Posted August 21, 2010 (edited) It was great! This was it... ... The front half of an F1 car fitted with a monitor like they use in the garages... then everyone else could see what was happening on the screen behind. Got to drive 3 laps of Silverstone race... starting from about halfway back on the grid and the 3 laps finished by me pulling into the pit box. The pedals could be moved forwards or backwards electronically to accomodate different heights. On this occasion gear shifts were done automatically. Good thing I was farely familiar with the course layout, because it's crazy how unsighted a lot of the corners were! Posted August 23, 2010 (edited) I downloaded the demo for F1 CE just in anticipation, I think I got Montreal down with easy AI and no braking assist and manual gearbox, I got 3rd with Barrichello in the dry, was running 4th and pressuring Fisichella in the wet, but got the braking wrong and collided and lost my front right tyre and retired, gutted. Posted September 1, 2010 Not decided on which version I'll pick up, mainly because I'm not sure I'll have the money to pay for it at the moment. We'll see. If the majority of people are getting it for the PS3 though, I feel I'll probably pick it up for that so I can join in on some online play. Will be interested to hear how that specifically is working out. Presumably, it'll just be qualifying and the race as I don't see them making the whole race weekend playable online. Practices wouldn't be necessary anyway really if you know the track, car your racing, etc. Anyway, yes. I am interested in the game, mainly because I got F1 2009 on the Wii last year and apart from the visuals looking like an almost carbon copy of the PSP version, it was a very good racing game (especially considering the same development team put out DiRT 2 on the Wii a few months prior which was god awful). This'll have had more time in development presumably than that so I do expect things to be slightly more robust this time around, although the offerings in the Wii game were pretty robust as it was.
