S.C.G Posted yesterday at 01:55 AM Posted yesterday at 01:55 AM @Julius If you're looking for a copy of Silent Hill 2 on the PS2, depending on how much you wanted to spend, and which version you wanted to get, I might have just the copy which might be of interest to you, so drop me a PM if you're interested. 1
Hero-of-Time Posted yesterday at 06:50 AM Posted yesterday at 06:50 AM @Julius Sounds like you had a good day out. Shame about that Ico set. It looks lovely. Yeah, finding the original version of Silent Hill 2 in good condition is a nightmare. I tried a couple of years ago when going through my PS2 buying phase and it's so hard to find. The later released, non platinum edition that comes in a standard box would match everything else in a collection but it's also very hard to come by. 1 1

Yep, that is the version which I have at the moment, I'm just asking around to see who's interested, as it is quite collectable. 2

Thanks Sam, I'll probably pass purely because my wallet could do with a bit of a timeout after all the Pokémon cards I picked up yesterday, but I really appreciate it! 14 hours ago, Hero-of-Time said: @Julius Sounds like you had a good day out. Yeah, it's one I've been eyeing up for a good while now and the first time I've seen it in person, so if I don't stumble across it at any of the similar events I'll probably be attending later in the year (Birmingham Toy Fair or Birmingham Comic Con), I might just be cheeky and stick it on my birthday/Christmas list I always struggle for gift ideas anyways! And yeah, no joke about that post-Plat, non-Plat version, I think I've only ever seen one up for sale online across, what, like two or so years now of keeping an eye out and occasionally actively searching for Silent Hill 2? It's crazy, and I imagine a pretty niche case where it might be even harder to find given the comparatively greater success the remake has enjoyed. It's also such a weird one where I swear no-one can seem to agree on what the best version of the game on PS2 is when it comes to wanting a physical copy otherwise (the whole Director's Cut only being in the Platinum release if I'm remembering right?), they just all agree obviously to not play the HD Collection And then I also question whether I should just play the remake instead, but where's the fun in that? I'm looking at getting a controller more suited for 2D games, but still with plenty of features for lots of remapping if needed. I'm looking at this one at the moment: I bought this controller. In terms of the controller itself, it feels really nice. In terms of the software, it's a bit disappointing for PC use so isn't quite as versatile as I expected - the back paddles can only duplicate other buttons (rather than letting you map them to a keyboard or use them as additional buttons). It still does the job, though. Apparently some of their other controllers are starting to get full Steam Input support so perhaps there will be an update in the future. Still, I can't complain, the Amazon driver lied about delivery and I got a full refund.
