Jimbob
I'll check it out. Although Joe's a nice kid and he is a good singer, I want RATM to be number 1, just in a hope that it is possible to see a Christmas Number 1 that isn't X Factor. I'm hoping so as well, it has been a while since we last saw a Christmas No 1 that wasn't an X-Factor produced one.

Wesley
..... I've bought one from iTunes, 7Digital, Play and Amazon. And also got 3 free from 7Digital. Can I risk anymore? Also, maybe now it's getting later all the real rebels will come online and.... buy? It's annoying how there's supposedly over 800 thousand people on the Facebook group, most of who I'm assuming haven't bothered to buy it.
Daft
Posted? NME - For the bored - Google Latest Feed I find this amusing. All 7Digital have to say is RATM is 11,000 behind and they get a sudden boost in sales. I wouldn't trust what they say.

or else you will DIE
http://bit.ly/rage-amazon Not since Bing Crosby's 'White Christmas' has such a beautiful Christmas song been written. This release from Rage Against The Machine gently plucks on our heart's sentimental strings, and whisks us off into a winter wonderland full of love and hope, befitting of this time of year. The opening stanzas softly move from allusion and metaphor to a more direct comment on how Christmas brings out the child in us all and the importance of recognising love in our surroundings. As the song briskly flitters into the bridge, we can almost smell the log fires burning and taste the sweet and heady mixture of mulled wine and dark yuletide chocolate dancing in our mouths. De la Rocha's sweet refrain conjures visions of Elks sprinkled with snow, scattered across a wintery mountainside as one peers from a warm cabin in the distance, sharing anecdotes with loved ones next to a crackling fireside. Then, just a jaunt away, the chorus is a thrilling sleigh ride, glistening and sparkling our way across a winter scene, punctuated by crystal beads of snow prickling the skin, filling us with joy and reminding us of the true nature of Christmas once again...love. This slightly up-tempo but heart-felt song is truly a breath of fresh air. In a society where Christmas seems to have lost some of its meaning this festive song takes us back (or forwards maybe) to a simpler time when what really counted was 'togetherness' and 'virtue', and of 'altruism' and 'honesty'. With a subtle nod to the cool Jazz standards of 30s and maybe influenced slightly by such great vocalists as Vera Lynn and Cliff Richards, this song will appeal to everyone both young and old, and seems on course to make it into the echelons of great Christmas records. what a great customer review
Roostophe
http://bit.ly/rage-amazon "by such great vocalists as Vera Lynn and Cliff Richards" what a great customer review I wish people wouldn't spell Cliff's name incorrectly like that; it boils my blood like...something boily. (In case you don't know: My surname is Richards and I abhor Cliff Richard. Arsehole.) Anyway, carry on. Don't mind me.

Rummy
I think the other judges (Cowell excluded) kinda feel defensive of Joe because he's young and they've spent a great deal of time with him and I'd imagine they feel somewhat motherly toward him and they see this as an unfair attack (as people are angrier, presumably, at Cowell). It would be kinda hypocritical to just not bother, or at least it would lose public face. I think its fair enough if Joe wants to say he doesn't like rock music, we're all entitled to choices. And I'd imagine The Sun set up the dartboard thing, they're hardly the most grown up newspaper I still think it's that AND the fact it's x-factor and they have assumed an easy win. I imagine people spend alot of time with people in the music business, managers, writers, producers, I'd definitely think so for a christmas no.1 attempt, and maybe some of these people spend MORE time than the judges have with these contestants. What's the difference? Most of the judges are celebrities, plus the fact they weren't expecting this to come and trump all the effort they've put in. God forbid it work anything like the real industry. It's not like they haven't already made a pretty penny out of this whole phenomenon either.
