Happenstance Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Looks like they are taking some tips from Batman Arkham Asylum but I think its looking promising so far. Be interested to see what the other two Spider-Man dimensions they choose are. So far id say Amazing for comic, Noir for realistic so maybe 2099 for futuristic and I cant think of anything else at the moment.
ReZourceman Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Yeah I think this looks awesome. Totally agree that I think one will be 2099 and I think the other will be House of M.
Shorty Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 ReZ. You'll think any Spidey game looks awesome. Lets be honest, since you liked Web of Shadows, your o pinion on these games is somewhat redundant It looks poo. Same old poo its been since the second movie game. The very fact that they're trying to tease us about the other dimensions, so presumptuous of them to imagine anyone (except ReZ) cares. It's not that hard to make a Spider-man game. Witty banter. Webswinging. Putting small time villains in giant webs. Using your brain to take out supervillains. That would a wonderful Spiderman game make, all on its own. No 10-hit-level-this-up-fisticuff combos, no giant web bombs, no twirling AoD attack or other things you'd never see comic-spidey doing.
Happenstance Posted April 1, 2010 Author Posted April 1, 2010 Im still very hopeful. Despite a lot of flaws in previous games ive pretty much enjoyed all the Spider-Man games since 2, all I really want to do is swing around and mess about on rooftops so im usually happy. Plus the Ultimate Spider-Man game came out after 2 and I think that was actually pretty good. Anyway I think the first two dimensions shown look good and the direction the game is going now should help mix it up a bit gameplay wise. I look forward to seeing the next two dimensions.
Shorty Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Ultimate Spidey was actually good, yeah. It was just disappointingly repetitive. You could never get enough of the swinging, but the action in between was not so great, and everything took place on the streets.
Dan_Dare Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 I liked the chases in US. The proximity to the ground helped maintain a sense of speed, which was cool. Never finished it though. I got to the boss battle against the green goblin and got stuck on the ridiculous button mashing mini 'game' where you had to save people under rubble while being attacked by fireballs. Web of Shadows was atrocious. One of the worst games I've ever had the misfortune to play.
Paj! Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 I didn't mind Web Of Shadows. What was so awful about it?
Ashley Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Neil Patrick Harris really is in everything nowadays.
Happenstance Posted April 2, 2010 Author Posted April 2, 2010 I think its actually Christopher Daniel Barnes who voiced Spider-Man in the 90s cartoon in the game not NPH....although it did sound an awful lot like him but he hasnt been mentioned anywhere for it
Daft Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 That looks slick. Although I'd rather the levels weren't linear.

Shame we only have four words to go by. Ah well, no biggie either way but it just struck me as I was watching.
flameboy Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 So is this from a story line where dimensions did merge or are these alternative versions of spidermans ones who have their own off shoot comics in seperate continuities?
ReZourceman Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 So is this from a story line where dimensions did merge or are these alternative versions of spidermans ones who have their own off shoot comics in seperate continuities? Precisely right in the second option. They are different continuities. And yes thats 2099. BACK IN YOUR CAGE MIGUEL!

Happenstance Posted June 5, 2010 Author Posted June 5, 2010 Apart from House of M and Ultimate what other ones can we think of? Both of those to be just seem way too close to 616 to use.
ReZourceman Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Stupid question; Is Spidey in Age of Apocalypse? 1985 1602 Errrrrmmmmm Can't think of many more. Has to be House of M? I bet (if it was) they have had/having a blast making it. Should look great.
