The Mad Monkey Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Yeah Captain America is basically at peak human condition A bit more than that, hence 'super soldier'.
Happenstance Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 A bit more than that, hence 'super soldier'. Super Soldier doesnt have to mean Superhuman, Captain America has always been described as being at "Peak Human Condition"
Paj! Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 There's no indication of it's potential quality other than a few images and the knowledge of who's in it. One thing I've learned is to not try and overhype "superhero" movies, they can really disappoint you.
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 It's also really dependent on how you define "best". Even those believing in objective judgement of films will agree. (Not interested in starting that argument again or anything.)
Paj! Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Irregardless of that, I just find it bizarre that a few mildly interesting pictures indicate that it'll be ReZ's best film of the year. :p
Dan_Dare Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Irregardless of that, I just find it bizarre that a few mildly interesting pictures indicate that it'll be ReZ's best film of the year. :p you're that amazed?
ReZourceman Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 WTF. - The absolutely SUBLIME cast. - Outline of film. - Production pictures, showing designs, visual tone direction. - Perfect PERFECT director for the movie. Maybe one of these things alone doesn't point to anything, but come on guys/Paj. Pull your head out the sand. "You can't see the beach for the sand" - Goverbnaji Gergianto, 1956
Retro_Link Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 http://uk.movies.ign.com/articles/114/1145243p1.html Captain America's First Cut Screened Director Joe Johnston has seen the first cut of his much-anticipated movie, Captain America: The First Avenger. The verdict? Fans will be pretaaay, pretaaay happy. "I watched the movie for the first time a few days ago and I just looked at the first cut and there is so much entertainment value — it's just flat-out fun to watch," Johnston said in an interview with The Los Angeles Times. Johnston, who directed Jurassic Park III and The Rocketeer, acknowledged that he has some bias, but seems able to, objectively, say that Cap's first big-screen movie is "funny, it's exciting and there's great visual effects. The movie is going to be something more than people are expecting. This movie is going to surprise some people." First Avenger, according to Johnston, is both Cap's origin story and a very period-centric action movie, the latter being something rare when it comes to tentpole summer movies. "It's a period superhero film but there's great action in it," he says. "You don't normally think of guys driving around in 1939 sedans in an action film but there are some great action beats in it. It's just a helluva lot of fun to watch." Thanks for getting us all in a nerd frenzy, Joe. July 22 needs to stop stalling and get here. Gotta be a trailer very soon now!

God thank you, we reduced the number to six [3 Captain America, Avengers 3] ... (...) If all goes as planned, I embody Captain America until I was 40 years. . Kevin Feige on The Avengers: he says he saw the preview of the first big action scene of the film, and is, in his words "phenomenal" Source - Comicbookmovie Phenomenal aye... let's hope... and 3 potential avenger movies
Dan_Dare Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 tad overkill. Probably just one of those speculative contracts they'll never actually follow up on. Oh, hey, it's Bucky! Also: Trailer on Sunday during the Superbowl

Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Whoa, Hitler Jugend much? (It's quite easy to run out of thanks when you're a generally positive person. )
ReZourceman Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 (I had at the time) but its 5 every 24 hours....thats not much if you read like 30 threads or whatever.
EEVILMURRAY Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Whoa, Hitler Jugend much? (It's quite easy to run out of thanks when you're a generally positive person. ) I think he looks alot better without the helmet. Otherwise it's like a dodgy skateboarder.
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I agree that the helmet is a bit funny-looking, but why did they have to make him look so Aryan?
chairdriver Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I agree that the helmet is a bit funny-looking, but why did they have to make him look so Aryan? Because we all know Aryans are more equal, so makes sense.
