Fierce_LiNk Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 It is a joke. Actually, it is quite laughable. This is a Premier League club we're talking about. I wouldn't be all that surprised if players do leave, and I wouldn't blame them.
darksnowman Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 So, after a poor start to the Serie A season with Inter but an Italian Super Copa and the Fifa Club World Cup added to the trophy cabinet, with building pressure from Moratti that he must win the Club World Cup to assure his position which became more of a "I won't disrupt things before the Cup but afterwards I will..." then some cockiness from Rafa that Moratti must buy him players in January if he wants the same results as from Mourinho proved to be the final straw... Inter and Benitez have parted company. Now the rumours say Rafa will be back at the helm at LFC.
MadDog Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Now the rumours say Rafa will be back at the helm at LFC. Hopefully not. I mean, he did a decent job all round. In terms of silverware, he didn't deliver what was expected, but he came so close to winning us the title in 08, and made us a solid top 4 team. Then he got us 7th, which is due to the sale of Alonso IMO, which was basically all his doing.
nekunando Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 While I'm sure Rafa will not be returning to us, there are certain things about him I miss
MadDog Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 While I'm sure Rafa will not be returning to us, there are certain things about him I miss This?
Fierce_LiNk Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Aaaahahaha, Rafa. What a tart. I can't believe how badly he sucked at the Inter job. Hmm, a great team, in 7th place. I wonder where we've heard that before. The guy is a joke. I actually hope Liverpool take him back. Although, Roy is doing a great job of destroying them from the inside anyway. Maybe Rafa can be his number two.
nekunando Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 (edited) ..you know, I actually miss the earlier stuff.. He almost seemed like a totally different guy back then As for Roy, I was never convinced about him in the first place but obviously you wait to see how it goes before you can make any judgements. The problem is, he keeps saying the wrong things and is continually talking about individual players in public. Edited December 23, 2010 by nekunando
Fierce_LiNk Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Its the facial hair. Actually, did Rafa have any success at all once he grew the facial hair?
Ellmeister Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 They both fit Liverpool. Everyone expects so much of them now, and they fail to deliver.
MadDog Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Hmm, so...how much money have to spent in an attempt to buy the Champions League? How is that going by the way
Ramar Posted December 24, 2010 Author Posted December 24, 2010 Typical scouse fall back.. European Cups.
MadDog Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Typical scouse fall back.. European Cups. Hardly a fallback, he said we have failed to deliver. Yet Chelseas biggest wish is to win in europe, which they have failed to do.
Ramar Posted December 24, 2010 Author Posted December 24, 2010 Hardly a fallback, he said we have failed to deliver. Yet Chelseas biggest wish is to win in europe, which they have failed to do. Chelsea's wish is to be anything other than the two-bob club they were before Abramovich came in. I'll probably be eating those words on the 28th..
Ramar Posted December 27, 2010 Author Posted December 27, 2010 Massive game tomorrow, we really can't afford to lose anymore and not to title rivals. Need big games from Fabregas and Van Persie if they play.
Ellmeister Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Its going to be a good game I hope either way!
Ramar Posted December 27, 2010 Author Posted December 27, 2010 Heading to the game in a bit, oddly I'm not optimistic. Neither of us are in particularly good form and the last game we out played Chelsea and lost. So I don't know whether playing shit we might fluke it. Probably feel better about things once I've got a beer in me.
Ellmeister Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Unfortunately I've been preoccupied looking after visiting GF and cousins to watch but it sounds like I should be happy about that. We sound crap on the radio so no doubt Ramar is loving it. Merry Christmas you fucker :p <3
Dog-amoto Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Well, don't worry Chelsea fans - you'll get a win on Wednesday. You always beat us
Ramar Posted December 28, 2010 Author Posted December 28, 2010 We were amazing, Chelsea looked shite. Fantastic stuff.
Kav Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 We were amazing, Chelsea looked shite. Fantastic stuff. So true! I've not seen us look this awful in an absolute age! Makes me want to cry, haha.
Ramar Posted December 29, 2010 Author Posted December 29, 2010 Amazing what two weeks in the world of football can do. Things are looking up, a win tonight and we're back in the hunt.
Murr Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 dissapointed with the draw last night but at least we're still unbeaten. what a result for Arsenal on Monday, un real.
MadDog Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 sigh....according to the BBC feed, Wolves are looking like the home team.
