Eenuh
I'm so sorry to hear that Raining. That's so sad. I hope you can find a lovely cat to adopt from the shelter. It won't be the same of course, but at least you will be able to give one of them a loving home. *hugs*

Raining_again
Yeah i'm going down to the sanctuary tomorrow. I feel like its only right, I am prepared to have another cat. So many out there needing homes, especially FIVs. Part of me felt like he was already mine, i had opened my heart to him and fallen in love. Incredibly painful The vet was almost crying himself as I think he could tell how much it affected me, I was pretty much bawling down the phone lol. But he was gentle and I totally know its the best for him, he can't suffer such a cruel infection. He did say you know I dont want to push this on you immediately but there are some healthy cats still in the sanctuary & maybe I should think about considering them. Wee sparks sat on my knee and looked up at me as if to say hey mom im here for you. He doesnt normally sit on my knee, it was a strange experience lol. I feel like maybe he was letting me know that its ok to rescue another wee kitty
Emerald Emblem
I'm sorry to hear that, I could tell how eager you were to adopt him, but it was for the best. I look forward to seeing which wee kitty you end up adopting.
Raining_again
Say hello to Freddie. I made a contribution of £80 in little Hanks name too.
bob
Geez, you'd think he'd look a little happier about being rescued...
Raining_again
Ahh he is happy, he just has markings that make him look like permanent sadface lol. You can tell a cat is relaxed when their pupils are tiny like his are. Lots of challenges getting these two to get on. They managed to share the bed about 10 minutes ago.. there was some initial growling, but they both settled. Then sparky left of his own accord, with no looking back or bolting. Rummy
@Dr\. bob do you like giant guinea pigs too? http://www.aol.com/article/2016/03/31/why-do-capybaras-get-along-so-well-with-literally-every-other-sp/21336403/ (i realise they aren't quite 'pets' but I thought here was a good place for it!) Eenuh
Mom told me that apparently our cat (my last living pet in Belgium) has not been seen for several days. Which is unlike her at all. She had just turned 17 and mom says she was being a bit slow lately (and we think she'd gone deaf/partially deaf too). So now we think she might have gone in hiding to die somewhere. Dad has searched around but couldn't find her anywhere. I am upset. This is the last picture mom sent of her in October.
S.C.G
I'm sorry to hear that Eenuh. Have your parents left food or treats out for her near places where she might be? That might work to bring her out of hiding if she's nearby perhaps, I don't know what else to suggest but I hope she's found safe soon.
Raining_again
Awk poor girl i hope she is ok :-( You have to watch with the food thing because you can attract unwanted animals too, its better to have things that smell like her outside. I really really really hope she comes back soon. I know the pain of not knowing and its nearly worse than the truth. Sending you lots of hope and good vibes @Eenuh My cats are doing well with each other at the moment. Got to take them to vet as sparkys tum not too happy with his meds. I want to get freddy checked out too as I'm pretty sure hes deaf as a post lol.

Raining_again
My tabby cat Freddy had a lot of pains in his body, odd pains. Then his legs started giving out. i ended up taking him to the vet last night, they did an xray this morning. I had very low expectations of him coming out of it, and i thought the vet would recommend him being PTS. Thankfully this morning they gave me a call n said hes got a bit of abnormality in his spine but no fractures. So we're trying some treatment and praying hard that it works. I'm so so worried about him. Spent all day expecting I'd have to rush to the vet to say goodbye. but hes still got fight in him so i'm going to be with him every step
gaggle64
Oh no Raining, that's horrible. Hope the little guy pulls through.
Raining_again
He is home under strict bed rest, which means hes in a big doggie cage. Stops him being hurt by my other cats, and prevents him from jumping or moving too much and hurting himself over again. Hes got a damaged/herniated/irritated disc, which hopefully will heal with time. Hes still very sore but settling down and getting more comfortable after the journey home in the car. I've experienced similar pain with 4 herniated discs so i've loads of ideas how to help him. And I have an orthopedic magnetic heat mat which i'm going to try on him. Vet has even suggested acupuncture too.
