There's no indication of it's potential quality other than a few images and the knowledge of who's in it.

One thing I've learned is to not try and overhype "superhero" movies, they can really disappoint you.

Irregardless of that, I just find it bizarre that a few mildly interesting pictures indicate that it'll be ReZ's best film of the year. :p

WTF.

- The absolutely SUBLIME cast.

- Outline of film.

- Production pictures, showing designs, visual tone direction.

- Perfect PERFECT director for the movie.

Maybe one of these things alone doesn't point to anything, but come on guys/Paj. Pull your head out the sand.

Captain America's First Cut Screened

Director Joe Johnston has seen the first cut of his much-anticipated movie, Captain America: The First Avenger. The verdict? Fans will be pretaaay, pretaaay happy.

"I watched the movie for the first time a few days ago and I just looked at the first cut and there is so much entertainment value — it's just flat-out fun to watch," Johnston said in an interview with The Los Angeles Times.

Johnston, who directed Jurassic Park III and The Rocketeer, acknowledged that he has some bias, but seems able to, objectively, say that Cap's first big-screen movie is "funny, it's exciting and there's great visual effects. The movie is going to be something more than people are expecting. This movie is going to surprise some people."

First Avenger, according to Johnston, is both Cap's origin story and a very period-centric action movie, the latter being something rare when it comes to tentpole summer movies.

"It's a period superhero film but there's great action in it," he says. "You don't normally think of guys driving around in 1939 sedans in an action film but there are some great action beats in it. It's just a helluva lot of fun to watch."

Thanks for getting us all in a nerd frenzy, Joe. July 22 needs to stop stalling and get here.

Gotta be a trailer very soon now! :D

Chris Evans Reveals That He's Signed On For Six Movies With Marvel Studios:

The Captain America: The First Avenger star has confirmed the amount of movies he's signed on to play Steve Rogers in and says that he has plans to play the character for a very long time...

The same site who posted the three images that DCMarvelFreshman posted just a few minutes ago, have also revealed a portion of their interview with star Chris Evans where he reveals that it's six movies that he's signed on for. Three Captain America's and three lots of The Avengers! As always, thanks to RealIrOnMaN for the heads up!

Chris Evans and his contract with Marvel, "To be honest it was quite intimidating and scary to commit to nine films in a row. God thank you, we reduced the number to six [3 Captain America, Avengers 3] ... (...) If all goes as planned, I embody Captain America until I was 40 years. .

Kevin Feige on The Avengers: he says he saw the preview of the first big action scene of the film, and is, in his words "phenomenal"

tad overkill. Probably just one of those speculative contracts they'll never actually follow up on.

Oh, hey, it's Bucky!

(It's quite easy to run out of thanks when you're a generally positive person. ;))

I think he looks alot better without the helmet. Otherwise it's like a dodgy skateboarder.
