Better than a piece of plastic (you Mr Hawk!). I had the same idea for Super Monkey Ball...except you put it in a hamster ball like thing. Could also work for Katamari. Pick em up a bit on one side and move it forward and plonk its leg down, repeat with the other side and just keep doing that.
