 2011 Hospital appointment yesterday, got the doc to sign another driving licence application. Hopefully this one will go through, I'm putting it through as a medical replacement for free. Which it technically is since my medical status has changed since I got my first provisional. they also said if I don't have another fit in a year they'll discharge me! Posted July 30, 2011 Did the wedding today. 10 hours and 32gb of joy. Crazy. Good job I bought a second 16gb memory card this morning. I filled my old 16gb one and the new 16gb one with the camera I borrowed from work and a 2gb one with my own backup camera.
Posted July 30, 2011 ... I'm slightly worried for her. You sound like you're ready to pounce. One time I hit her on the head with a plastic spoon, she round house kicked me in the stomach to the floor. :p I think she can take care of herself but yes I am ready to POUNCE. When we do eventually wed, would you rather be photographer or guest, as the choice is yours.

Posted July 31, 2011 JUST BOOKED TICKETS TO SEE GRANT MORRISON AT THE EDINBURGH BOOK FESTIVAL IT'S BEEN SO LONG I'VE WANTED TO SEE HIM HE IS MY ALL HE IS EVERYTHING Fuck. My mum came in to say 'Oh there's someone who wrote for Marvel at the book festival...G something, M something' and I screamed. But it was some random even I've never heard of. Then I thought.."Wait, I wonder if Grant Morrison is doing anything for the festival...". Lo and behold. For people who don't know, he's one of the most important writers of the comic medium of the last 20+ years (one of the best too, but that's my opinion/the truth). And he was also the villain in My Chemical Romance's last videos.
